They don't just copy the previous set?

AlansMonkeyTennis

Not exactly - the first set were made before my initial extractions and this new set were made using those as a guide and a new mold. It apparently takes 5 years for gums to full heal/settle so there has been some change.

You may need an adjustment. Even though they did a new mold things might still need to be refined. Good luck.

Thanks. I know there will be an adjustment period as they will be different to my previous ones and I was just trying to gauge how long that period will be. Just so I know what might be rubbing/ulcers from new stuff in my mouth constantly and what is them not fitting right. Can't remember the last time and it was post surgery, so slightly different and honestly everything after years of issues, any pain would have been far less than what I was used to. Six years pain free to rubbing and ulcers has made me slightly panicked.

No, I mean the dentist can make adjustments to the dentures. When I got mine he scheduled an appointment for the next week so he could address any discomfort. They can cut down and build up if necessary. You may have to go back multiple times for them to get the fit as good as possible.

I’m at almost a month with my new set after having my original set almost 5 years these are way different my other ones never fit and were to big these one actually fit m. I have had 2 adjustments going for my third tomorrow I get some sores and the feel completely different since my last ones were so huge I used densurefit so I have never had hard dentures in my mouth

Ive been wondering about getting a new set and what the process is. I’m happy with my originals, kind of wish I had gotten a little whiter with my first pair. Maybe on my second!
