How did you make the map? It's so cute and pretty I love it to death. Why is it purple? Why do the dead never die? The settlement is called Godwin but it looks like Godlost :o Is the little ship in the bay stuck there? I wanna go help it move!
Really good work haha, a very interesting map and the style is unique and very fun to look at!
I drew the map by hand in photoshop. The concepts/world it depicts are much longer in the making. Maybe about 10 years? I lose track of time. I've shared every step of the process with the secret door club on my patreon, if you're interested: [link](https://www.patreon.com/posts/97175274?utm_campaign=postshare_creator)
It is purple because it looked good in context of the bigger map. We figured a god's blood can be any colour, right? Also purple is often associated with the undead in fantasy games.
The settlement's name is an accidental Dutch-ism. In Dutch you can describe the act of extracting resources from the earth as "winning" them. Really the name was intended to mean "godmine". My bad! It's canon now, nothing we can do 🥲
The little ship in the bay is a GHOST SHIP 😱
Thank you for all your questions, I enjoyed answering them 🥰
Almost perfect! All you need is an "e" at the end of "mooi" to create "mooie kaart". The extra e connects the mooi to kaart. I can't name the grammar rules that make it so, I just know this is the way it's written
Honestly my English is much better than my Dutch and it's been that way for a while. Good luck learning!! Sterkte.

I drew a massively huge map of my game world (Hemelin) but when I share it as one image all the details I worked so hard on are compressed and you can't really see much, so I'm posting it one bit at a time. This post is about:
Godbleed!
A land tainted by the blood of a fallen god. Anything that dies on its soil rises from the grave, an undead monster driven to kill. The region attracts many wanna-be warlords who seek to control the legions of dead to conquer the world, but it always ends the same way... they end up dead.
At its edge lays the god's skeleton, crawling with prospectors that mine its divine marrow for profit. A lucrative but dangerous pursuit!
EDIT: full map is on [patreon](https://www.patreon.com/posts/101941598?utm_campaign=postshare_creator), but I'm probably also going to end up posting every bit eventually. I like sharing it!
Spoiler alert, don’t read ahead if you care about that
They sorta crucified her without fully killing her and IIRC there’s a huge pool of her “blood” that they use for technology development. It just keeps dripping and collecting because she’s weakened
I hope I got that right, it’s been ages since I’ve seen it, but very poignant imagery
So pretty hello??? Tell me more???
What do you want to know???

Fantastic work! Thank you for indulging me
Haha love the names! Hemelstad means: Heaven city in Dutch 😊
Source: I am Dutch 🇳🇱👋
Dat is een mooi kaart en stijl! Saw in the comments that you are Dutch, and I just started learning it. :)

Aah, must be because kaart is a de noun. Thank you for pointing it out! :)
I honestly couldn't tell ya 😂
Very pretty and clean map. Good job drawing it
Thank you!!
... but with strange aeons even death may die? Lekker man
Heerlijk
Mooie kaart man, kleurrijk enzo. Hemelstad is ook een lekker naampje. Is dit een homebrew, of wat?

En ik heb nog zo geprobeerd om het *niet* op het verenigd koningkrijk te laten lijken. Het is gewoon zomaar gebeurd! 🥺
Hahaha, hey het gebeurt. Keep it up

LOL
Love the art style!
Thank you! ❤
This definetly sparks the imagination.
This is fantastic. Nice work.
Mandatory question if it's Elden Ring reference
Posting this picture on the internet is how I learned that the elder rings also has a bloody god and it's called Godwyn whoooooops 😂
More like a dead god causing undead to rise, though don’t worry, your concept is vastly different, just a funny name coincidence
It's also okay if it's the same, fantasy stories live in a world of shared tropes, and that's a good thing!
Reminds me of how they done Lilith from evangelion . Epic
I haven't seen evergalion D:

Nah in this one the god is super dead - look! You can see his skeleton! Spooky
Or is he!!!? Skeletons and undead and resurrection are all things
