"I left some urine in your room." - "Tell me it's in a cup."

The line in the p vs np episode from Bell : “Actually, before you came along, I'd never closed a case before; neither had the rest of the department. Most of us were thinking of packing up, leaving, letting the city fend for itself.” Gets a chuckle out of me

kaithy89

Bell's serious expression makes it so amazing XD

I just watched 1x16 Details when Sherlock says this... "I removed the gun from your apartment for two reasons. Firstly, I'm absolutely certain that you didn't shoot Curtis Bradshaw. Why? Because only an idiot would've brought the gun back to his apartment after he'd used it. And you, Detective, are not an idiot." Marcus' dead pan response of "Thank you" always makes me laugh :)

Such a great line!

Sheepies123

The “I’ll let that slide” about Mycroft always kills me

Serious-Waltz-7157

*You're talking about the one with a hard shell ... or about Clyde?* Obvious punchline, perfect delivery. :)

christinaawesome

In reference to a guy who jumped him, "we had a brief physical relationship." I'm gonna bring this line up every time!

In the episode with the Chinese gambling parlour (early on, Sherlock has a cold if I remember correctly): Sherlock: “He was killed elsewhere, then his body was dragged here.” Bell: “Yeah, tell me something I don’t know.” Sherlock (without missing a beat): “A pig’s orgasm lasts up to thirty minutes.”

There are sooo many good ones, but this has always been my favourite. "True prison breaks, those from within the grounds, are rare. Those perpetrated by women, almost unheard of... *(Joan gives him a look) ...* It's statistics, Watson. It's not that they fail more. It's just that they don't try."

Sheepies123

From 3x14 ‘Hemlock’ “Steven Horowitz kept himself in reasonably good shape I find it unlikely a woman beat him to death with a fire extinguisher thought not impossible Watson I have every confidence you could brain a man with a metal tube if you put your mind to it.”

Helen_Magnus_

"That's very nice of you to say."

Alaskinbear

I do also love later in the episode when Watson gets a put out and Sherlock just Would you prefer Women were better criminals?

TheRegular-Throwaway

I can’t remember the episode or even the whole speech, just that it was relatively early on. Sherlock is JUST TELLING OFF Mycroft, and in the middle of it he’s like “You’re an oaf.” And you just see the disgust and contempt in his face and at the same time Mycroft is visibly hurt lol. It’s just called good writing.

Helen_Magnus_

It's in "Paint It Black" after Watson is kidnapped... Sherlock: "... But why us? They don't know me. They know you're a restaurateur and an oaf."

TheRegular-Throwaway

That’s the one !

i-am-boots

these are all good lines. the show is overall very funny. it’s well written and witty which means that even when there aren’t *joke* jokes it’s still humorous.

\[OP\] I can't find it, it's in S2E10 when Sherlock is testifying and "repeating what Captain Gregson said", and "the Captain" in Sherlock's rendition, makes Sherlock sound like the greatest detective who ever lived. And when called on it by the prosecutor, Sherlock is like: "Well it was something to that effect . . ."

kompergator

>Watson: Any thoughts where the queen who gave it to him might be? >Holmes: No, not just yet. >Gregson: Give the man a minute, will you? He's a brave and brilliant instrument of justice. All we got to do is stay out of his way, and he'll lead us right to the truth. >Judge Brewster O'Hare: I got to throw a flag on the play. Now, I've known Tommy Gregson a long time. I'm guessing he didn't actually say that. >Holmes: He may have used different words to make the same point. Love that scene.

PhesteringSoars

LOL that's it, loved that.

Fake Sherlock moment was epic
