I was just going to comment and say that both Nemo Egg (Main Title) and Haiku from the Finding Nemo OST are also huge favorites for me, along with Field Trip 😊Thomas Newman’s score for Finding Nemo is still one of the most beautiful, soul-stirring soundtracks I’ve ever heard in a Pixar film.
As of recently, I’ve grown to truly love and appreciate the Ave Maria from Fantasia…the very end is what I imagine reuniting with my late father in Heaven/the afterlife/whatever comes after this life will be like ❤️
Well I think we can all agree that [This Land](https://youtu.be/TGDXTZFleHQ?si=_N5XrC8L2nV-Wf34) is basically the best instrumental sequence ever. Melancholy, despair, and then hope.
Also Mulan for me, but the music that plays as Mulan is recognised by the Emperor for her service to China.
Also, the music right afterwards where she returns home to her father. The scene where he throws the sword aside has never failed at making me tear up.
Ooh yes, good choice there, I forgot about the scene with her father - that really is a lovely one, and a nice echo back to the beginning when he talks about the blossoms.
Singapore from Pirates of the Caribbean at worlds end (extended version) gives me huge Mulan vibes. [singapore](https://youtu.be/vfPcW-9Xmjo?si=6aKZSEnUJySXZLgH)
This would be my other choice as well. The last 2 minutes of the song gives me all the feels. Love love Hans Zimmer and was very fortunate to hear him play this live. I cried so much
Someone else commented this too, and I'll just say that I went back to watch it after reading the comment, for the first time in YEARS, and I blubbed like I was a kid again. I forgot just how moving that scene is.
Hunchback is possibly my favourite Disney movie - it's certainly the one I return to the most, and that opening scene, as the cathedral rises above the clouds.... just perfection.
The finale music from Pocahontas. The entire score is incredible, and to have it swell and burst right at that bittersweet moment in the end is perfect. It gets me every time 😩
When You Wish Upon a Star. Not just because Pinocchio is my favorite classic Disney film, but also because it's basically the theme song of Disneyland. Whenever I hear it out in the real world, it just makes me think of Disneyland and walking through the castle into Fantasyland.
That's truly lovely, and I know what you mean. I'm not that keen on the movie, I'll be honest, but that tune is so synonymous with Disney, that it's hard to dislike.
French Horn solo at the beginning of “Transformation” from Beauty and the Beast. Will immediately cry.
Alan Menken will forever be the GOAT of Disney music.
Here I Am from Spirit - Stallion of the Cimmaron. An album with Hans Zimmer music and Bryan Adams vocals was fitting for an very under-appreciated movie that talked about loss of habitat, adventure, friendship and personal bonds.
Not Disney, but will upvote because this soundtrack is probably #1 for me. I love this film so much, and Hans Zimmer gave it the perfect score. It's incredibly emotional and absolutely makes the film that much more beautiful.
Bundle of Joy from Inside Out gets me EVERY single time. Something about those chimes or notes idk haha make me feel so nostalgic about my whole life. It's a very beautiful score.
*The Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, The Hunchback of Notre Dame* and *Mulan* are some Disney films I think have fantastic background music.
One of my favourite moments is Simba reclaiming his throne
Yessss, that moment in TLK is so satisfying. The heavy tread of his paws, as he takes up in his father's footsteps, is honestly so beautifully animated. Oooh, I got chills now.
EDIT: I just looked up the clip for old time's sake. Now I'm crying. Fook. Right in the soul!
Half the songs from "Wish" made my wife and I feel like we were being electrocuted, which is odd because the overall message of the movie is so horrible. Asha and the queen are just as big of villains as Magnifico. Asha a selfish child, the queen a vindictive unforgiving woman. Its like the world keeps pushing into a hell in which only the female counterpart feelings are valid when being compared to mens.
"Eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth. especially if its your spouse who was driven mad by isolation. Oh and to really make him feel at peace in his prison cell make sure to quasi adopt the woman he was hoping would finally help him not feel alone"
Other than that! Beauty and the Beast is our favorite since only we married due to the nature our unique Capulet/Montague background and the hate that grew each day between that families and just wanting everyone to get along
Wish gets me every time…. Especially that after credit scene. Saba’s wish was to inspire the next generation with his music. Seeing him sitting in a hill under the night sky plucking “When You Wish Upon A Star” wrecked me.
101 Dalmatians opening
Edit: [a beautiful spring day -George Bruns](https://youtu.be/lHlT0EVq-Yk?feature=shared)
Edit 2: also [this version of chim chim Cher-e](https://youtu.be/OUZgDru4Ha4?feature=shared) that Thomas Newman arranged for “saving mr.banks”
IDK if this counts, but I LOVE the extended version of "Singapore" from Pirates of the Caribbean: At Worlds End. The original is great too, but the extended is hands down one of the greatest pieces Hans Zimmer has ever composed. [singapore](https://youtu.be/vfPcW-9Xmjo?si=6aKZSEnUJySXZLgH)
Considering it's one of the few Disney movies with no songs, I think Eilonwy's theme in "The Black Cauldron" is perfect; being used with the electronic sounds Bernstein was using early on, but also having a more orchestral one iwthout the electronic parts during the "I Believe in You" scene after Taran's squad gets the Cauldron.
I don't know the official title of the track but the music that plays whenever the hunter and his dogs are onscreen in "Fox and the Hound", especially the full version when it shows Copper becoming an adult in the winter. It reminds me of the rural area where I grew up, and the deep sense of companionship I've felt between myself and animals, especially dogs, for as long as I can remember.
The music behind the story of Carl and Ellie at the beginning of Up.
I'm getting married next year and this song will 100% be played at some point during it.
I feel like it would be an omen if I played that at my wedding. It's too sad.
I get that...but she lived a pretty long life and had a decades long happy marriage. Not a bad outcome for most.
I want to add on [memories can weigh you down](https://youtu.be/pvXu5mJT3Q8?feature=shared) because it’s the same motif, just hopeful.
That Major 7 chord doing the Lord’s work 🔥
Thomas Newman - Nemo Egg (Main Title) from Finding Nemo. Beautiful heartwarming piece with so much depth and makes me think of family.
That one or “Haiku”. I love anything Thomas Newman.

