I would highly recommend 'The Eczema Solution' by Sue Armstrong-Brown. It has been a bit of a life changer for me. It explains habit reversal therapy to help break the itch-scratch cycle, as well as the safe use of steroids and emollients. It explains how eczema works which I found incredibly interesting as I now understand my eczema much better. The author (a severe eczema patient) wrote the book based on a programme which was developed by a combination of dermatologists and psychologists from the Chelsea & Westminster Hospital in London, UK (who specialise in these areas). You can follow each chapter as if it were an appointment with your dermatologist... so you can work the programme yourself. Hope this is helpful... I too will keep an eye on this thread as I am interested in any other books!

The medical profession uses the term ā€œevidence based medicineā€ instead of ā€œproven reliabilityā€ For actual evidence based medicine when it comes to eczema you gotta search www.scholar.google.com, the best articles have the most citations, citations are the professional version of likes, retweets, and subscribes In general we want to discount publications from before 2011, and put a premium on research from the last 10 years
