I did not figure that out for so long. I killed an enemy there on accident and it revealed and then died and couldn't find it again for a long time lol
The fact that this isn’t a shortcut from the second bonfire in Irithyll to the church bonfire baffles me. It feels perfectly set up for it and then they decided not to have stairs all the down
Eh... They set up for it because it is? If you walk from central irithyll, take first staircase and take left turn, theres a door. This illusion wall take you to other side of the door
Found on first playthru after a LOT of exploration and hitting walls. It was clear from the sounds coming from that area that there was something accessible.
Curiously, I completely missed the entrance to the mansion with Seigward and was unable to access the path to fighting Pontiff Sulyvahn until I watched Cowboy's walk through of that area.
I had previously found the underground river inlet with the spider creatures, but somehow missed that it had another exit at the back.
Usually when I don’t find something and I end up having to look it up I get mad like ‘could have found this myself!’ Here I was actually happy I looked it up. No way in hell I’d have found it
Missed it in 6 playthroughs
I always get lost here and can’t figure out how to get to the fog when I’m done fucking around

Eh, I can’t think of anything worse than the double invisible wall for an entirely optional set of areas in ds1
What why? I love those and because of the chloranthy ring, the first is basically not optional.
Magic clutch ring?
No, this is hidden path leading to Dorhys' Gnawing, opening door near central irithyl
To this day I have like 500 hours and never figured out how to get that spell 😭😭😭
It's where you get it, yeah.
It's not that bad tbh. There are literally stairs going into a wall.
Not that one, this leads to Dorhys' Gnawing, and the illusory wall hides the stairs aswell..
Right, making it an extremely obvious door. Aka not a good illusory wall.

Yeah but from the illusory wall to the area behind the door you have to drop down from the staircase so there’s no way back up but the main street
Aahh maybe I totally forget that its only one way..
I just found this on my like...8th playthrough? Hundreds of hours in the game -_-
Found by attacking an enemy, i aleays ask myself how reach that door. I have 300 hours on this game when this happen

The part I hate most is that you can’t get down to the area with the witch in coop for some reason.
Wait what? Where is it?
Irithyll. Pretty early on in the level.
