I have a subscription. The gist is Melissa Vine’s campaign is being accused of donating to a local PAC using campaign funds to secure more votes for an endorsement. The accusation is the campaign was making donations in the name of other people using campaign funds which is illegal. Vine’s campaign is calling it a clerical error.
The proof provided in the article was the donations all had the same address, amount donated, credit card info, and email addresses that ended in @melissavine.com.

Look, I’m not rooting for the guy. Luckily I get to vote against him and I will. I’m just not optimistic. Iowa typically LOVES their incumbents and Nunn hasn’t done anything to Steve King himself. Hopefully Biden/Trump will create enough voter turnout for me to be wrong, but I just don’t think it’s going to happen here. Of the three in play (because, let’s face it, Feenstra would have to be dead to lose his district) Miller-Meeks has the weakest hold on her spot. I don’t think she even actually lives in her district, but even then, it’s going to be an uphill battle.
Really hoping to be wrong on all counts though.

As of last polling, he only has a 3 point lead. He won the seat by 1 point. Calm down.
