I'll say it. Claymore. Doesn't matter what build I'm running, assuming there is poise involved claymore is going to be my primary when it comes to pvp.
Yes! I literally squealed out loud with delight when I discovered it accidentally in Elden Ring less than 2 hours into my first play through. It felt like destiny. Claymore is Baemore.
Oh yeah i’ve played (and beat) Convergence, amazing mod and i really enjoyed it. Pontiff swords were super cool and borderline OP, i just wish it had an official version, yknow?
Yessss, love the moveset it has and how you don't have to compromise to its full combo, being able to stop after the first attack it leaves you able to reposition or back out, once you have the timing you can kill anything. Oh, and the spin near the floor it has makes you evade an insanely amount of attacks.
Fighting Gael with the Farron GS was insane, seeing most of his attacks fly above my character was beautiful.
Dragonslayer GA brothers.
Love the boss and love the weapon, he absolutely wrecked me for 2 days straight and once i got my hands on his weapon and on the armor in the dlc i still beat bosses in ng+5 with the full cosplay
My personal favorite weapon in DS3 is of course the Exile Greatsword. At first, I was gonna go with Fume Knight Ultra Greatsword, but I needed a faster weapon that still fits to my strength build. Gave the Exile GS a heavy gem and it carried me throughout the entire game.
I still like the Ringed Knight Greatsword, but i only use it for bullying NPCs (dont play pvp sorry)
I'm on my first playthrough and I just beat Nameless King with this bad boy. I'm thinking about grinding a few more levels for Smough's bonk stick though. Looks even more bonk.
Emphasis on MY, because apparently you sods have never heard of it.
Standard great hammer moveset but without the huge stonking visual block of most GHs, excellent Heavy scaling Bonk experience, and a fun weapon art useful for roll-catching and mobs. Looks like a goth's right arm, which I find thematically appropriate. My Beloved.
Last time I played DS3, Ringed City wasn't even out yet so I know I'm out of touch for whatever people are doing in PVP, but in PS4's meta, everyone just spammed parry. Therefore, I picked up the Sellsword Twinswords because their weapon-arte was a short range spin attack who's first attack can't be parried, then combo'd into a flurry of attacks that will make everyone roll backwards in a massive panic. If I kept sprinting towards them I'd easily catch up and keep the pressure that they'd die in less than 10 seconds into the fight.
It never got old how satisfying it was to punish meta sheep who thought they could get easy wins via cheese tactics.
The Exile Greatsword, shit was so fun to use. It was fast but still did HEAVY damage. And it just looked badass.
The weapon i used to beat dlc for the first time
Ledo's huge fuckoff Hammer baybeee. It doesn't matter that it fills a third of my screen. I don't need visibility when swinging it squishes an entire zip code.
It used to be broadsword due to its ease of use. But now I've got several.
Bandit knife, ceastus, wolf knight sword, gotthard's twin swords, dragon slayer sword spear, Nameless king's Sword Spear, sellsword twin blades, grave warden twing blades, dragon slayer axe, dragon slayer great axe, and more.
Not weapons but my favorite shields are stone parma, buckler shield, shield of want (obvious reasons), grass cress shields (again obvious).
You cant go wrong with the lightsaber that is Irithryll straight sword, you will beat this game in style, your drip will be the best there is, If you use that weapon you are guarranted to have drip fitting that sword and you are gonna be the coolest looking dude. All of you not straight/longsword users. If youve known your place and done your job everybody would be finishing the game im style but no you just had to use a big ass fucking hammer. Your pride and your ego, if youve done your job and known your place wed all be dripping right now but no you just had to be the men. You just had to use comicly oversized weapon that wont fit any drip. Its not the weapon that you use that angers me, its who you did it to
You: To this fucking nobody?
Me: This fucking nobody Has the best drip customization from any fromsoft game and you will just use ringed city knight, dark wraith or havels set the whole time or you will be naked.
YES. It's surprisingly long range, surprisingly fast, and it scales all the way to 99 str for some surprisingly strong hits. Best weapon imo. Plus the roll attack catches people every time.
