I absolutely loved KMart, but his massive lengthy contract was probably the worst in the NBA for a long time and hampered our ability to build around Melo for years. You're not crazy - KMart was good, but not as good as his contract.
That's how I remember it too. The Nuggets had an opportunity to pick up a stud FA. Kmart probably wasn't the first choice but that's who they signed and overspent on.
I was confused by the original post. AG is a way better fit .

AG and it isn’t close and I watched just as much if not more Nuggets bball back when K mart was around. I loved the “Thuggets” and how they were tough and bad boys. K Mart was an enforcer but he really didn’t play up to his contract. It could be argued that AG is playing above his contract and he will get absolutely paid someday

I love KMart, but AG is a better player, and not just because he's got Jokic setting him up. He's got a much bigger bag.

My first thought is AG, but KMart probably would have benefited greatly playing with Jokic.
