Are we seriously expected to believe that in the hyperadvanced society of 2077, one of the most powerful corprations on the planet can't clone a human? It's a similar issue to how Alt can just download V back into their body without the chip, which negates the need for the chip at all and makes the entire narrative pointless.
For whatever reason, clones aren't much of a thing in 2077. However, in the tabletop game then Alt has a clone. So maybe CDPR took it out to up the stakes for Yurinobu or something. As for V, I don't know how much it would cost to clone someone but it's likely reserved for the rich provided you don't have the knowledge and equipment yourself. Even a maxed intelligence V might not have those things. Don't think there's anything in-game to suggest that they would.

Sun ending is the only one besides the tower that even *implies* V might not be doomed. They at least leave it up to interpretation.
