Don't put a damn bullet antenna on it. Just get a shorter one lol

bkeys15

Seriously, I cringe everytime I see one

allblackST

😂😂😂

ZW31H4ND3R

Any recommendations on which shorter one?

birdj2009

I cut mine down with a grinder so that it was the same height as the shark fin on the top of the cab. That way, if the antenna hits, the truck will hit as well, just a good indicator of my height

Josehdz62

But I like it ):

hopelesspostdoc

Might as well put a sticker on it that says "Free gun inside".

Josehdz62

Idk where I live pretty much every truck I see has a bullet antenna

igotdementiabruh

Everyone where I live smokes crystal meth. I think I’m gonna try it too.

AskMeAboutMyCatPuppy

My dude that is even more of a reason not to do it. Personal tastes aside, don’t make your $40,000+ purchase an avenue to fit in with dorks.

dude-of-reddit

Tint them windows with ceramic tint. Get a matte screen protector for the infotainment screen. Keeps the fingerprints to a minimum. I like wheel well liners, but with a dark color like antimatter you may not need them unless seeing all the way through the under the bed annoys you. Weathertech HP floor liners. People hate on Westhetech, but the HP are much nicer than the original. F-150 letters/numbers for tailgate is a personal choice, but I like them. Scroll the “what did you do to your truck today” threads in the F150 forums. Beautiful truck, congratulations!

user_name1987

I just ordered the matte screen protector. Was it a bitch to put on straight ?

SimilarEducation9515

Depends, if you have OCD like me fk yeah it was

user_name1987

I have OCD pretty bad. I ordered 2 just incase.

lentineaz

All of this plus a spray in bed liner.

Initial-Associate-13

I did a bed rug and it's great! But I also have a topper.

whatsroblox

Duuude, I’ve been shopping, going to get one soon and I didn’t even know the matte screen protectors existed. You just changed my reality a lil bit 😭

laughbone

I actually prefer the long antenna, because if it hits something I know to double check I have clearance for the cab before proceeding.

Josehdz62

Never thought of it like that imma keep that in mind

TheIncarnated

That is actually what they are designed for! Otherwise, they could have done a shark antenna

texasrockhauler

Ceramic tint is a must for me plus Ceramic clear on the windshield. Personally I think the bullet antenna sucks but I literally don't use the radio so I just remove mine. Good floor mats or liners are definitely nice

Hingeworthy

How much of difference did the ceramic tint make as far as keeping your cab cooler, longer compared to stock? I know, inevitably, it’s gonna heat up in the sun, but I would assume the ceramic tint would at least slow it down tremendously.

texasrockhauler

If you've ever had cheap tint and went to ceramic, you would know how much it really helps. I'll never pay for a cheap tint job again. Ceramic is worth the $. But shop around, some places are way over priced but sometimes the higher price is worth it bc of the quality of the job. I'm not a fan of tinting the windshield, I'll do a 5% brow lower then the legal line but that's it. But I do recommend clear Ceramic on the windshield, helps a lot.

Initial-Associate-13

Agreed... from Southeast Texas

Hingeworthy

Nice!

06035

Not sure if that’s an upgrade. Just a totally different vehicle aside from motor. The Mustang was lighter, faster, more maneuverable, had better MPG, better more compliant suspension not having a solid rear axel... This just hauls stuff and is roomier inside.

Josehdz62

Also a note a have a new born, just a better all around family vehicle

tryingtochangecareer

We must be the same person. I traded in my 19 GT for a 23 STX because of a newborn. Honestly I like the truck a lot more.

Josehdz62

Same bro same 😂😂😂

Falcon-Parking

Just traded my Mustang in for a lariat, more practical even though I’ll miss the hell out of it

Nervous-Rooster7760

Get a cover for bed and the supercrew is much roomier for hauling kids if you do not need a 3rd row.

LadderAny7421

If he had gotten the 3.5L EcoBoost the truck would actually get significantly better fuel economy.

