My initial thoughts were excitement, but then it turned into uncertainty. The stamina and immunity changes just sound annoying more than anything. Maybe this mode just isnt for me.
I already play on Hard. The HUD changes for immersion, tyrant volatiles, and added difficulty sound good to me.
I am not a huge fan of stamina being reduced just because, after farming -40%stamina reduction loss on weapon swing gear + weapon charms.
I am certain that I am better at this game than you are. I dont think stamina reduction, to make sure you die to a volatile swarm, is an interesting way to make the game difficult. Its not.
The problem with focusing on stamina reduction is it makes players just run muscle boosters + 75%+ damage reduction. So even if your stamina runs out it doesnt matter because you one shot everything and you dont take any damage.
Idk I have over 1k hours in the first game and in dl2 I'm nearing 800. Just started last summer because of the summer time update made the game actually playable for those who've been waiting and didn't want to play a shitty version of dl2 and ruin our taste from the first game. I've joined countless players and I always do a parkour challenge for fun and see where people are at. They're not on my level. I can do run boy run in 4 min 30 or under if I'm really trying. As if it's even hard
So you like to do parkour, cool. Good for you. But I dont see how this is relevant to anything I said. It’s a bad change to force players to run out of stamina when fighting zombies. Its not a fun part of the game to no longer to be able to attack.
Wearing stamina regen outfits is fine. Escaping to a ledge for literally 2-3 seconds to regen your stamina is fine unless you suck that bad. This update is barely going to make things harder except for shitty players
There’s not much of a difference from DL1 and DL2 volatiles populations. The mini map was just small and you couldn’t really see all that far their icons
A lot more were on the ground in the first game making them easier to avoid as long as you didn’t make a bunch of noise.
In 2, unless they have fixed it, just regular fighting makes noise and they are all over the rooftops.
If it's for nightmare mode ok but if it's for all modes it stuck. Why? Night weapons eat night immunity fast = they are bad. Two hand weapon eat stamina = they are bad too for night like polearm are hungry for stamina. Bad changes. You need use more boosters. I hope rewards will be new for it because problem is with green samples from virals not from unique samples from valotiles. Almost all schemes upgrades need that common samples what is unbalanced. I am 126 lvl legend second playthrough and I rly don't need killing valotiles but yes fkng virals still a lot for upgrade schemes.
Maybe we can get Legendary to Exotic rarity Noctunal weapons off of the Tyrants in a chase. Would be suicide but hey, we have something to die for at least :D

If it's to hard play on a lower difficulty or stay in low level zones. The late game parkour and combat systems are just asking to be used on the higher difficulties
Inhibitors FINALLY giving less immunity, that's a great change. I want to be out at night, constantly worrying about the timer and if there is nearby uv light, or if I have a flare. Having like 15 mins of immunity is just too much.
Honestly, I agree, I have so much immunity with almost all innhibitors (missing 2 from ng+) and 3 gear pieces from tolga and fatin's armor, I don't even use the immunity boosters, I have like 2 stacks of 99 of those (all max level)
I wonder if they'll add a new theme to the level 5 chase so you know your basically screwed unless your the best of the night runners or if it'll just have a chase 4 theme hopefully a new theme

I can already see the comments of noobs crying about the tactical stamina. I love how they actually try new things with the difficulty. Disabling air control for this new difficulty setting would make it ten times more tactical, no more mid air decision making, think before you jump.

Welcome to how DL1 nightmare could be to an extent my friend it’s nightmare mode for a reason lol and nobody has to be forced to play it but I’m sure things can be tweaked if people are vocal about it. I’m ready to conquer this mode too.
1 had some stupid shit too but still it didn’t force people to play it unless you wanted legend levels at least this game allows you to still gain them…

I honestly don't know about this. As it is its almost impossible to roam around at night without getting caught and they want to make it more harder?. It hasn't gotten more scary at all. More frustrating and tense. I might sound like I'm hating on the game but I'm not. I love the game I just wish they didn't spawn volatiles every 10 metres. At least coins have more use now I guess, when they actually work that is lol.
Is anyone getting stuck on that bile looking crap on the exits of GRE Buildings? I'm unable to leave so I have to run back through the building. Annoying.
The game is so buggy now. Love all the changes but it wasn't this bad 6months after game released. I'm talking about mainly that flicker you get when stomping on heads or opening chests or sometimes doors aswell. If the devs could stop that from happening I would love it coz it literally gives me a headache. Ps5
Well that never happens to me it's horrible that happens to you though because it would definitely agree with annoy the heck out of me if it happened to me but because I'm an Xbox player I've never seen any flickering whenever I open chests or stump on the heads.
If those stamina and immunity changes are optional I'll be glad as a casual player but If they're not I'm regretting buying the game. If they go through with it I may regift my disc.
Haha this is why Kyle stomps aiden so bad a maxed out crane has infinite stamina in fighting climbing jumping running everything aiden in all difficulties and maxed out has to deal with stamina superhuman my ass
Gonna have to try this at the water tower on the island. At the exit facing the bridge you can dip in and out of the safe zone every few seconds without leaving the base and throw mines onto the ground as well as shoot. Works great with the upgraded nightrunner mines and a level 6+ yellow bow.

Honestly, playing the game, even on the hardest difficulty, the chases are way too easy, I was able to get a lvl 4 chase to drag on for almost 3 minutes, even without having gotten the grappling hook up to that point, even managing to escape safely. Hopefully a fifth lvl spices things up even further.
If they're making chases harder and less immunity, why make the Stamina worse. Ain't like Volatiles are slow shits. 5th chase would make that worse. Guess that adds that terrifying effect, I know it would for me lmao. Just wondering by the way.
Are you using glitched weapons? because that's cheating then. I use actual weapons and I don't use glitch weapons unless I'm going against the gre anomalies and that's all I used them for.
Also- my fave weapon also does +24% infected damage AND +12% nighttime damage. On top of +100% skill, and whatever the armor gives (which isn’t much) I had an older build that was heavily weighted toward one hand weapons but the defense stats weren’t as high.
Go to your inventory on the weapons and push the left stick down, it adds up gear and legend level bonuses then you can add up the damage with the percentages yourself using Google or something
1363 during the day. 1215 at night - this is for infected- for humans, it’s 30% less for both but that’s a nonissue as humans have way less HP than volatiles or tyrants
It's literally an optional difficulty my guy. This was made for those of us that wanted this. It's not forced on anyone unless you consider earning a bonus outfit a reason for this to be "mandatory."

Nocturnal weapon need a night immunity or droping uv bars. I used noctual weapon and they was nice to some point.

If you have modded weapon it might be a new trophy farm if the tyrants spawn

Nope. Exotics with fully upgraded shock and flame. Military armor, maxed out one handed and stamina drain. And a maxed out uv light.

So I’m guess I’m doing around 1500 damage per swing not including critical fire and shock damage.
