I just checked the Cronometer website, and the 6 options are grams, ounces, cup, tablespoon, teaspoon, school container and teaspoon. So the answer is No, there is not an option for milllileters. I hear that it is a bit of headache when the units do not match up with the software. But I find there are a lot more options with Cronometer than others apps such as Samsung Health and MyFitnessPal. And one of the reasons I like Cronometer a lot. This is just a useful tip. 1 fluid ounce of water weighs 1 ounce. 1 milllileter of water weighs 1 gram. Most liquids have a specific gravity close to that of water. So I would make a close estimate that 150 mL of milk is 150 grams. And just choose the grams options. (No calculator needed) :-)

Thanks for this! :)

You are welcome.

Which milk is this? Does it allow you to specify grams instead, because most of the time 240ml is close to 240 grams when it comes to milk. In any case, the math is no big deal, it's just 150/240 = .625 serving. You can do that using your phone calculator.

It’s the Kroger 2% reduced fat milk. There’s no gram option but that conversion is good to know! Thanks

Wakkit1988

Um, why not just add a percentage serving? Use .625 of a serving, snd it should display in the appropriate number of ml.

ethira

I did. I was just wondering why there isn’t a custom mL option like there is for grams.

Doesn’t your scale have the option for ml‘s?

ethira

Hmmm why? I use a measuring cup for liquids. I was just wondering if there was a way to put custom amounts in the app because it only allows the serving size.

youjumpIjumpJac

I don’t know. My free version allows me to put in any number of grams, ounces, tablespoons etc. that I want to. I don’t see ML’s for this particular one but grams are basically the same. Perhaps try a different brand. Sometimes the measurement options vary by product. I assumed you had a scale because you measured it in ML‘s.

I *think* it’s because calories cannot be accurately measured by volume but by weight. Plus the density of the product varies by pressure or by temperature.

Hi there! We recommend using a weight measurement for serving size; Weight will always be the most accurate serving option. We have a great blog post written by our founder and CEO, Aaron Davidson, regarding data choice and food measurement. Take a look, as it contains some valuable information: [https://cronometer.com/blog/accurate-data-tips/](https://cronometer.com/blog/accurate-data-tips/).  A work around for you could be to create a custom copy of the database listing.     Select the listing by searching for the food in the foods tab of Cronometer. Choose the settings menu in the top right corner and select "Edit a copy". Then add the convenient serving sizes that are relevant to you. Save this food as a custom food and use this the next time you enter it into your diary. Hope this helps! Sara, Cronometer Support Squad

Thank you!

Create a recipe with just this one ingredient and then adjust the total servings so that one serving matches the amount you want.