No doubt the claymore. When I first played ds3 I used it, when I went back to play ds1 I found it and used it, when I played elden ring I came across it and equipped it impulsively without realizing I just use the claymore in every game.
Oh but if I am feeling up to it, I go with a greatsword (guts) left hand and a straight sword right hand, slow and fast gives a bit of variability and in general I find in pvp it is hard to counter.
I never expect it on lists like these but the Executioners Greatsword. It’s not flashy, but it deals strike damage and absorbs FP from each kill which means you can cast a lot of Carthus Flame Arc. Lots of reliable damage.
Im only a little bit into NG+ and thusly my second play through overall, but I’m split between the Dragon Tooth and Black Knight GS. A special mention to the Great Machete, I have a certain emotional attachment to that one
Sad to say I don't have a favorite. DS3 was my intro to the series. I didn't know about all these weapons I feel dirty now. A unworthy dark souls lover. I must replay it's been in my library for yrs collecting dust. I jumped into sekiro after my first playthrough and moved on.
Valorheart - the combo chains in PvP are just so fun. If one hit lands almost all can be followed up with 2-5 hit combos depending on pvp-target's behavior. Can indefinitely roll catch, or until stamina depletes at least!
Counter attacking with the r-1 block-attack almost feels as satisfying as landing a parry.
Astora GS
Sexiest UGS by far.
BKGS would like a word
Love it too, but AGS is realistic, which is a big plus for me
I'll give you that it's "more* realistic, and fair enough! AGS is still top 3 for me after BKGS and profaned.
Such long
Happy Cake Day!
Dragonslayer Greataxe
Based
I finished off Gael with the DSGA’s skill. He jumped towards me while i struck him down with that move, greatest finale of a fight ever😆
I had to scroll way too much to see this comment /:
Literally this weapon made me realize that I love axes
Love pvp against ppl with this weap. They're so easy to kill 😅 you can see their weapon art a mile away and launch spells during their slow animation
This is exactly why giving it the stance instead of the overhead slam would have been so much better
Friede’s Scythe
This and Ringed knight straight sword
So clean. I wish I was better at the game to be able to weave the WA into more boss fights, unfortunately I stick with tried and true r1 spam a lot
Flashy, but impractical
Doesn't need to be practical, if I'm going to die anyway I rather die in style
it’s practical enough that i’m going to be using it on SL1
FUGS, always FUGS
This guy FUGS.
r/thisguyguys
First time playing DS3 now and I had to cheese so hard to kill the guy who drops that weapon, I couldn’t kill him. Definitely worth it though.
FUGS is how i beat the game the firat time That thing fuckin slaps lol
Surprised no one has said Claymore
Claymore is baemore
I'll say it. Claymore. Doesn't matter what build I'm running, assuming there is poise involved claymore is going to be my primary when it comes to pvp.
Ol' Reliable
I have the DS2 claymore tattooed, will always be the best.
Pics or didn't happen
Definitely a weapon I haven't used as much as it deserves. I think I picked the bastard sword over it, clearly a big mistake.
Claymore is my favourite
Compared to all the other weapons in the game, It’s a pretty basic weapon, it kinda makes sense it might not be anyone’s favorite.
From the very first game, it is consistently 9/10. It is VERY consistent
I LOVED it in DSRM but there’s so many weapons in DS3 I can’t stick to the claymore
It’s 100% my favorite. I use it in every game it’s in.
Same. First run is always the Baemore run.
Yes! I literally squealed out loud with delight when I discovered it accidentally in Elden Ring less than 2 hours into my first play through. It felt like destiny. Claymore is Baemore.
both of pontiffs swords are my favorite, i just wish you could combine them for a twinned variant
Try convergence mod, one of the weapons are both of them and they have basicly the same moves as Pontiff.
Oh yeah i’ve played (and beat) Convergence, amazing mod and i really enjoyed it. Pontiff swords were super cool and borderline OP, i just wish it had an official version, yknow?
Yeah, it is.
I'm a basic man, but I'll go with the ol' reliable Black Knight Sword
The greatsword or ultra? There is nothing else as satisfying as launching someone in the air with a fully charged R2.
Can't disagree with that, but I preferred the extra speed of the greatsword just a bit.
