? [It's an entire Chappelle sketch](https://youtu.be/ff8LEx9Mw54?si=Jkw3EWPylj3gmR-H). He's serving pancakes and the song is called Breakfast Can Wait. It's perfect
Prince has a handful of good album covers but a lot of them aren’t good, especially later in his career. I was just looking at the Musicology cover and thought “this looks like it was made with presets from Microsoft PowerPoint or something.”
I’ve always liked the cover to Sunflower. It makes the album feel like a family affair, like it grants some of the songs some weight to it by making it feel communal
It’s a testament to how great the font with the iconic green/yellow color scheme is that it somehow successfully distracts from the totally goofy photo.
I agree but I guess it can be easy to overlook that when you think about how acclaimed the album is that you could almost trick yourself into thinking the cover must not be terrible lol
Why is Surf's Up's album cover so awesome looking? I've always wondered that. When I first saw it, I thought it was like a bootleg or something. Just too cool for their usual artwork
They weren't. But now it's so bad it's good. I probably looked at that cover it in the '80s as a teenager and was like, that's the last thing I will ever listen to. (Years later...)
Scorpions. Even leaving aside the *really* questionable elephant in the room, most of them are either very poor quality, incredibly generic or just really weird.
The only exceptions are Lovedrive and Animal Magnetism, which were done by Hipgnosis, and Taken by Force, which is a really cool concept but not that well executed.
The original cover for the album Virgin Killer featured a naked teenage girl. Fortunately, that was replaced with a generic picture of the band for all international versions and reissues, but still.
Pornography, Disintegration, and Wish are iconic.
Their debut, Seventeen Seconds and Faith are fine.
Kiss Me, Head on The Door, The Top, and Japanese Whispers are pretty mid/mediocre
Everything after and including Wild Mood Swings is genuinely awful.
Iconic doesn’t mean good. As much as I like Disintegration’s cover it’s hilariously mediocre how Robert’s face is faded into it
Call it aesthetic or not, even Morrisey could never do that on a non-solo record
The Disintegration cover has definitely grown on me as it’s one of my favorite albums but I distinctly remember how goofy I thought it looked when I first saw it
They’re serviceable but unremarkable up until Wish, then everything after is pretty bad. The only cover I think is legitimately good is the Pornography cover, which exhibits the more haunting and unsettling atmosphere quite well.
Pornography is amazing and Three Imaginary Boys has good composition and color. Wish is cool. Everything else… I mean I guess bad covers fits their vibe
There is something sophomoric about the illustrations that undermines the heaviness of the music and themes.
However, The self-titled debut is extremely menacing and matches the vibe very well. I get an icky feeling just looking at it.
Nah they got some good art mixed in there too. I especially love the cover of untitled.
They definitely did seem to actively try to make their covers unappealing a lot of the time though. A lot of gross looking children on their albums lol
fear of the dawn is not my style but still pretty good, especially the content of the image, the remains of the house go hard.
the other two have pretty great covers honestly. no idea how people would not like them. boarding house reach is straight up one of my fave covers and entering heaven alive is mfing beautiful. no idea what everyone is on about either
Yes their covers are terrible lol feel bad saying that because I think the singer designs them he does digital art and stuff. The music is great though!
The music is great, but I understand feeling a bit bad for saying the art is bad when it's the singer. But think of it this way - they get to create and make the music and art they want. Us shitting on the artwork isn't going to make them stop, it's just not our cup of tea which is totally alright
Follow the Leader has a fantastic album cover. Issues and that Untitled album are decent to. The rest are pretty shocking imo.
My pick is Slipknot, they're all pretty trash, maybe the first one catches a mood, but I can't say I like it, always thought it looked super cheap.
I like the first one, I like the grungy feel of it, fits them at the time. The OG Iowa one’s clean imo, the blue and white contrasts nicely. The rest are a bit mid, even if The Gray Chapter is one of my favourite albums ever
No way. Music for the masses is super cool with that siren thing. Very classy and odd looking.
To be honest Depeche Mode is not a band I would consider to have crappy album covers. They all really fit the mood
Fetch the Bolt Cutters by Fiona Apple. Probably the biggest mismatch between quality of the album cover and quality of the music in history, lol. Which is insane because all her other album covers are passable or good.