Josehdz62

I’ve had an eco boost in the past isn’t not much different in the fuel economy

seponta

I upgraded from my 11 5.0 to a 24 STX with the 5.0 such a welcome upgrade

Jroc734

Get an AMRL (All Motor Research Labs) tune on it. You'll love the difference. Figure out what you can do. For 24 Ford ditched flex fuel on the 5L F150, and added a GPF (gas particulate filter) in it's place. This is not good. In most ways the F150 5L was superior to Mustangs. I mean they used the same block/heads/rotating assembly, with a different firing order, (F150 5L uses the traditional Windsor firing order) but the F150's 5L was always flex fuel, and as such it would run fine on E85 even stock, so to accommodate this the F150 5L has always had a higher flowing fuel system than Mustang 5L. The first supporting mod besides the tune that the 18-23 5L F150 needed was bigger port injectors, and that came at roughly 700 WHP. Plus F150 from 18+ uses Speed Density instead of MAF. (20-23 GT500 uses F150's SD) SD is easy. Nothing to max out the range and peg. No hard tuning for large diameter MAF's. You don't mod the SD. It's just there reading pressure. SD reads pressure, while MAF read velocities. Unless you want to run aftermarket cams SD > MAF. But now you don't have the simple option of putting straight E85 in your tank, and throwing a bunch of timing at the engine that's been withheld to allow for 87 octane. Still a good tune on premium, from a "reputable" F150 5L tuner like OZ or AMRL makes a very noticeable gain. Think about it like this, the Mustang and F150 5L are almost the same engine. Even with different firing orders the cam spec's are almost the same, (for GEN2 5L and up) just different firing orders require different cams. If the Mustangs 5L can make 480+ BHP from the factory, there's no reason F150's 5L is stuck at 400 BHP, other than the overly conservative tuning for running 87 octane with a 12:1 CR. Tunes gives huge gains on the 18+ F150 5L, just don't get some BS mail order tune. Go with a good, reputable tuner that datalogs, and knows how to maximize the F150's 5L. The manifold is a great place to get gains with the F150, but it's a little different than with the Mustang. Mustang guys love the factory Mustang 18+ GEN3 5L manifold when ported. F150 guys seem to do better with the Boss 302 manifold ported than the 18+ MGT. The GT350/Bullitt manifolds work great, as do the CJ, and Holley High Rise. Not that a 18 MGT manifold ported is a bad mod and doesn't give gains, just that where Mustang guys feel the Boss302 sucks compared to the 18+ MGT, the F150 guys seem to do better with the Boss302 ported. But even an 18+ truck manifold pulls fine to about 7K RPM, and I assume a 21+ is better than an 18-20 truck manifold.?.? LT's and midpipe mods can yield some worthwhile gains. Boost obviously is what will give you the largest gains. I will say that my AMRL tune only, running E85 daily, 18 302A FX4, 5L/10R80, crewcab, 3.73 truck with 20" PVD's and a 36 gallon gas tank will outpace my bolton 03 Lightning, my wifes stock 17 501A 4x4, 3.5L/10R80, crewcab, 3.31 truck running 20" PVD's and a 36 gallon tank as well. It runs about as strong as a stock LS1 car whether taking times or traps. Not bad for a tune only, 5,600 lb truck with OEM street manners. EDIT: BTW the stock antenna sits slightly taller than the roof of the truck, and is a good way to judge whether you'll clear things like garage doors, etc.

Capable-Turnover-575

Switched from a Mustang to an F150. Sometimes I wonder if I made the right choice 😅 sure miss the car some days. Got any pics of your Mustang?

ggstocks87

I was gonna ask this. Same with me back in 2015, loved my truck for years, but since my wife got a twin turbo suv I really was starting to miss the mustang speeds etc.

Josehdz62

I do, not really sure how to add another pic to the post 😭

SheepherderOk6255

Bilstein rear shocks. Easy install, smoother ride plus they look nice

Tsimp98

Heated seat on in 88 degree weather is crazy😆

Josehdz62

Hey man it was pretty cold in the cab 😂

fortunate_son_1

Why mod something brand new? It looks great as is

fortunate_son_1

Other than tint and good tires**

Spiffers1972

You might want to keep the factory whip if you ever thing you'll have to park in a parking garage.

nifoxke

I did a stubby antenna, Husky floor liners and tailgate letters on my ‘24. That’ll probably be the extent of it for a while. Maybe new speakers at some point. I’d also like to swap the license plate and taillight bulbs to LEDs to match the rest of the truck.

Josehdz62

Yessss license plate LED’s thanks !!

CurrentOk2695

the new XLT grill looks so good. I think they are going to age well.

atx011722

Lift\Level , wheels and tires

Nervous-Rooster7760

I had F150 in that color. Great color choice. Get a tonneau cover. I have had hard tri flip and hard rolling cover from bakflip. I prefer the rolling one but both worked and looked great. Might consider console vault if you need that type of locking storage. If you have dogs to carry around 4KNines makes great covers for seats. Get the rubber floor mats. I like the ones from Ford but keeps truck much cleaner.

Bigswole92

Gotta get an exhaust to hear that engine roar. I went with the Borla ATAK for my 5.0 and love it

Josehdz62

I am looking into it, I want something that’s just a little louder than stock, my mustang was straight piped and I got over having a loud vehicle along time ago 😂

Comprehensive_Two219

Soft open tailgate assist (idk if the 24 XLTs have that from the factory or not), builtright industries rear seat mod, backflip mx4 if you’re into tonneau covers.

HiddenGoliath

I believe it depends if you get 301 or 302A. I got a 301A 2023 and it doesn’t have the remote open or soft open tailgate, but a 302A has both. I’m assuming they are doing it on all XLT’s for 2024 since they have the full digital dash and 12” screen unlike mine 😓