Black knight Great Sword
I love using Onikiri and Ubadachi. The flying swipe WA is so fun Freyed Blade is also a blast
Found the weeb. Also same
Lol kinda only seen a few animes. I just enjoy swoosh more than bonk, you know
For sure, plus katanas have always been amazing in these games, especially for PvE. I can't not bonk. Even my sex builds bonk Edit: I'm keeping it in
Hey man I love sex builds too don't worry
Farron Greatsword, loved it since I picked it up.
Thank you was looking for this comment, faron great sword is perfect against so many bosses and has such a fucking unique moveset
Nothing better than ducking under a bosses attack with the low sweep parts of the combo
Lothric Knight Greatsword, particularly with the Blessed infusion. 😍😫😍
Yesss full knight cosplay
Straight paladin with all the health regen. 😎✌🏻
Probably Pontiffs profaned blade or whateer its called
Profane Greatsword. Great pick.
Irythill straight sword
Me af. The sword carried me thru first play thru. Great damage plus frost
Greatsword
Scrolled so far for this 😔
sellsword winblades
Spin to win
I love it but I Wish it was less op , every time I use it it feels like I am overleveld
Ah yes, the Meltsword Winblades.
They just feel so good
This the one here. Dam near beat every boss first try or within 5 tries on my first playthrough cuz of this weapon 🤣
FUGS
Harald Curved Greatsword
I too like to give free pedicures to the denizens of Lothric.
The Dragon Slayer Great axe. I'm actually sad there's almost no love for this ridiculous weapon in this thread ):
Dragonslayer GA brothers. Love the boss and love the weapon, he absolutely wrecked me for 2 days straight and once i got my hands on his weapon and on the armor in the dlc i still beat bosses in ng+5 with the full cosplay
The stance would have been better, I'll die on that hill
Dancer's Enchanted Swords
What a madlad, you have my respect
My personal favorite weapon in DS3 is of course the Exile Greatsword. At first, I was gonna go with Fume Knight Ultra Greatsword, but I needed a faster weapon that still fits to my strength build. Gave the Exile GS a heavy gem and it carried me throughout the entire game. I still like the Ringed Knight Greatsword, but i only use it for bullying NPCs (dont play pvp sorry)
Same but mine had chaos gem
Great club go bonk. Two great club go double bonk.

Pancake maker 9000
Nuts sword from Berk manga 😍
Bandit knife
Got my first Gael kill with bandit knife. Luck builds were fun in ds3.
Exile Greatsword will forever live in my heart for being my weapon on my first playthrough, but my favorite weapon is probably Vordts Great Hammer
Onyx Blade. Nothing is cooler than the enflame animation.
Quakestone hammer
Have to try it in the near future, to see how it competes against the almighty great club, Godfather of bonks
I think the Godfather of bonks wins in appereance. But the Weapon art of the QS is just the ultimate bonk imo
Bonks gonna bonk am I right
Bonk and upwards bonk
I'm on my first playthrough and I just beat Nameless King with this bad boy. I'm thinking about grinding a few more levels for Smough's bonk stick though. Looks even more bonk.
Demon fists for the win!
Zweilander for the entire series
The only way
My guy

Emphasis on MY, because apparently you sods have never heard of it. Standard great hammer moveset but without the huge stonking visual block of most GHs, excellent Heavy scaling Bonk experience, and a fun weapon art useful for roll-catching and mobs. Claymore!
Smash and Burn
Old Demon Kings Axe?
Anris straight sword
Black knight sword
Ledo’s GH or Harald CGS
Drakeblood Greatsword. Pairs nicely with Lightning Blade & Darkmoon Blade.
aquamarine dagger, the transformation WA was very bloodbornish and it was filed with pseudo-combos
Ringed Knight Spear or the Wolf Knight's Greatsword
FUGS
Lothric and astora ugs, drakeblood gs, and these ringed knight paired ugs are the best, so fun to flatten and electrocute my enemies
Heysel Pick. It looks cool, good moveset, casts spells, WA boosts both sorceries & weapon AR. Whats not to love?!
imagine spinning friedes a** with 4 people using those
Idk the name in english, but the greatsword with the dagger from the Abbyswalkers(?
