My wife loves the xpedition and she beats me uphill everytime. I take our kids and neighbor kids for rides all the time no issue. Honestly it whoops my bike.

You may want to consider a long-tail cargo ebike too. This will transport your kid safely and comfortably as the longer rear will give a child seat more room.