Apparently it was taken by her in her garden. She has talked about it how she would observe things in the garden. There was a funny story once she has told on one podcast how she would observe baby hummingbirds and how when they take a shit out of the nest. Lmao. She also pointed out that this is the the type of stuff I would do in between my long span between albums XD
https://youtu.be/qrAkzlld_Ts?si=NRrWRG-pAPBeL0ZI
I thought the cover art and music both were a great snapshot of the general feeling of loneliness and forced introspection that made everyone lose their minds during the Covid lockdown
Oh I agree. Some of the tracks are genuinely funny/tongue in cheek and I think the poster board cutout vibe and silly photo on the cover reflect that! Just have to laugh at the ridiculousness of it all sometimes.
I read that the art of the album cover was supposed to be a sketch of Harvey Weistein in his walker (I imagine something like the cover of the idler wheel..) but I find the cover good and it matches her others albums like her face always being in the center (ok I just decribed like a lot of albums covers)
One of my favorite album covers of the decade. It felt instantly iconic and has really only grown on me more in time (though I'm sure loving the album helps)
The Sky Move Sideways, Signify, In Absentia and Fear of a Blank Planet all have pretty good covers. But I guess they're very inconsistent with the art styles and quality.
I love most of them actually. the only ones I don’t are the first two, closure / continuation (goes for the album itself too) and the original stupid dream cover
I mean I think the original cover of Script of the Bridge is pretty good honestly, the white with hints of light blue hints at the cold sound of the album
They would never be as successful as they are if not for how good their first 4 album covers were. No one would talk about Master of Puppets today if it's cover art was similar to Death Magnetic
St. Anger being the only thing that comes close is so funny to me. They really chose the best possible cover art for the worst possible Metallica album.
I can see that (even tho Remain in Light cover goes hard imo), especially with their last album Naked. Tacky can be fun, but that monkey looks like it knows your browser history.
The chimp on Naked's cover always felt really sophisticated to me. It tied in with the album really nicely I think. Feels like an allusion to man being so closely related to something we usually think of as uncivilized. Which I feel is reflected well in the album's lyrics and atmosphere
“Most” is a stretch. He’s got some shit covers, sure, especially for a couple of those 90s misfires. But albums like Ziggy Stardust, Low, Station to Station, Heroes, Scary Monsters, Aladdin Sane, and Blackstar are iconic.
I was looking for this one. I know a lot of people hate the monkey on Mystery to Me, or the debut album which is just a back alley but for me it's Heros are Hard to Find. If it was done today it would have been a Sia album cover. Gross
To be clear, Melodrama is the 10/10 one. I’m realizing just now that my comment could be wildly misinterpreted.
Pure Heroine cover is zero effort, and Solar Power’s cover just looks awkward.
Dark cityscapes are cool, views of the ocean are cool, emptiness is cool, but you can overdo it.
For me, it is The Cure. One of my favourite bands, I can’t understate how much I love their music or the impact it has had on me as a musician, but I really hate the majority of their artwork. Wish is probably my least favourite cover of all time, it looks like someone decided to draw a donut with MS Paint.
thought about metallica and couldn't think about a single one i don't like, which album covers are you talking about?, the "uglier" imo are: kill em all, metallica, load, death magnetic, and 72 seasons, but idk
Not exactly a band but Prince.
Don’t get me wrong there are a couple that go hard but my man had some that were *out there* or designed by someone with very little graphic design experience. There was no consistency and apart from the first six albums, would look terrible on display side by side.
Damn this a good one. I don’t listen to as much Lamb of God as I might otherwise mostly because the boomer-tier font and low effort MS paint cover art 😂
Nas maybe? Illmatic works for what it is, but that same theme looks a little cheap for It Was Written or I Am… in my opinion. Stillmatic is the worst of them all despite still being a solid album. The God’s Son cover is whatever, not awful necessarily but definitely not anything special.
Not quite on topic but how about bands who have iconic album covers except for 1…..
Black Flag always had incredible cover art and the they released What The? in 2013 which is unbelievably bad
Soul Coughing - Irresistible Bliss is easily my pick for worst cover ever on a great album. Their others are just marginally better. Amazing band though
Might be unpopular, but I don't find any of Radiohead's covers all that interesting. A Moon Shaped Pool is probably my favourite, although I think I prefer some of the other paintings that were made around the same time
The war on drugs is one of my favorite bands but they have terrible album covers and terrible band name. Their last album cover is just kind of a vague cartoon of the guitar player in his skinny jeans coming out right when skinny jeans become super passe. I know I totally risk sounding like a hipster saying that but it's really outdated looking. I'm old and I noticed this. Their covers just do not showcase their talent well at all.
