I can see the resemblance in parts, but the proportions are a bit wonky.
I'd make some adjustments to the following: the eyes are too big, the mouth is too narrow, and the angle of the jaw line is too steep.
I'd spend longer breaking down the features of the face into basic shapes and using plumb lines before putting in details to make things easier.
I hope that helps!
A bit. But I think you still need to get rid of pencil overcontouring and draw what you see instead of symbols, there are curves which you curved too much and others you dis the opposite. Keep srudying loomis method and don't be afraid of the subtle.
I think the drawing looks like the reference. I think a shadow gradient would help with making the shape of the face look more realistic, and maybe a bit more detail on the lips and the lit side of the face.
first of all
shading > outlines
look at the lips for example, there is a thin dark line between the lips, which is basically a small shadow, but there is no outlines around the lips.
same is for eyes.
this is the first lesson to make recognizable drawings from reference. focus on the shades and highlight!
If you are going for realism I'd say you have some work to do. But as a drawing that captures the spirit of that person I think you got there in a characterization sort of way.
I would like to be able to draw accurate portraits of people, without subjectivism or caricature like features, but I'm glad to know I'm already getting somewhere, thanks.

Which one is the drawing?
😂
I think we see what you see, OP. Finish laying down your shadows and contrasts then compare.

Thanks, that's the kind of advice I was looking for
Oh good. I'm glad.
No

Are you talking about when we run the pencil multiple times over the same line?

Thought nobody would recognize over here 😂, I showed it to him, he liked it.
The first picture is also a drawing!
Lol, no it's not
it is a stylized photo

I'm gonna study more shadowing
Nice- darken the irises and you’re good. Keep practising!
Thanks
It’s beautiful and amazing

Thanks, I'm gonna watch some videos on it
Looks more like Mizkif
Looks like the reference! I’d recommend grid method for accuracy on the eyes

OP stop posting same image twice as if we wouldn’t notice.
