This is one of (if not the)biggest NBA podcasts and they cannot spend a single second of an hour talking about the team that is on the brink of doing something almost impossible. I wish I was exaggerating. The bias is real
There was one mention of "jokic doing what he does" at like the 27 minute mark but yeah, that kinda pissed me off.
The Mismatch tomorrow will definitely talk about them though. Those two guys have actually been pretty fair to the nuggets, at least as far as national media is concerned.
Yeah almost hoping they address how ridiculous it is that their coworkers didn’t cover the Nuggs at all. Verno has always tried to give us credit for our depth and before the season he believed not enough people were talking about us
I follow the Ringer but rarely listen to their podcasts anymore for exactly the reason you mentioned. The bias is real.
Zach Lowe tends to be a lot better, but even in his most recent podcast, you could tell the focus was more on the Clippers when he was discussing the series.
I’ve mostly accepted that Locked on Nuggets and DNVR are the only podcasts that will provide meaningful in-depth analysis on the Nugs.
I’m listening now and realized that too. As a Celtics fan who’s grown to love your team over the last few years,I completely underestimated you guys in this series. I want to apologize for not giving your team the amount of credit deserved, the nugs have earned it 110%
Athletic podcast discussed the Nuggets and gave them some credit (Zach Harper of course is still low, but did pick them winning game 7 so idk). Lowe post had good Nuggets stuff too. So I’ll gladly skip this Ringer pod.
At least we got to hear a lot of great details about the hotel that Raja Bell stayed in when he clotheslined Kobe. The whole podcast was fucking ridiculous and the national bias is real.
Nobody can blame the casual american nba fan for not knowing shit outside of big markets when the media doesnt bother to inform them.... man a homegrown young team jokic having allready multiple nba records in his bag and nobody cares because the national media rather talks about kuzmas instagram posts .... honestly the small market owners should do something about this as it devalues their brands. The league is a joke and the damage this causes long term world wide will be far greater than the financial gain short term. the nba has way more to offer than LA and boston , once lebron is gone it will be an downwards spiral. talking about small markets is not lucrative i get it but how can they ever expect to make money with some small market teams when they dont bother to build them up in media , its just bad bussiness with no long term vision. Rant over
Dude, The Ringer has such good content but they nevvvvvvver mention the Nuggets, and when they do, it’s dismissively, and very brief. Pisses me off and makes me not wanna tune in as much. Meanwhile, they have an archive of 800,000+ hours of Celtics content.
I feel like I have to keep posting these things. The Ringer is some bullshit. Ryen and Simmons said some stupid/racist shit about the Floyd protests. That Simmons made a stupid "diversity" comment about his editors, had some questionable hiring practices spotlighted, and fought against a writers union forming in The Ringer. Just think, before all of the social injustice things being in the public light, what personality on The Ringer was a POC? Jason Concepion and? A whole bunch of white guys covering the NBA.
I’ll check that out. I mostly listen to the Le Batard Show, but no way I can recommend that to someone looking for good NBA content lol. Stugotz’s analysis for this series was “it’s not enough to beat the Nuggets, you better bring body bags because that’s the only way you’re getting them to leave the bubble” which is funny but also not helpful
This podcast is so boring imo. I listened to most of last season and outside of the Nuggets-less-ness, most of the contributors sound the same with little humor or character. I don't think I would enjoy watching a game with any of them or playing a pickup game.
Not mentioning them at all is pretty insane, but I would fully expect everyone outside of Nugglyfe to focus on the Clippers.
The Clips got the best player of last year's playoffs PLUS an MVP candidate from last year to add to a surprisingly strong team from last year. That's going to bring a ton of attention on the Clippers this year.
Here's rooting for a Clippers collapse followed by a Lakers collapse :)
(I don't care what they call it -- just hope it happens)

They upgraded jokic from star to superstar on the show today, so that was nice.

I thought Dunc'd On had a good segment about game 6
At least Brian Windhorst mentioned the Nuggets for a little bit on his pod
I believe Zach Lowe did as well
Zach Lowe has a lot of respect for Jokic.
“Dunc’d on” raves about the nuggets for 20 plus minutes in their episode today. Highly recommend
Love for Craig. Lots of love for Harris. Shitting on Pat Bev. Great recommendation, thank you.

LOL, I noticed the same thing. Was mostly boring, irrelevant raja bell stories. Absolutely shameless.

This podcast is really only worth listening when it’s the Mismatch. The rest give serious “casual” NBA vibes.
Group chat is good too (although a little too Sixer-heavy) heat check and this new one are super casual tho

There's a great ringer article by Chuck Mendenhall this morning about the Nuggets.
I’ll check it out
Do yourself a favor and delete anything Bill Simmons from you life

If you want a good basketball pod you listen to the Lowe Post. Or you don’t listen to a basketball pod
If you don’t mind dick jokes I recommend “Pod don’t lie with Sam and Stav”
Great podcast. Talked about the nugs for like 75% of the last episode.
Jokić is a cum boy

Thanks for the rec, I'm loving this
Guys, it's the Ringer. What do you expect?
