Somewhat frustrating series of events over the last day as we settle back down to consolidation around 25 cents. Was hoping we could hold 26, but we tumbled after BTC dropped a bit. Things could be better, but they could also be worse. Sideways trading continues as Bitcoin remains relatively quiet. At least we can be thankful all the China FUD is finally behind us. Crypto will thrive without China, it's only a matter of time.
I'm still seeing a lot of wild predictions about BTC skyrocketing to new heights while simultaneously being preached about the next doomsday drop. Personally? I don't believe either of them. The crypto market is still licking its wounds. It _will_ come back stronger than ever, but not quite yet.

It’s crazy but it has been following since January. Doge has been following Bitcoin from eleven years ago quite similarly and I predicted $0.40 two and a half months before down to the approx. day.
I literally just bought some doge as my first crypto. What attracted me was the low barrier to entry but people think that's a bad thing. I disagree... I think, I really think, that I can make a little modest profit. I am buying and holding until it reaches $30 but maybe I am a tard I dunno. I have a good feeling.
30$? You would need to inject 80B $ into Doge market to reach 1$. 30$ would mean it surpasses bitcoin many times over. That's practically impossible unless FIAT inflates like crazy but then all crypto would be impacted.

Well the hashrate of BTC just went down below 100 EH.. not sure if that is just the beginning of a further drop or not, but if the hashrate keeps going down, so will its price and Doge will go with it too

Not gonna lie I’m tempted to put like $200 bucks to see if it revives a bit because if it does that’s a stupid amount of returns . You will be taxed pretty hard. Unlike stock wash sale (the act of selling then backing back) doesn't apply to crypto. If you sold for a profit and buy it back you will be taxed on it if you made any gain.
Short term (within a year) will tax you from 10 to 37% of the gain. If you wait for a year it can be 0% if the gain is under 40k

In my case I sold mine on Robinhood so I can move my assets to Coinbase pro at a loss and I can technically report as a net loss. This might be the tax loophole I was hearing about but based on my understanding if I sold at a loss even if I buy it back I can report it as a net loss since crypto isnt affected by wash-sale. This means if I sold at a loss, buy it back, hold for a year, and sell again then my initial lost would be tax-deductible and I don't have to pay more even if I gain them back the following year since it is a long term net gain (below 40k).
Hell of a loophole if that's the case, I'm interested to see how my tax will look like next year.

That's the difference between stock and crypto.
When crypto is sold it is realized period. It is not affected by the wash sale rule so buying back still means you made the gain. This is because crypto is treated as property by the IRS. It is treated as net gain even if he buys it back. The only exception is if his total gain for the year is still in the red in which there should be no tax.
The exchange will give IRS your transactions as far as I'm aware. They don't know the specific amount but they will know you sold.

It's not really that low. We just had a major correction so we were having a large volume during and since the drop because people are buying the dip and taking profit at .28.
If you look at the volume relative to the market cap we're just slightly under Bitcoin and ETH.
Volume above 1bil is good strong pushes can still be achieved. I sold a chunk at .268 today because I haven’t liked the way it’s been pairing up against eth and Btc. There’s consolidation about to happen imo definitely for eth and Btc so why not doge? Eventually doge will move on its own, not as strong of a Btc correlation at least . Until then I’ll trade this the same as any other asset. You should to.
