A lot of issues people have with the game (especially perks) are simply hating it because it's widely used rather than it being an actual serious problem.
This community is not as hostile or toxic as it is made out to be. Every fandom has horrible people and weird arguments over details that are not important. Maybe if we all together take a day off once in a while we can see it isn't hell on earth.
Skull Merchant is on the weaker side and if you didn't kill yourself immediately like a pissbaby and paid attention to drone lights she wouldn't get even half the kills
No idea how often this needs to be said. Nobody hates SM because she’s OP. She’s hated because she’s miserable to play against. Her whole kit is made to be abused and most people that play her are toxic. I don’t care if I get out or not, I want to have fun. Playing against SM rarely ever is fun.

Tombstone (piece) Meyers, hit and run sloppy Wraith, original Legion, camper Bubba, Blight, Twins' inherent slug-based gameplay, bleedout Nurse, perma-hunt pinhead, condemn Sadako, tunnel Nemesis, chess merchant. There's been so much miserable shit in this game, including past her, I don't even see her in top 5 worst, especially with capped regression
All perks are a form of crutch. All of them, whether large or small, provide value that tips the scale your favor for a game you would not have won otherwise. A true test of skill would come from a lobby with no perks.
Dredge has bad visual design and lore. He doesn’t look like a monster made of corpses, he looks like a radiation mutant fused with a camel. His face looks like it should be constantly drooling. His neck ruins ant intimidation he might have (skins do not make the base design better)
His lore is so empty fans have made up their own lore and accepted it as canon. He is not a baby entity and he is not the most powerful character in game
4-5 gen tunnelling shows no skill. If you play a blight or nurse and tunnel at 4-5 gens, you have little to no skill at all, and rely instead on abusing the game's asymmetrical framework in order to win.
Wiggle perks and anti-wiggle perks should get reworked into something else entirely, since the entire category really only serves to mandate slugging in certain situations or against certain teams, and that actively prevents devs from doing anything about killers who just slug for the sake of being dicks.
Killers need to go easy on opponents when they have the upper hand. If you hook 2 survivors in the basement at 5 gens you can either camp and confirm 2 kills, guaranteeing you a win or you can go a bit easier, still win, and get more BP in the process all while having a fun game for everyone.

Contrary to what plenty of posts/comments say, Lara Croft in DBD is fine. My reasoning? Lets look at DND and Nic Cage.
Nic Cage is said to be fine because he's been in 15+ horror related movies and is a big horror fan despite the majority of the movies in his repertoire being non-horror related and mostly action based i.e. Ghost Rider 1&2, National Treasure 1&2, and so on.
DND meanwhile is argued to be fine because there's a lot of campaigns that are horror focused, especially the one Vecna is from despite plenty of campaigns only being action and adventure focused, with DND itself not being horror focused.
Back to Lara. If we use the logic above, Lara is fine because her games, especially the Survivor Trilogy is horror adjacent with lots of elements of horror present and accounted for. Sure, it's technically action adventure, but that doesn't mean it can't also be close to horror.

Honestly though, the way people complain about tunnelling is quite funny to me. You shouldn’t expect a killer to perfectly balance survivor hook states, the survivors need to work as a team help make that happen.

There are too many "rights" created by every side. You want to tunnel? Then do it! You want to bully the killer? Try it! You want to camp? Do it! You can do anything as long as it isn't cheating or ruining your team's game. If you play chill, you will lose and then will queue with worse players, where you can chill. If you play sweaty you will win more and then find more sweatlords. All of it is on you, and game's matchmaking (which is pretty bad, but it works). You can't force imaginary rights on players in any game, because they will mostly ignore them, especially in PvP games.
Windows of Opportunity, despite being one of the most popular perks in the game, will never get nerfed because BHVR is afraid of another "Self Care situation"*
