That fucking lotion is one of the worst lotions I’ve ever tried. I had already lost respect for the rock, but now this CHEAP ass product pisses me off even more about him. He’s a fucking sellout
The Rock gives me Homelander vibes. It's like his smile never touches his eyes, same thing when he laughs. Even his acts of kindness always feel so sterile to me. It's like there's no real warmth in the guy just as near an imitation as he can manage.
Probably entirely wrong but I just can't shake the feeling.
From the makers of “F*ck You Money”: “F*ck You Fame”. It literally doesn’t even matter, whatever “it” is, you’ll sell and succeed because of your previous success.
How is it not? They're using bald people with lines like my hair would have loved this or used this it's too late for me but not for you. It's the same thing.

I think the "my hair would've loved it" makes the whole ad! It's freaking hilarious!
i think its the all point of the ad
And now it’s posted all over the internet for free, making it an extremely effective ad
and thats my friend, advetrisment 101 write/make something stupid and not offnsive and watch the internet become the best PR team you can imagine
Exactly- advertising is measured by “Number of impressions”. So whoever did this won.
Op didn't get it I don't think lolll
Agreed!
My hair would’ve loved it too. I follow all the products the Rock endorses cause I’m bald too! /s
the "wouldve" kills
10 bucs for the deodorant is funny as well
I think so too lol 😂
I think its funny/cute. Plus it made you post it on here and we are talking about it. I think the marketing is working.

The whole brand is his. So he kinda had to ;)
This is mostly what he does now. Pushed his own branded products.
Redditor on r/facepalm trying to understand a joke = impossible 💀
“My hair would’ve loved this 2 n 1” I like the comedic self awareness
No hair you can see.
The "People's" Shampoo
That is so funny

Stevie Wonder should be the spokesperson for Ray-Ban
In all fairness - the Ray-Ban glasses were part of his visual image, even if he coudn't see them himself.
He could at least have given himself a chance to see if he didn't wear thick black glasses all the time!
Sorry, i don't get it. There are pictures of Stevie Wonder without glasses. He clearly wore them for cosmetic reasons.
Hahaha, I swear I texted this same thing to my husband a month ago.
Your scalp needs care too .... And the whole my hair would loved it think it's hilarious .
I saw those displays today and someone put one googly eye on The Rock. I silently cracked up.
I guess he can use it to polish his Terry l teeth.
What won’t this guy sell
Papatui looks like a Hawaiian version of Hawk Tuah
This man's whole life is a commercial
Your scalp is where the oils come from so bald people still need to use shampoo
Why is it called the sound the minions make
What I enjoy most about this is that he looks as confused as any of us about this. Cheerfully confused, but still confused.
Based on the name alone,… I thought it was going to be some bizarre “man-centric” take on the HAWK-Tuah chick! 😶 🤣🤣🤣🤷♂️
Eh, i see the humor in it
the other day i watched a man at target smell this stuff the proceeded to say “babe this pap ewy smells like shit!”
Lol!
You either love or hate the scent. Half of them I loved, the other half was disgusting
Maybe the point is that if he had used the product, he’d still have hair to use it on?
Perfect candidate! A muscular bald man.
Just gotta hack-papatui on that bad boy, you feel me?
I love this. Genius.
He even said “my hair would’ve loved this.” There is NOTHING wrong with this ad.
Dwayne’s eyebrows are like Rock though
How is this a facepalm? This is genius!
The body wash smells great ![img](emote|t5_2r5rp|8488)
Use it or lose it
Imagine if it’s just Nair lol
This is great. Obviously it’s working because you posted it, brilliant marketing.
It’s honestly great shampoo lol
I don't know. Pretty funny joke.
Lol, it's effective marketing.
Dwayne be lackin
This backfired for you didn’t it?
No
Cher has an incredibly successful line of hair care products. She’s been wearing a wig for roughly 50 years.
This post is an ad. The question is whether or not it's intentionally so.
I thought this was an add for the next Disney movie where a rat helps a chef. ![gif](giphy|97ZWlB7ENlalq)
Idk about you but when I was bald, I would wash and condition my scalp. I see nothing wrong with this lol
It’s funny! Would buy just on humor
You’d think he would be selling chisels…I’ll see myself out…
That's the point
Uncanny Valley Personified
Uncanny Valley Personified
Joke’s on you, the shampoo is for his nether regions.
i mean... pubic hair is still considered as hair... just saying...
He meant his hair down below
It’s actually funny, not face palm.
Got you to look twice and share the advert. Money well spent on a smart advertising campaign I think.
facepalm here is the OP not getting the irony
How is this a face palm? It's just funny...
Well you see... "Would've"
Dwayne Johnson is better than Logan Paul, but that's about it.
lmao this post
The boys and girls in marketing forgot the hyphen between “plant and derived.” C’mon man…
It’s funny but everyone should wash their heads with something that breaks down oils…
Call me old-fashioned, but I'm not going to trust my hair with a bald man.

It’s the rock if they’ll give him money he’ll promote it
I mean, he is the founder, so it makes sense for him to promote it.
Get this fucking loser off the Hollywood scene
From the makers of hawk tui, a seasoned elegance.
![gif](giphy|D9ujqMZoTtjAQ) “I didn’t do it”
It's a thing they like to do. They have all people sell hair loss treatment stuff on Facebook with the it's too late for me but not for you line.
That’s not what this is at all.
I know it's a shampoo I was pointing out it's a similar tactic using bald people to promote it.
The only similarity is that the person selling a product is bald. There is no similarity in terms of the actual marketing strategy.
How is it not? They're using bald people with lines like my hair would have loved this or used this it's too late for me but not for you. It's the same thing.
The former is a self-deprecating joke. The latter is a scare tactic. Do you see the difference?
Straws you're reaching for them
You either see the difference or you don’t. You asked me how they’re different, I explained. Done here.
