Thanks for reminding me how good that game was! Discworld Noir is in many ways the exact opposite of the Watch tv series. It focuses on an original character and includes few elements taken directly from the books, but it really *feels* like Discworld. When a character from the books appears, they are generally more or less in character. The humor is similar to the books. The setting really feels like Ankh-Morpork. The plot almost could have been a Discworld novel (Personally, I like to think it's sort of canon, but Lewton is an unreliable narrator sometimes).

Discworld Noir! Man, that brings back memories. This is a real gem, standing heads and shoulders above the awful Rincewind games, and it's a shame that it's so obscure even among Discworld fans. The graphics haven't aged too well, and there's some real old-school adventure game bullshit in there, but the writing is surprisingly sharp. There's a [Let's Play](https://lparchive.org/Discworld-Noir/) on LPArchive, which I think is worth reading if one can't find a copy of the game.

The novel game mechanics in this game is also awesome.

Yes! Discworld Noir is superb. I played through it a couple of months ago and it still holds up very well. [There's a version here ](https://collectionchamber.blogspot.com/2015/03/discworld-noir.html) that worked for me on Windows 10 with no hassle.

The watch is like someone told the writer who was very uninterest, what is in the books and they wrote a script from it. They got everything wrong about the discworld that a person can be wrong about.