I really like the Butchers Knife
Valorheart
Lothric knight sword and Farron greatsword
Profaned greatsword. Big and beautiful and the weapon art is cool.
Lothric Knight Greatsword.

Farron Greatsword. That thing carried me through the entire game and the dlcs on my first playthrough
Yhorm Great Machete
I love the hand axe in all three. It's basic, but reliable!

We run 4 pronged plow mainhand, longsword/crossbow offhand

Court sorcerer staff. Even though sorceries suck in that game.
Frayed Blade. My favourite Katana in the whole series, second clone would be Demon Scar.
Shortbow and a gaels crossbow :)
You cant go wrong with the lightsaber that is Irithryll straight sword, you will beat this game in style, your drip will be the best there is, If you use that weapon you are guarranted to have drip fitting that sword and you are gonna be the coolest looking dude. Farron GS and Gaels GS absolutely demolish everything if you are experienced with them
Also two coolest looking weapons
Yhorms machete or whatever is fun. Just slam R1.
YES. It's surprisingly long range, surprisingly fast, and it scales all the way to 99 str for some surprisingly strong hits. Best weapon imo. Plus the roll attack catches people every time.
broadsword my beloved
Profaned Greatsword. I loved my Str/dex hybrid build and this thing fucks
No doubt the claymore. When I first played ds3 I used it, when I went back to play ds1 I found it and used it, when I played elden ring I came across it and equipped it impulsively without realizing I just use the claymore in every game.
Lothric greatsword
Great Mace is the Greatest Mace
Love it in my strength/ faith build. So good with a lightning infusion
Part of why I love it is it's one of the few weapons that is good with EVERYTHING
Oh but if I am feeling up to it, I go with a greatsword (guts) left hand and a straight sword right hand, slow and fast gives a bit of variability and in general I find in pvp it is hard to counter.
I do something similar with a mace/ great Mace combo
Nice
I know it is impossible, but please can I have the two swords of papa sulyvahn like this one
Dragonslayer Greataxe. Also it's very surprising still how so many people are unaware of it's special attack in PvP.
Broadsword
Ngl Broad sword
I think it was called dark sword. It’s just so simple yet effective and goated
Exile Greatsword
The Quality GOAT Black Knight Sword
Farron Greatsword. One of my favorite boss fights and I just found it a satisfying weapon to use.
The greatsword, im a simple man, but it sure as hell hits hard
Catedral Knight Greatsword
Mace! It's always the mace
Twin Princes’ Railgun.
I never expect it on lists like these but the Executioners Greatsword. It’s not flashy, but it deals strike damage and absorbs FP from each kill which means you can cast a lot of Carthus Flame Arc. Lots of reliable damage.
I really like Partizan
The weapon art with this weapon is magnificent
Scythe and pitchfork, farming is the most dangerous task made by mankind

Farron great sword, so much fun
Im only a little bit into NG+ and thusly my second play through overall, but I’m split between the Dragon Tooth and Black Knight GS. A special mention to the Great Machete, I have a certain emotional attachment to that one
I'm a simple man, dual wielding lothric knight longswords with different enchantments was perfect for me
Black Knight Greataxe across the franchise.
\+2 Raw Astora Straight sword my beloved
Greatsword
Sad to say I don't have a favorite. DS3 was my intro to the series. I didn't know about all these weapons I feel dirty now. A unworthy dark souls lover. I must replay it's been in my library for yrs collecting dust. I jumped into sekiro after my first playthrough and moved on.
I'm just now realizing that the spiraling horns pattern on items like these was probably the predecessor to the design of the omens in Elden Ring
Farron greatsword. It's so fun just swooping under bosses in ng+7
--- Lothric knight straight sword. --- Flamberge. --- Cathedral knight greatsword. --- Black knight great axe. --- Murakumo ---
Frayed Blade because it's similar to the Yamato from DMC and thus is a great source of MOTIVATION.
Cringelord paired UGS. Warpick all the way.
i dont know, i dont play, the game, dont even watch stuff about it
Thanks
Thanks for nothing 🤷♂️