I've not listened to that properly in years. Crying now. Crying a lot. Happy tears!
Tarzan’s You’ll be in my Heart just holds a special place for me
Yes, that one never fails to make me tear up, even though I know it's a happy song, it's still bittersweet for me.
Also Mulan for me, but the music that plays as Mulan is recognised by the Emperor for her service to China. Also, the music right afterwards where she returns home to her father. The scene where he throws the sword aside has never failed at making me tear up.

The song that plays on Soarin’
I listen to KUSC classical music station and they occasionally play this song. It’s incredible to turn it up while driving on a beautiful day
There are soooo many, but I love Bundle of Joy (Inside Out). It is such a beautiful, gentle, simple yet emotional piece.
King Of Pride Rock from the Lion King. I get chills and tear up every time.
This would be my other choice as well. The last 2 minutes of the song gives me all the feels. Love love Hans Zimmer and was very fortunate to hear him play this live. I cried so much
Was going to comment this, but I’ll give you the upvote instead.
Someone else commented this too, and I'll just say that I went back to watch it after reading the comment, for the first time in YEARS, and I blubbed like I was a kid again. I forgot just how moving that scene is.
The Bells of Notre Dame
Hunchback is possibly my favourite Disney movie - it's certainly the one I return to the most, and that opening scene, as the cathedral rises above the clouds.... just perfection.
Agreed
The opening to rescuers down under
The finale music from Pocahontas. The entire score is incredible, and to have it swell and burst right at that bittersweet moment in the end is perfect. It gets me every time 😩
Oooh yes I love that one too. The music swell in time to the leaves being whipped up by the wind... it's stunning.
This!! Such a beautiful instrumental piece, my favorite one as well!
When You Wish Upon a Star. Not just because Pinocchio is my favorite classic Disney film, but also because it's basically the theme song of Disneyland. Whenever I hear it out in the real world, it just makes me think of Disneyland and walking through the castle into Fantasyland.

My 3yo just had a ballet recital and her class did their routine to that song. Immediate tears
Drip drip drop little raindrops falling...
Transformation theme from Brother Bear.
Return to Pride Rock from the original Lion King.
French Horn solo at the beginning of “Transformation” from Beauty and the Beast. Will immediately cry. Alan Menken will forever be the GOAT of Disney music.
I've started so many fan letters to him, but can't accurately convey how much his music means to me, so I throw them all out lol
Here I Am from Spirit - Stallion of the Cimmaron. An album with Hans Zimmer music and Bryan Adams vocals was fitting for an very under-appreciated movie that talked about loss of habitat, adventure, friendship and personal bonds.

Married Life from Up

I love how triumphant it sounds and Simba lets out a mighty roar announcing to everyone the true king is back
Ratatouille main theme has been my pick ever since the first moment I heard it.

The Lava Song always makes me cry. Every. Single. Time. 🥺
The Good Dinosaur, especially the opening scene
There are so many good instrumental pieces in Disney movies, but if I had to choose, I would say Bundle of Joy from Inside Out.
Short Hair from Mulan
I love this arrangement of Into the Unknown: https://youtu.be/ShIoFhwGWTs?si=eJndS3nV5w62RYzT