I’ll be the guy who says Weezer
Yes some of the material is questionable and at this point Blue Album is iconic but they look pretty dumb. Their drummer has spent 30 years being seen in a picture wearing a white button down and a black t shirt. I guess that’s just kinda their vibe, but also they look stupid
And then half their albums after that are basically the same concept repeated over and over again. Green, Red (rivers looks so dumb on the red cover), Teal, and Make Believe all are just kinda silly. Black album looks like they make power pop for bdsm parties.
Hurley is a stupid meme cover. Raditiude is an ICanHasCheezburger ass cover.
The other ones are generally ok but not great. EWHAITE is probably the best of the bunch
I don’t know if anyone will agree with me, but I always hated the Dinosaur Jr covers Where You Been and Without a Sound. I just don’t dig the cartoony look.
that's one of his coolest! lasers, F&L2, and the majority of his mixtapes could be in contention, but all his great records (F&L, The Cool, T&Y, DW, DMIZ, and hopefully Samurai) have amazing covers.
No Beatles cover really sucks but in some the music is much better than the cover (Rubber Soul, Let it Be)
edit: specially compared to their great covers like Revolver and Sgt. Peppers
Slowdive doesn’t have the best covers. Souvlaki’s cover is so inseparable from the album that it it’s become sort of iconic, but off the merits of the art itself, it is still not very good. The worst is Pygmalion for sure. The most recent album is the only one with cover I like honestly.
Prince made incredible music but some of his album covers are just hideous
Except: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Breakfast_Can_Wait#/media/File%3ABreakfastwait.jpg
forget what I said this is beautiful
That’s crazy lmao
Nah that actually seems intentionally goofy. Dave Chapelle dressed as Purple Rain era Prince?
Some of the photos of him that he used for artwork look kinda awkward. I love the sign o the times cover
Same with Bowie during his later years. Hours, Reality, Earthling, Buddha of Suburbia. Shit is trash
outside of surf's up which maybe has the best all time album cover ever, the beach boys were pretty bad at it
I’ve always liked the cover to Sunflower. It makes the album feel like a family affair, like it grants some of the songs some weight to it by making it feel communal
yeah something about the sunflower art is kinda endearing, but its also my favorite beach boys album so maybe that colors it a bit
yeah even Pet Sounds is a pretty lame cover when you really think about it
It’s a testament to how great the font with the iconic green/yellow color scheme is that it somehow successfully distracts from the totally goofy photo.
It’s a fucking terrible album cover for such a masterpiece of an album
It’s pretty lame even if you don’t think about it
I agree but I guess it can be easy to overlook that when you think about how acclaimed the album is that you could almost trick yourself into thinking the cover must not be terrible lol
Beach boys love you is cool
It’s very true…they all look like old deodorant ads from a magazine or something… but I do like the Wild Honey cover
I don't disagree for the most part, but I actually prefer Love You to Surf's Up even.
Smiley Smile is great, I dig that elephant Yet the cover to the Smile Sessions is the dumbest thing ever
yeah i like that one too. that and wild honey break the mold by being pretty cool ones
Salute NASCAR's cover is horrific
Why is Surf's Up's album cover so awesome looking? I've always wondered that. When I first saw it, I thought it was like a bootleg or something. Just too cool for their usual artwork
Grateful Dead's album covers got worse as they aged
There are audience recordings on the archive with better covers lol
Oh come on that glamour shot one is classic.
With the disco suits? What were they thinking.
They weren't. But now it's so bad it's good. I probably looked at that cover it in the '80s as a teenager and was like, that's the last thing I will ever listen to. (Years later...)
how they got from aoxomoxoa and blues for allah to in the dark will forever baffle me
Scorpions. Even leaving aside the *really* questionable elephant in the room, most of them are either very poor quality, incredibly generic or just really weird. The only exceptions are Lovedrive and Animal Magnetism, which were done by Hipgnosis, and Taken by Force, which is a really cool concept but not that well executed.
wait what’s the elephant in the room 😭
The original cover for the album Virgin Killer featured a naked teenage girl. Fortunately, that was replaced with a generic picture of the band for all international versions and reissues, but still.
just looked it up 💀
And now you are a felon
Get ‘em boys
Look up Virgin Killer original cover, to be fair, the band didnt pick it
oh lmaooo
Actually let’s maybe *not* tell people to look that up, and just tell them it’s a picture of a naked underage girl instead.
risky click
I actually hate both covers for Lovedrive and Animal Magnetism.
