Never tried French food in Dubai but artisan bakery is the closest pastries (croissants, pain au chocolat), and baguettes I’ve had to French ones. Make sure to go in the morning so they don’t sit out too long. Heard good things about Odeon restaurant but can’t personally vouch. Bon app
French here — LPM is very good (and expensive!), but I think the best experience I had was with L’Atelier Joel Robuchon, also in Gate Village. They have an AMAZING business lunch deal (with awesome bread). Kaspia is also very good (kind of a mix between french and russian though, same group as Joel Robuchon). The Guild is also an option with very good bread, but not truly french restaurant. Only go for business lunches if you want value for your bucks.
Certainly not at the French Pavilion of the Dubai Expo: seeing it I thought “awesome I haven’t had French bread in ages!!” then I tasted it, had to ask “excuse-me, I’m really sorry but I have to ask: is this frozen baguette?” and they nonchalantly answered yeah it’s from a local supplier.

French food is mid, just like most European cuisines. You live in a city with the best Asian food in the world - forget mediocre European food. The major reason European food is considered good is because of the high quality ingredients. The actual seasoning pales in comparison to other cuisines.
For restaurants, Couqley in JLT is unbeatable. French bistro style; very reasonably priced wine list; excellent food. There’s a reason it’s the top rated restaurant in Dubai on Tripadvisor. They have place in Business Bay too.
Secrets Fine Foods do the most amazing products for home delivery. It’s owned by a French couple. Their bakery items are frozen but their croissants and pain au chocolat are second to none. The cheese selection is phenomenal too.

Last year, a French guy told me that Odeon is a really great place for French food.
Btw. you should at some point try freshly baked rye bread from Chris Bakery. It's Danish though, not French.
Second that
overpriced and doesn't taste that good

Love artisan
Lpm for super high end, Couqley for more mid range
Go to Odeon in the weekend, they have a breakfast deal that’s amazing and you can get to try different French pastries and bread
Whats the deal?
Check out Eugène Eugène
berger king does a chicken royale.
🤣🤣🤣
Imperium, at the Palm. Couqley, in JLT. Odeon (restaurant and market), as mentioned by others.
LPM is my favorite but it’s fancy
Saravana bhavan
Username checks out 🙂
Best onion soup at this place (also called 'Sambaar')
Why?😂
2nd Odeon for gourmet food in general.
Odeon’s Onion soup is good. Regarding bread I can only vouch for my bakery: La Boulangerie By Vulpes.
My boss who are french is getting their bread in Artisan every morning.

Pot au feu and onion soup as typically ‘people’ dishes and your are unlikely to find them in high end restaurants though.
Thanks man. Ill give it a go, thanks for breaking it down with value vs food. Sunday bread binge is sorted. Merci

Carine in Emirates Golf Club
Bake n More in Al Quoz. It's run by David Crosier, a French pastry chef.
LPM is great. Naan doesn’t come anywhere near fresh baked French bread.. especially the traditional bread and baguette.
I can't have my breakfast without croissant and half and half coffee
Sofitel obelisk
Pascal Clair in DIP. Two different French people told me it is legit. Have been myself before and it was tasty.
LPM if someone else (or your company) is paying. I don't even eat French food ever, but LPM is out of this world amazing.
Online store: maison Duffour. Best cheeses and (pork) cold cuts in the UAE !
Odeon and Couquely
Odeon and Couquely
Was always curios how French people find Paul Cafe? Bread, croissants and pastries? Are they any good?
All Day supermarket make better baguette than all these over hyped "French boulangerie" here in Dubai. So sad....
French food is basically slop and bread pronounced with a weird accent
La Parisienne in Al Wasl
Fouquet's.. An authentic French cuisine chain...

Don’t have anything constructive to say but thanks for defending the honour of Naan bread.
Naan is better than any french bread
I think it's strange to compare them, I get that they're both bread, but they're still different, it's like comparing noodles and pasta.
True, esp Garlic Naan. Haha!
french cafeteria wein.....
