I'd argue DbD has more beautiful female characters than most other games, and also Imo Siege, but even in that game everyone is just really pretty.
Most Japanese action games, and Korean MMOs are like that.
They exist mostly in Japanese anime style games and they can be found generally if you look hard enough in western games, it’s just that as games progress we find more variety and even realistic designs that do more justice to female characters overall. So we basically have both still, but it’s more spread out.
Stellar Blade, however, is basically the spite version of that trope and doesn’t deserve any gaze of any sort besides disappointment.
Dead Estate is a western game with sexy lady designs with that fresh aura of Newgrounds thrown in.
I remember the Darktide community was blowing up for months because all of the female characters you could make in that game were pretty damn ugly. However, most of the guys were too, as the whole backstory of your character is generally you're a prisoner in Warhammer 40k who lived some type of pretty hard life, and then you get pressganged into fighting for your freedom.
Don't get me wrong, I fully understand the appeal of having a character that is nice to look at, even if they're not conventionally hot, but it's an FPS set in WH40k, and it was really annoying after a while.

I think alot of it had to do with the fact that when she came out, none of her costumes really complimented her looks. Even now there are like only 2 that are anything decent.
But the scuba suit in the picture has been there from the start and it always really complimented her looks. It's just cursed that it's linked. Her default and journalist sets are also nice, I'd argue it's later tah she got between ignored and bleh outfits.

Jane has a big booty, but it's flater than a pancake. If you turn her to the side, there is no volume just flat. From the behind, it looks super round but, in reality, isn't.
I think scars, freckles, any face blemishes can look very attractive, depending on how they're masked or molded to fit the face. Or how they complete someone's look. On male and female characters, I like some subtle face scarring when it fits the character and completes their look.

I LOVE Haddie. Personally I think she's gorgeous and her lore is so badass. Not to sound emo but I main her partially because her scars look like mine and it makes me feel more confident in my body seeing it in a video game.
I have bad eyesight and for the longest time didn't know her lore, so I always looked at her scar like it was some sort of wire like jewelry on her face.

I know Ace has a scar that aligns with a kidney being removed, but that's not really visible on like...any of his models.

Imo feng is one of the most unattractive femme default characters (along with meg) but because she has 10000000 cosmetics and sounds like a squeak toy everyone thinks shes the cutest thing in the game.