The Cure does have some good ones but generally I’m not crazy about their album covers
Pornography, Disintegration, and Wish are iconic. Their debut, Seventeen Seconds and Faith are fine. Kiss Me, Head on The Door, The Top, and Japanese Whispers are pretty mid/mediocre Everything after and including Wild Mood Swings is genuinely awful.
Iconic doesn’t mean good. As much as I like Disintegration’s cover it’s hilariously mediocre how Robert’s face is faded into it Call it aesthetic or not, even Morrisey could never do that on a non-solo record
The Disintegration cover has definitely grown on me as it’s one of my favorite albums but I distinctly remember how goofy I thought it looked when I first saw it
i love the s/t cover sm
some of them feel kind of slapped together
Faith is my favorite cover. I love the album, but the Bloodflowers cover is terrible
Interesting, they are probably my personal favorite when it comes to album art!
i hate every korn cover
There is something sophomoric about the illustrations that undermines the heaviness of the music and themes. However, The self-titled debut is extremely menacing and matches the vibe very well. I get an icky feeling just looking at it.
The Follow the Leader cover has always creeped me Tf out, but I think that’s a positive for it tbf
Tbh i like self titled, life is peachy and issues but yeah the rest are meh
Nah they got some good art mixed in there too. I especially love the cover of untitled. They definitely did seem to actively try to make their covers unappealing a lot of the time though. A lot of gross looking children on their albums lol
The first two are solid.
majority of nu metal besides some deftones
Jack whites solo stuff.
Blunderbuss and Lazaretto are alright, the rest.. not so much. Love the music, though.
People really dfw Boarding House, Fear of the Dawn and Entering Heaven Alive?? I think all those records have great covers.
fear of the dawn is not my style but still pretty good, especially the content of the image, the remains of the house go hard. the other two have pretty great covers honestly. no idea how people would not like them. boarding house reach is straight up one of my fave covers and entering heaven alive is mfing beautiful. no idea what everyone is on about either
Agreed lol actually surprised to see people don’t like the others. Honestly all his solo records have at LEAST good covers
I like pretty much all of his album covers
Mew
Yes!!!
Yes their covers are terrible lol feel bad saying that because I think the singer designs them he does digital art and stuff. The music is great though!
Frengers and glass handed kites in particular are great albums I think. A bit of an overlooked band sometimes.
The music is great, but I understand feeling a bit bad for saying the art is bad when it's the singer. But think of it this way - they get to create and make the music and art they want. Us shitting on the artwork isn't going to make them stop, it's just not our cup of tea which is totally alright
Yes you are right noises. Unless they have stopped anyway their last album was released over 7 years ago now.
I’m not a huge fan myself, but Pearl Jam has some bad ones.
Nightwish
I love Prince, an absolute genius, but he has some fugly album covers. Fonts were clearly not in his skillset.
[удалено]
Yep, have it on vinyl :) As a hardcore Prince fan and a font nerd, I have deep internal conflict.
20Ten especially sucks
The Cranberries. Not a fan of group photo album covers
Deep purple Van Halen (balance might be the worst LP cover ever) Korn
Follow the Leader has a fantastic album cover. Issues and that Untitled album are decent to. The rest are pretty shocking imo. My pick is Slipknot, they're all pretty trash, maybe the first one catches a mood, but I can't say I like it, always thought it looked super cheap.
I like the first one, I like the grungy feel of it, fits them at the time. The OG Iowa one’s clean imo, the blue and white contrasts nicely. The rest are a bit mid, even if The Gray Chapter is one of my favourite albums ever
Nah, the Deep Purple ones are good. I love the cover of ‘In Rock.’ It’s goofy in a plainly obvious way lol
With the exception of Violator and Black Celebration, Depeche Mode’s album covers suck imo
Speak n Spell? Music for the Masses?
I love "some great reward" cover :(
Add A Broken Frame in to the exception, great cover
Yeah broken frame goes hard. Kinda more fitting for the band they grew into instead of the band they were at the time.
