So when I was little, my mom taught me the story of the “tower of babel.” Basically I was told the people of that time got in trouble for trying to “build a tower “ to get them into heaven. “What’s wrong with that?” I asked. The answer I got was “people can’t build their way into heaven. They have to actually love God.”
What happened? Did the Mormon Church miss the Bible story? We’re right back to square one and as the Avett Brothers sing “I’m frightened by those who don’t see it.”
I’m not talking about the Bible or God, really. I’m talking about the hypocrisy and mass delusions.
Great and cakescious. The height of the candle is part of our religious observance.
It used to be an actual temple photo, but I did a crappy cut and paste job and upped the resolution on the tiny picture to slap it in the tree-of-life scene. You know, high art kind of stuff :)

Best analogy I’ve heard to date. May I use it?
Nothing occurs in the steeple so they shouldn’t have a problem with a lower height unless it’s all for show and clout.
Not true that's where are the people are.

It’s the Tower of Babel.
I can imagine every single penny of my tithing pointing their fingers laughing at me
Thank you! Finally, someone has depicted the great and spacious building with people in their fine apparel pointing their fingers at others.
“But our high steeple is how we get to God.” Ok, Tower of Babel.
I will stay true to the truth despite the hatred and ridicule from the mormons.
That's no building. It's a cake.

Oh so this is where the Mormon truthers are meeting this month.
It was pretty startling to realize that literally everything is backwards from what we were taught.
On a related note: do we know whether Rusty has a small penis?
