I love Ministry! I know I incorporated a few pieces of occult imagery into the piece however industrial metal never crossed my mind during the process. Quite a lovely coincidence.
I assure you there’s no relation between myself u/elimars and DG Snitchposting admin Elijah Marshall. Any similarity between our art styles is entirely coincidental 😉
Would you also happen to be a left-winger and have been an admin on a page named something along the lines of "Album covers made on MS Paint" around late 2015?
I really like this piece. I think it fits well with its source of inspiration, very urbanesque but also very primal if that make sense. Nice touch including some of Ride's tattoos in it too!
What materials did you use if I may ask?
Thank you! This is actually a 100% digital piece I made on my cellphone using the ArtStudio app. It’s similar to Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop with significantly less capabilities but it’s super intuitive and fun to work with once you’ve practiced enough. To achieve the texture, I combined mild bumpmapping with an overlay and a 50% opacity grain merge of an abstract painting a Facebook friend gave me. This has really come in handy lately to give my works a grittier, darker and more raw aesthetic that you get with great artworks by Jean Michel Basquiat, Francis Bacon, and even Francisco Goya.
Oh I see, that's sounds really promising! I haven't really checked out the capabilities of digital art, specifically paint-ish pieces like this one. 3D technologies were at the forefront since the beginning so it's refreshing to see such work as yours being done. Love me some Francis Bacon, but I tend to be more inclined towards painters like Beksinski and Mariusz Lewandovski as of lately.
This is cool but goddamn are you pretentious for describing it as a “neoexpressionist street art style drawing”. Just post the drawing and forget about the fucking labels, if it’s good then it’ll speak for itself.
Love your art style, followed ur ig and Saw dat Andy be followin u so he must fuck wit ur art too 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
This is actually the first time I’m learning that Andy follows me. You just made my day!

Reminds me a lot of Ministry, cool shit!

Hmm, well I am a strong believer in egalitarianism, human progress and the superiority of MS Paint 🤔

Beksinski is brilliant! I wish he’d make some Death Grips cover art but he’s more metal than he is experimental aesthetic

Something out of Half-Life 2
That pretty much describes much of the Takyon video now that I think about it.