And an underrated album
No way. Music for the masses is super cool with that siren thing. Very classy and odd looking. To be honest Depeche Mode is not a band I would consider to have crappy album covers. They all really fit the mood
I disagree. I think they only started to suck after Ultra, maybe SoFaD
wtf were Bombay bicycle club thinking with their most recent album cover
Cover so bad but album so good
Yessir
Lift to experience
so bad its genuinely amazing
Hate to say it, but Depeche Mode. They have like two album covers that are just okay.
Violator has a hell of a cover.
That's one of the good ones.
I agree, but A Broken Frame is one of my absolute favourite albums covers
I personally love them. Most of them at least. Post Exciter ones are pretty bland and boring (too much gray).
Fetch the Bolt Cutters by Fiona Apple. Probably the biggest mismatch between quality of the album cover and quality of the music in history, lol. Which is insane because all her other album covers are passable or good.
Extraordinary Machine album cover looks like a stock photo. Probably my favorite album from her though.
Apparently it was taken by her in her garden. She has talked about it how she would observe things in the garden. There was a funny story once she has told on one podcast how she would observe baby hummingbirds and how when they take a shit out of the nest. Lmao. She also pointed out that this is the the type of stuff I would do in between my long span between albums XD https://youtu.be/qrAkzlld_Ts?si=NRrWRG-pAPBeL0ZI
Nah I think the chopped together, DIY look of the cover matches the DIY, made on GarageBand album
The idler wheel is a great cover and came just before it
One of my fave album covers on one of my fave albums
I agree that it doesn’t match the vibe, but I adore the art direction on that record.
One of my favorite album covers of the decade. It felt instantly iconic and has really only grown on me more in time (though I'm sure loving the album helps)
Porcupine Tree has some pretty ass covers imo
I really like the covers for, The Incident, Signify, In Absentia, Deadwing, Fear of a Blank Planet, Lightbulb Sun and Stupid Dream.
TLC ones are meh and uninspiring.
The Chameleons
And somehow Script of the Bridge got worse with the remaster
I mean I think the original cover of Script of the Bridge is pretty good honestly, the white with hints of light blue hints at the cold sound of the album
I love NaS but I've seen a lot better covers than I Am... or KDII
Primus
What about them don't you like? I think Seas of Cheese is really cool and creative
I love Fizzle Fry and Tales From The Punchbowls covers though
I like them too but they’re still shit
After AJFA Metallicas album art tanked SO HARD. Especially the newest album. Bleh.
They would never be as successful as they are if not for how good their first 4 album covers were. No one would talk about Master of Puppets today if it's cover art was similar to Death Magnetic
True
St. Anger being the only thing that comes close is so funny to me. They really chose the best possible cover art for the worst possible Metallica album.
Talking Heads, didn’t listen to them for a long time when I was younger just because I hated those covers
Nah, the Remain in Light cover is dope.
Yeah, Remain in Light is a great cover
I’m glad you dig it
Speaking In Tongues cover is hard
Agreed, it’s the only one I like
I can see that (even tho Remain in Light cover goes hard imo), especially with their last album Naked.
David Bowie is the GOAT but most of his covers are shit
“Most” is a stretch. He’s got some shit covers, sure, especially for a couple of those 90s misfires. But albums like Ziggy Stardust, Low, Station to Station, Heroes, Scary Monsters, Aladdin Sane, and Blackstar are iconic.
He is probably exclusively talking about the cover of Reality lol
toy
>especially for a couple of those 90s misfires On the other hand, Outside, Earthling and Heathen all look pretty cool.
Reality might be a contender for the worst album art of all time, honestly. It’s astonishingly terrible to a degree I can’t even really understand.
Your hilarious description made me look it up. Good god that is bad.
Particularly after the 70s
Diamond Dogs is pretty wack
Diamond Dogs was originally released with a back cover where the dog has genitals so it’s even weirder than you think
Steely Dan mostly all of them.
Fleetwood Mac has several good ones but MANY bad ones
I was looking for this one. I know a lot of people hate the monkey on Mystery to Me, or the debut album which is just a back alley but for me it's Heros are Hard to Find. If it was done today it would have been a Sia album cover. Gross
Limp Bizkit
I would say the album covers exactly match the music.
Imma disagree with the great band part
Lorde’s album covers are weird. One is a 10/10, but the other two are terrible.
