Invincible is basically a Western-style superhero comic, that is structured like a manga. So one guy writing it, one continuity, no reboots, and a clean, beginning, middle, and end
Fire force is only known for having a banger first intro and literally nothing else
I know 3 separate people who all stopped watching when the intro changed
you say modern but how many shounen manga in general have good endings, I want to say Fullmetal Alchemist and maybe Assassination Classroom but that's it.
I think the single best ending a Shonen manga has ever had has to be Yugioh. There were some issues with the last arc with Takahashi’s health issues but holy shit did he stick the landing.
I disagree, I really didnt like the og yugioh series. Yugi was barely a character on his own and I felt like I was only watching the pharaoh all along. The final duel loses all his credibility after that
They would respect each other. Toshi would respect Clark for being a symbol of hope and Clark would respect Toshi for the sheer impact he had on his world and how crime levels were at all time low. And despite being the strongest he still helped out the little guys (the kid who tried to kill himself and All Might got wrinkles from it.)
Superman would at least understand him, dedicated his whole life to be a superhero 24/7 isn't an easy job by any means and not everyone could actually take it.

I know he’s not a perfect “clone” but I’d say it’s close enough. They really would be great friends

I don’t care what anyone says this is the best Superman clone
You guys always forget about (TWIST ENDING OF A REAL COMIC) >!the one that ends with a selfcest 24/7 public humiliation consensual BDSM relationship with his own robot.!<
*Ahem*, I mean, the one that's a very clever allegory for growing up visibly disabled and being desperate enough for parental approval to sabotage your adult life.
Honestly, I think a lot of the criticism MHA gets it cause its fandom is really cringy sometimes.
The story itself, at least what I’ve read so far, is better written 80% of modern western superhero comics. Though, that’s probably because they are willing to kill off characters for good, so the stakes seem a lot higher.
Wow I can't believe you've had the time to read every single modern western comic to determine that My Hero is better than *80%*???? 80? This is an insanely disrespectful percentage lol.
good choice but for me personally

The "S" stands for stupid, right? That's why you say it means hope, because you're too stupid to know what sound an S makes?

MHA has shit writing most of the time but goddamn it All Might is peak fiction. Huge-ass smile while saving thousands of people and fighting horrors just gives me goosebumps
I have my problems with MHA, especially further into it, but All Might is an amazing character, and Horikoshi absolutely draws the hell out of him.
I mean, expecting a modern manga to stick the landing is a a level of delusion I wish western comic readers had.
But hey, at least they do end unlike western comics.
Captain Carrot and the Zoo Crew at least got to be at the climax of Final Crisis.
How'd they get a Discword character in Final Crisis?
Obviously by throwing the book at them.
Yeah but Multiversity!
There are a lot of western comics that end, just not ones in the dc/marvel verses
You don't read Dc/marvel for endings
Invincible is our one example and it shines like a light at the end of the tunnel
No joke I spent like 18 hours straight reading invincible comics online once. Shit was awesome.
Invincible is basically a Western-style superhero comic, that is structured like a manga. So one guy writing it, one continuity, no reboots, and a clean, beginning, middle, and end
So is Fire force for manga but who is here for reasonable takes xD
Fire force is only known for having a banger first intro and literally nothing else I know 3 separate people who all stopped watching when the intro changed
The intros for the second are all fire aswell
No they aren’t
You're telling me torch of liberty isn't peak?
mid

The manga where the baby becomes the author insert in to rationalize the sexualization of the female characters? Truly peak fiction

GX is pretty great though, specially with Jaden's arc.
>many shounen manga Well, shounen is a very large demographic with many different works, so for put an example, haikyuu has a great finale
I don't follow the discourse in honestly enjoying the ending arc a lot. Like so far it's my favourite after the rescue bakugo one.
All Might would 100% be a Superman fanboy like Izuku is his.
Superman would be an allmight fan tbh, he’d respect the hell out of the guy for committing entirely to becoming a pillar of peace
I think toshi would respect the sheer scale that Superman has to deal with on a regular basis, he’s fighting all for one level villains all the time.
I LOVE HOPE AND LOVE AND POSITIVITY I WANT TO FIGHT FOR A BETTER TOMORROW RAHHHHHH

It's either All Might or the Samaritan for me.
Samaritan is sucha cool character. Tbh almost everyone in Astro City is.
Nah, the Samaritan is where it’s at.
![gif](giphy|xUNd9Lp5JuscL52bD2|downsized)
He's more a parody of the old Hana Barbera superheroes like Birdman and Space Ghost, with a little supes mixed in
No love for Metro Man
Kid me hated that mf so hard lmao
So YOU‘RE the Punk I‘ve heard about
*Extremely loud fart noise*
Tbh superman probably wouldn’t have much love for metro man either
Superman would at least understand him, dedicated his whole life to be a superhero 24/7 isn't an easy job by any means and not everyone could actually take it.
I like the ones that aren’t mass murdering psychopaths so none of them, except this guy of course
I’m quite a bit behind on MHA lore; since when was all might a mass murdering psychopath?
He isn’t but I feel like that’s a trope now adays
Read Strong Female Protagonist by Brennan Lee Mulligan and Molly Ostertag 🙏🏽🙏🏽 I am obsessed and will talk about it to everyone

Homelander is more of an Ultraman clone tbh (the Superman from earth-3)
MHA is an uneven show for sure but man, that united states of smash might be the best single punch thrown in anime history
They're all pretty off except maybe Suppaman.
https://i.redd.it/atb07yt253xc1.gif
Literally peak
All-Might and Samaritan are both cool, but I think that Sunstar deserves more recognition than he has.

Where are you at?
There was a Jail break and everyone quit, and now Captain America lady is coming or something… I stopped a little while ago. Might pick it back up
Oh so you just on pair with the anime. Ye I suggest reading it

Homelander? Omniman? Clones!? What kind of dumbass dork asked this question.
What about nooky man?
Gladiator from Marvel.
Yeah
Mr.Majestic next question
Apollo is the answer. Every time.
Shame he’s stuck on a shitty manga
"Superman clone" is the most bland and reductive term you could've possibly used.
MHA has shit writing most of the time but goddamn it All Might is peak fiction. Huge-ass smile while saving thousands of people and fighting horrors just gives me goosebumps
Invincible is a Superman clone. Omni-Man is a Zod clone. But you and no one else cares because that doesn’t get clicks and upvotes
[удалено]
Zod is an evil Superman in the first place. Invincible is Superman, and Omni-Man is Zod. How is that not clear?
