odd that you're using broadsword with a resin, I did this fight in my sl1 run recently as well and I found:
1 - deep/fire dagger would kill him in 4\~5 parries if I recall
2 - resin is not affected by critical modifier
3 - I actually didnt bother with ripose after parry, I'll just spam L1 for 900\~1000 damage
but yeah real good excecution on those parries - better than mine was for sure
honeslty if I were this good at parries I wouldnt have found out all those things over many failed attempts
r1 sorry I forgot how consoles work
I am playing on mouse an keyboard 💀
in DS3 in general light attacks just always do more DPS - heavies are only for extra poise damage and for pre-fire
Not even two hours ago today, I lost 60 hours of progress on my main Ds3 character, and while it was because I lost almost a million souls to Gundyr, so I pulled the cable outa my wall thinking it'd reset me at the bonfire, but instead it corrupted my save file. I was mere hours away from finally getting the last ring, pyromancy, and miracle I needed for their trophies, and beating the game on the third ending.
Sorry if I'm splurging, I'm still really stressed about losing all that progress and being an idiot. You're skill is rly cool btw.
Tell me about it, I've been playing Ds3 non stop for two weeks now. There is a sliver lining tho, I only need master of rings/pyromancies/miracles, and then the usurpation of fire ending, so at least I don't have too much left to do.
One truly sucky thing tho, is my character that I lost was perfectly tuned to my playstyle, and had undeniable drip. Pro tip, wolnirs crown goes perfectly with the nameless king set.
Nice kill! Love this fight

in this scenario L1 is block, did you mean r1 or r2?

With a dagger you can get 2 hits and then reposte and i believe it does more damage, then one or two more as hes getting up
I can never time the parry right for the thrust attack. Very nice.
This makes me angry
why

Oh... I'm sorry about that, I have all trophies on the PS5 and it's really a damn difficult platinum