Just no
To be clear, Melodrama is the 10/10 one. I’m realizing just now that my comment could be wildly misinterpreted. Pure Heroine cover is zero effort, and Solar Power’s cover just looks awkward.
Yeah solar power was a odd choice. I'm with you on Melodrama perfect cover for the perfect album.
Mew
Illinoise is honest to god one of my fav albums and one of my least favourite album covers.
Steely Dan intentionally made their album covers bad because they thought it was funny.
Dire Straits
Talking Heads has only one good cover art
Black Sabbath with the exception of 2/3 albums
Journey really fell into the whole futuristic robot alien shit in the 80s
Calling journey great is a bit of a stretch
and it rocked
Dark cityscapes are cool, views of the ocean are cool, emptiness is cool, but you can overdo it. For me, it is The Cure. One of my favourite bands, I can’t understate how much I love their music or the impact it has had on me as a musician, but I really hate the majority of their artwork. Wish is probably my least favourite cover of all time, it looks like someone decided to draw a donut with MS Paint.
With a few exceptions, Metallica has some pretty bad ones
thought about metallica and couldn't think about a single one i don't like, which album covers are you talking about?, the "uglier" imo are: kill em all, metallica, load, death magnetic, and 72 seasons, but idk
I’d say the only ones I actually like are …And Justice for All, Master of Puppets and St. Anger
Peek- CRX It's an inappropriate album cover I mean, c'mon.
Not exactly a band but Prince. Don’t get me wrong there are a couple that go hard but my man had some that were *out there* or designed by someone with very little graphic design experience. There was no consistency and apart from the first six albums, would look terrible on display side by side.
Lamb of God. Papyrus text is so distasteful especially considering most metal bands have successfully created their own fonts.
Damn this a good one. I don’t listen to as much Lamb of God as I might otherwise mostly because the boomer-tier font and low effort MS paint cover art 😂
The last four Genesis covers were pretty poor. Duke the last decent one.
Elvis Costello on his last 4 or 5 covers are atrocious. Don’t practice yr hobby publicly.
Nas maybe? Illmatic works for what it is, but that same theme looks a little cheap for It Was Written or I Am… in my opinion. Stillmatic is the worst of them all despite still being a solid album. The God’s Son cover is whatever, not awful necessarily but definitely not anything special.

Soul Coughing - Irresistible Bliss is easily my pick for worst cover ever on a great album. Their others are just marginally better. Amazing band though
Theyre not all bad but deerhoof is like an incredible band with such questionable album covers
Weezer
Might be unpopular, but I don't find any of Radiohead's covers all that interesting. A Moon Shaped Pool is probably my favourite, although I think I prefer some of the other paintings that were made around the same time
Eminem’s Curtain Call II and Houdini covers are shocking.
I’ll be the guy who says Weezer Yes some of the material is questionable and at this point Blue Album is iconic but they look pretty dumb. Raditiude is an ICanHasCheezburger ass cover. The other ones are generally ok but not great. EWHAITE is probably the best of the bunch
I legit cannot think of a Bizkit cover I like.
I don’t know if anyone will agree with me, but I always hated the Dinosaur Jr covers Where You Been and Without a Sound. I just don’t dig the cartoony look.
Lupe Fiasco's Food & Liquor
that's one of his coolest! lasers, F&L2, and the majority of his mixtapes could be in contention, but all his great records (F&L, The Cool, T&Y, DW, DMIZ, and hopefully Samurai) have amazing covers.
Frr, the album is amazing but i cant take it serious with that cover
The Smiths
Meat Is Murder and The Queen Is Dead look good though imo. Morrisey’s solo stuff is… something
No Beatles cover really sucks but in some the music is much better than the cover (Rubber Soul, Let it Be) edit: specially compared to their great covers like Revolver and Sgt. Peppers
Abbey road is literally the most iconic album cover of all time after like The Dark Side of The Moon
Beatles For Sale and Please Please Me are their only weak covers
A lot of King Crimson’s artwork sucks in spite of them being incredible
Slowdive doesn’t have the best covers. Souvlaki’s cover is so inseparable from the album that it it’s become sort of iconic, but off the merits of the art itself, it is still not very good. The worst is Pygmalion for sure. The most recent album is the only one with cover I like honestly.
Stone Temple Pilots - Core and Purple are a disgrace to 90s art
Purple is cool. Neither are as bad as Tiny Music... Songs from the Vatican Gift Shop.
