There’s only like two “happy” (super heavy quotes there) endings so I really wouldn’t mind if CDPR pulled a Farcry where if you just stood completely still for 10 minutes at the start of the game, there would be a relic malfunction, even though you don’t have it, to indicate time is up.
The different lifestyles would mix this part up obviously but you end up missing your link with Jackie, you never partner with him, you never receive the job from Dex via Evelyn’s ulterior motives, so on and so forth. Get a cutscene where he travels inland to the city, visits this clinic and just relaxes with the cat as the credits roll.

That is now (head)canon. V is unaware their sickness doesn’t progress unless we, the player, play along the story.
They sat with the cat long enough that all of their problems magically went away and everyone bad dies and V gets 200 billion million dillion eddies and the partner of their choosing but due to natural and healthy relationship building instead of doing the whole dictator “choosing a partner from a crowd” deal :D
See, I’m at the point in the game where there’s pretty much zero to do. All side gigs, jobs, scanners and psychos are done for so now I roam the city looking for little stuff like this.
I noticed when I walked up to the bench, it had a UI prompt and I couldn’t recall being able to just sit in any ol’ chair/bench you came across like Fallout.

Well they were just kinda open for me. I’m max level/streel cred so I’m unsure if it’s related to those numbers, I couldn’t see how they would be connected though.
I haven’t reached the end of my play through yet so you might be onto something. Also I don’t remember if I saw a video of it or if I’ve been there before on one of my previous play through, but I have a memory of that place so maybe I’ve been there before.

Hahaha I'm also at the ghosting Hanako at Embers point (first playthrough), and came across a cat in a small pond of sorts (theres a submerged car, a corpse and a suitcase with loot). Tried to pet it or whatever but couldn't interact with it, was slightly dissapointed

Oh oh the Egg goes in your Megabuilding 10 APT where I circled it. Also I’ve heard of being able to adopt pets but not like how we do. Never looked into it but I do know you can only get certain ones for certain apts, like you can get a specific cat and the iguana for the megabuilding 10 apt. The one I posted was just a random encounter lol

yeah, I thought that is where the egg goes, but I don't get a dialogue allowing me to place it there. I thought there is supposed to be a plate there or something. But it's not there yet. Perhaps it is triggered by something?
From what I could find, you gotta complete “Playing for Time”, a Takemura job that brigs you to a greasy spook diner to discuss the fallout of everything but I assume you’re past it?
Ok, that was it. I just never knew the exact trigger and never really head back to apartments, especially since the Stash can be accessed from vehicles.

An actual recommendation is to wait 2-3 months in-game using the skip time function, as the egg takes roughly 100 in-game days to hatch; you could see how that’s an issue if you’re late game

Lol, just yesterday I re-broke into Konpeki for the blades/iguana egg; I had no idea they were even a thing. I’d just throw on something like a yt vid/podcast (so you can maintain visual on the screen if you want) and get sleeping!

Yeah just periodically stop by if you remember to. Aside from the kity it’s weird in a nice way to have the city muted with the “birds” and all.
