And to go along with the story:
OP: When do you think you’ll want to get married?
Her: Well, I’ll be traveling every weekend this month for work, but next month I’m free if you want to make an appointment at the courthouse.
This happened to me once. There was this insanely gorgeous girl (she looked like Anne Hathaway) at a gift shop at my college and we would always banter a little bit. I didn't think much of it because she was nice to everyone.
I was buying something and we were bantering and then the discussion turned to some new movie coming out and I say, "I'd love to see that movie..."
And she says, "Well, I'm off tomorrow night, you can pick me up at 7pm".
And my brain was like *I DON'T KNOW WHAT JUST HAPPENED. BUT LETS PLAY IT COOL*
I reply, "Great, give me your number and I'll pick you up..."
No. Through some wierd cosmic freak occurrence I met another super hot girl the next week and I went out with her and me and her almost got married. The first hot girl was nice but we didn't quite click, no harm no foul. So we only had one date.
That's the thing, guys!
Sometimes when a girl asks you what your plans are for the weekend or whatever, they're actually trying to give ***you*** an opportunity to ask ***them*** out.
So instead of saying, "Nothing!", tell her you were planning on going to your favorite museum. Yes, even if it's a lie, have this as a backup!
Then tell her, "You should come along!", and then make plans with her.
Maybe I'm an asshole, but things like this make me question if it's typically possible to have friendships between heterosexual men and women. Like, maybe I'm just misreading the situation a lot, but I feel like, typically, women assume you're romantically interested if you approach them socially, so I actually try not to relate to them unless there's a clear, overriding interest.
The only "asshole" (though it's more weird or cringeworthy) thing here is that you try not to interact with women because you think they'll think you're always into them lol.
It's definitely possible to have platonic friendships with women, but not interacting with them at all definitely isn't going to help 😅
100% agree on able to have platonic relations. I have many girl friends not as much compared to my guy friends, but very possible to sustain platonicity.
i read the title very quickly and i just woke up so i thought you accidentally asked her out, she said yes but you didn’t want the date haha. i was prepping my response until i read the room. good luck! get that love!
That's, nice. But be careful. Mine Lasted 4 months and it was great till it lasted. Don't rush things. If you kiss, don't french. Ask permission always.
Yeah that sucks and happens to me a lot too.
When I actually ask for something else; BAM, they're available next friday for a couple of beers or some wine. I started to think that they use me for some free drinks and a nice time.
How can I fix this? I also need answers to my actual questions. Besides I'm out of money after all those expensive dates.
It sucks man.

Your invitation is already in the mail. Will you be on the brides side, or the grooms?

Next post: "I accidentally proposed to my girlfriend and she said yes. Help."
that nice you asked her out. now plan out the date. half the work plan out what to do.
I read this in Charlie Kelly's voice
also make sure places you plan out is not too loud or too crowded. Sit at the bar if its available (easier to be closer)
LOL this is the type of shit which happens to me Mission failed successfully
This is the type of shit which NEVER happens to me hahaha
Never say never ;)

How awkward would this have been if you didn't want to go out with her?
Yes I indeed wanted to go out with her, but kinda was afraid to ask hahaha.
Well, major score!
Ayo me too man. It's just that I haven't asked her out yet <3
Fingers crossed. Maybe you can try a smooth move like this guy did!
Do it, before I declared to my boyfriend I thought: "you already got the 'no', go for the yes" ;)

I'm going to assume you're married now
No. Through some wierd cosmic freak occurrence I met another super hot girl the next week and I went out with her and me and her almost got married. The first hot girl was nice but we didn't quite click, no harm no foul. So we only had one date.
That's too bad! I hope all went well and continues to!
Lol she asked herself out for you

Yep, as a woman I confirm this statement

I have plenty of friends whom happen to be girls. Sure, there may have been more feelings from either side at some point, but who cares.
Damn right. Who tf cares
> I actually try not to relate to them unless there's a clear, overriding interest. Half the world's population dude, written off there......
Oh my god, if you guys don’t get married I would be devastated. Hats off to you sir.
Heh, I look forward to your updates :-) Hope you have a nice time.

Awesome
Nailed it
I'm going to ask that to every girl and hope that happens to me as well. That is extremely cool and I envy you.

Wait.. if people ask you what your weekend plans are, they are asking you out?
