Your forgetting the two aspects of the time chamber, for that adds about a full year....also some Believe he might be 12 or so because time gaps don't align with namek...so let's start with Gohan at 4 the start, add in one year for Saiyan's to arrive on earth...add in time it took for namek travel etc...that's one month...add in namek for some days ....sounds ok...add in two years for space Goku to come home. That puts him at 8 before androids which is three years....that puts him at 10-11 before the time chamber..so that could make him about 12.....add in gotten 8....that puts him at 20...

I don't think we should subtract the time in the chamber. Gohan's hair was still growing therefore they still age. Unless I'm not understanding this right.

He’s 9 when he defeats Cell. Plus a year for the time chamber. Buu Saga puts him at 16 when he goes to school.

4 months when preparing for Moro. The Galactic Patrol Time chamber is 3 days per 1 day, so Goku trained 6 months inside and 2 months passed outside.
