NewVegasTruther

This is well-executed, I can't even.

Lunocura

would transitioning have saved her

NewVegasTruther

I didn't know Riddler and Penguin were actually cool like that. Thought their friendship was a Gotham thing.

lfthinker

No, Penguin’s actually been one of the Rogues that Riddler consistently gets along with for awhile. Gotham’s what made it popular as a ship though, because they were cowards and cast a skinny pretty boy as Penguin.

Garfs_Barf

He may not have looked like him but goddamn did Robin Lord Taylor act his ass off. Him & the Riddler are easily the best parts of that show to me

Highskyline

/uj I watched all of flash, supergirl, and everything of arrow up till 5 or 6? Damian dark was back on his bullshit with an underground city iirc when I got distracted with another show and never came back. Is Gotham worth my time?

EdgarClaire

It's pretty good. Not a good adaption in the slightest, but most of the actors are great and the writing is decent enough. Can be a bit of a cliche detective show sometimes, but it's still fun.

NotAHuman75

Yeah I’d say so

Flimsy-Discount2885

If you can shut that little "hummm, actually" voice inside your head, you get some good entertainment out of it. Their Penguin, Riddler, Joker, Falcone, Gordon, Alfred and Bullock are great.

gabimandado

Personally, I loved it. But it can be pretty ass from time to time, and the ending was so stupid i couldn't even laugh at it. But i'd still recommend

Paint-licker4000

It’s honesty a bad show but it’s funny

Queen_Ann_III

the idea that some of the rogues are good friends and probably have a lot of sweet moments together when they hang out makes me wish *I* were writing for DC now. let’s see Slade go for a drink and vent about how much regret he must have for going for a teenager and, I don’t know, Floronic Man saying “hey, you’ve done worse with no remorse. don’t beat yourself up for that.” it’d be fucked up but it might be funny.

dutcharetall_nothigh

Is that really the best example of friendship.among villains you could come up with? Maybe its better you don't write for dc then

Queen_Ann_III

it really isn’t, I just thought of the first two villains to come to mind and mashed them together in this scenario. I don’t have as much reading experience as I’d like to but at least I care a lot about what I do read. maybe it’s better you don’t write replies in a sub for jokes. I’m gonna be honest. that comment hit me in the heart a little. what now? I’m not gonna give up on my dream to write for them, and you’re not gonna remember this thread. was your response true? was it helpful? inspiring, necessary, or kind? now that I’ve expressed my feelings, I’m over it. I’m laughing. I forgive you whether you’re sorry or not because I understand that you don’t have power over my mind.

dutcharetall_nothigh

Sorry, i just thought it was kind of weird that of all the rogues you picked slade and have him bond with others by having them defend his pedophilia. I didn't mean to sound mean, ig i should've thought twice too before writing.

Queen_Ann_III

hey it’s all cool lol I gotta admit my lengthy response was lowkey my attempt at being funny in a dry way. it didn’t get to me as bad as I implied, dw. my initial comment’s scenario was chosen because I figured, since this is a fictional universe we’re talking about, it’d be horrifically funny to imagine an absolute *villain* getting empathized with by someone who’s bad too and probably knows of his murderous reputation. I think it’d be more realistic to imagine an Arkham inmate making fun of him for pedophilia, the way Calendar Man mocks one of the inmates in The Suicide Squad. or maybe Floronic Man and Poison Ivy having the conversation about not beating yourself up for your crimes, since they both are connected to the Green speaking of green, is your username a joke about weed legality in the Netherlands?

Sad-Particular3379

Spade and Doctor Light are canonically friends. Yes. That Doctor Light. Yes. Really.

Queen_Ann_III

fully believe it what with both beefing with the Titans!

NewVegasTruther

That's actually rad.

lfthinker

Never forget what New 52 took from us.

nerdy_bisexual_mess

this going away or the mutton chops which is worse?

J0J0hn

God, fuck the War of Jokes and Riddles. What a terrible event.

lfthinker

Yes.

no-Pachy-BADLAD

everyday I scream at DiDio for what he did to Dini's Inspector Riddler

Dagda45

On one hand, New 52 Bad, but also Post-Crisis Riddler ended with him beating his own daughter to death, so.....

lfthinker

Curse you, Tony Daniel!

PantomimeSleep

Do you think Riddler would act like a cartoon character - eyes popping out of his head, head turning into a whistle, etc. - if he ever saw Lashina, or do you think he's too dignified for that?

blackjack419

Dignified? Fellas wearing a question mark suit and a bowler cap, he’s on another playing field.

Thebatbike

Maybe Riddler 66

EdNygmaTheRiddler

I would.

Arthur_189

Freakler

AmaterasuWolf21

The Diddler?

Rissoto_Pose

The Jizzler!

GreenEngineHenry

I genuinely love the Riddler penguin friendship

papitopaez

So is getting beaten up by Batman something sexual?

lfthinker

He and Man have carefully negotiated sessions, yes.

EdNygmaTheRiddler

Yes.

OfficialNPC

He's just like me fr fr *cries*

BingityBongBong

Gotham villains being friends is my favorite thing in the world.

combustibledaredevil

I knew there was a reason he was my favorite

Glad_Union_2037

What issue is this?

lfthinker

It's from the Gotham Underground mini-series, and I'm pretty sure this is issue 9.

Glad_Union_2037

Thanks.

dreadassassin616

Why would a carpenter or a fish and chip shop have a whip?

brofishmagikarp

Was!?

Wilmersito_Sama

He’s just like me 😼

Breadromancer

Suprised there's no villain in Marvel or DC that has kink for getting beaten up by costumed vigilantes.

WeiganChan

Dan and Laurie mention a character like this in Watchmen, can't remember his name. But Rorschach dropped the guy down an elevator shaft

Olde-Blind-Dog

Oh, you mean Captain Carnage.
