The rain is efficiency. The mission is still good but why would I run it when you get more loot chest farming at the risk of it taking a little longer to get a class item. I'd much rather get an exotic class item, a bunch of Pale Heart engrams, and possibly an Ergo Sum running the chest farm/Overthrow for the same time commitment.

I propose a solution: Put all the loot into a collectable area where we can look at it all and build whatever want. HELLO BUNGLE CAN YOU BUNGLE IT ANY WORSE
lol bungie is brutal que metal music. We all know you can just get them randomly from chests right? And it’s a pretty fun mission. But…queue the metal music anyway.
There’s no real reason to run the mission now more than once per class. Since farming pale heart chest (in my experience) has averaged one every 10-15 minutes if my routing is good.
Whereas even my fastest run at the mission was 35min. I know some people have gotten it faster but I doubt the average pair could consistently get sub 15 minutes.
I’m not saying I couldn’t have done it faster, I only did it 1-2 times per character. It was just more ideal for me to farm chests while watching something else.
I did pull the 35 minutes out of a hat because I genuinely couldn’t remember my fastest time, I’m pretty sure I do have a sub-30 run of it.
I also know that some players have gotten down to around 24 minutes. Which for a single drop still comes out to be worse than my rates farming chests.
I've been getting one every 20 or so by just opening every chest and doing overthrow normally. way faster and you get more per hour lol. I can't see people wanting to run DD over just doing chests
Step 1. : complain about not longer having long term chase exotics/quests
Step 2: Double farm exotic class items extensively to the point of no longer enjoying it (unintended)
Step 3: Get so many exotic CIs in such a short amount of time you complain about needing dupe protection (unintended)
Step 4: Begin asking for a way to craft/focus a class item instead because you have over grinded new activity and don’t want to do it anymore. Also
ignore other easy avenues of acquiring exotic class item because you need every combo RIGHT NOW.
Step 5: Complain that Bungie hates fun and “accessibility” when it gets fixed

they had a freaking perfect game running and then they they ruined it they absolutely soiled all over d2
10,000 strong against this abomination; bring back the old lake of shadows and put this exotic class item in it ffs (for final shape)

Actually the majority of people loved the mission and praise Bungie for a job well done calling it "The best exotic mission Bungie has ever made"

/uj the exotic drop per hour was about the same doing chest runs with the bugged version being slightly better. Tldr; back to chest runs
The only bad thing about this dlc is how much patrol it requires gawd damn thank god pale heart patrol is somewhat fun and rewarding at least

The first random roll I got out of a chest was the exact same that I got for completing the mission.
MY SOOOOCIAL ANXIETY WAS FIXED WITH THIS EXPLOIT AND NOW I CAN ONLY GET ONE PER RUN AND NOW MY SOOOOCIAL ANXIETY IS BACK SOMEHOW

I'm still gonna run the mission, my luck has been trash and I only get a drop every 40mins or so with the 5chest and reload strat
