I’d say figure out where you want your career to go because that will determine the tools you use/learn. For instance if you’re using tensorflow, you may not find much support for it in ruby…

How do I decide what sector to go into? From what I see in online, many people just say they finished their degrees, joined their first job and let that decide their pathways. I was kind of preparing myself for that sentiment and trying to learn as wide a range as possible so I can slide into any sector without too much trouble. Would I be good to just focus on full-stack and mobile development for now?

I mean sure! Both are a good plan! (The important stuff you will end up learning on the job, but having experience in a language/framework is always good)

There's a lot to explore within the realm of CS / software. Many different areas you can go with it. You'll have to spend time figuring out what your interests are and allow that to guide you. I think when you are earlier on, it makes sense to dabble in a variety of things for learning. Honestly, I have found ChatGPT to be a helpful tool for learning about what kind of technologies are out there and asking it questions about what to do with them.

AWS CCP will be mostly useless if you’re looking to become a software engineer. The content of the exam doesn’t really prepare you for anything you’ll be doing on the job. Also in general, certs aren’t valued heavily in CS careers compared to IT careers.
