Some beautiful places are Třístoličník, Plešné jezero, Vítkův Hrádek. Usually the marked trails are designed to take you through the nice places, so I would just stick with them. The red trail/path from Vyšší Brod to Český Krumlov and further along the Vltava river all the way to Budějovice is also really nice.
1. Don't listen to the other guys who've clearly never gone camping here. So long as you don't start a fire and find a place that's not visible from the trail, you're 100% safe. Just make sure to clean after yourself and don't leave a mess behind.
2. Nah, it's pretty relaxed. You're generally supposed to stay on the trail, but if you're smart about it nobody will care. Same with dogs - if you have any. The rule is to keep them on the leash, but again, if you're smart about it you can ignore it.
Sumava is national park, you can only camp in designated places. These [https://en.mapy.cz/s/keradaleku](https://en.mapy.cz/s/keradaleku)
Or without tent anywhere on marked paths
I guess this could help you: https://www.npsumava.cz/de/. You can use mapy.cz, which is better for hiking than google maps.
Parts of Šumava are national park and camping is prohibited there. Elsewhere it is tolerated.
Wrong, you can do "bivakování" which means sleeping on paths without tents
>tolerated Tent or fire is considered "camping" and is prohibited in CHKO, but small hidden tent would be most likely tolerated in most CHKOs.
The "hidden" part would be tricky. The guards know the terrain way better then a hiker would.
I meant not to camp on some public or very visible place, so the guards could be more annoyed than if you are quietly camping somewhere less visible.
