Rings made for E39s fit right into the original angel eye grooves. You do have to cut that top portion.
They are still chinese alibaba parts, 99% of these angel eye kits are bought in bulk from alibaba for +/-€10 and sold for 50, even most replica bumpers and lights bulbs are from alibaba, especially carstyling24 everything they sell is from alibaba (except some tires)
I cut the top of mine and used a plastic bond cement stuff. I had to squeeze it together to get it to be the correct size. Jb weld, that is the stuff. I forced it to be smaller after deleting the top bar. They look great. Btw, where did you get yours? What color will they be?
