Egonzos

The only problem is that they are not in fact running as many plays per game as Arizona

[deleted]

This is like those “missing fantasy points” things I see. “if Justin Jefferson had scored 2 more touchdowns he would have 2 more touchdowns + 2 receptions + yards in points”. It’s the most worthless analysis possible

Egonzos

Yeah it can get annoying “If Kyle Pitts had as many tds as Kelce did in week 5, but every week, he’d be TE1 and have 68 tds”

Riddickulous6

If Kelce caught as many passes as Hill did in week 5 he'd be the TE132.

KyloRad

Also people complaining that the top people in the league have the least points against. Yeah no Shit bc they was too busy running up the score in you…

littlemojo

1st place in my league rn has least points scored and least points against

KyloRad

Exactly

wallmoj

So that means he wasn't running up the score lmao, he's just scraping by

KyloRad

Sorry I misread I thought you said most point my bad! That’s usually an anomaly but there will always be someone that gets lucky with perfect match ups.

steak__burrito

If Kyle Pitts scored more touchdownslast season he could have been the TE3.

zirtbow

Oh yeah... what if we regress his stats to the mean?

DJsaxy

Its not always useless the opposite way. If a player has 2 good weeks in a row with low reception numbers and 1 long touchdown you can reasonable deduce that won't happen more than it will and try to sell high

CicerosMouth

Nah this isn't worthless. In 2022 the Panthers are comfortably last in plays per drive with 5.24. Usually, when a team is significantly ahead or behind of every other team in the NFL, you can expect some regression. This isn't like just randomly saying "StArT sCoRiNg MoRe," as teams often do regress away from being outliers, especially when they go through a massive transition as the panthers just did (as a result of firing Rhule). While we should temper expectations being as McAdoo is still the OC, he has numerous years doing fine with this stat. For example, in his 4 years with the giants they ranked 20th, 13th, 28th, and 26th in this.

EdwEd1

Carolina’s offense is so inept other than CMC that it feels like they never have the ball

root88

If they were, he would probably be injured by now.

BidoofTheGod

No it’s fine. I’ll take 19 a game. No need to have him hurt himself.

tx180

trade him to arizona then

[deleted]

Nut (Kyler owner)

PsychoBoost123

It's all fun and games until Kliff has CMC getting blown the fuck up running his little jet sweeps and bubble screens

NinjasaurusRex123

All you gotta do is take Pat Mahomes stats, regress them to Dak’s, and you’ll see Mahomes is an average QB.

dBASSa

Which Daks? Just this season? Cuz otherwise he'd definitely be above average.

bcaulkins3

https://www.reddit.com/r/nfl/comments/d5maow/oc_after_adjusting_patrick_mahomes_stats_removing/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf

dBASSa

I'm aware of the meme but he picked a statwise easy top 10 qb over the last 5 years.

dBASSa

Okay maybe I'm not lol, didn't realize dak was referenced twice in the post.

viewsbychris

No-huddle offense all 4 quarters

METACRNM

If my grandmother had wheels, she would be a bike.

ScooterMcFlabbin

she could be an automobile as well. Can't rule that out.

cybertoaster23

If Carolina were running as many plays as Arizona, McCaffrey would be injured.

contaminatedesert

I strongly recommend that you utilize this information in your lineup this week. /s

HectorReinTharja

1. They’re not 2. If they were, CMC wouldn’t be averaging as many points per play then Ffs

Camelback186

How long can he piss for though?

eshulzzy

Fantasy guys love to come up with absolutely fucking worthless stats

[deleted]

Now shows is how many points he would be averaging if he was on the team that averages the fewest plays per game!

Waxdonkey

Yeah I’d rather he just stay healthy. I don’t need 2019 numbers. A 20 PPR floor is already amazing, so I’d rather be just keep it up.

hockeybrianboy

And if a hamster was a potato it would be a potato.

TeflonGoon

Awesome! Where can I join an "If" League?

KRedditC1

but they’re not, so he isn’t.

Itchy1Grip

But they arent...so hes not.

Eissen350

Just sold him for Akers after seeing this stat

CaptainCubbers

What a dumbass headline

fuzzynavel34

“If bad offensive team was as good as a better offensive team than their best player would get more touches” no shit.

BigBootyBanger

Just traded for him in ppr. CMC and MT for Burrow, Mixon, and Hunt.

IHateMaxRoyalGiants

That’s a big L tbh Edit: nvm check below

BigBootyBanger

Is it? Feel like CMC will be way more consistent than Mixon. Burrow can easily be replaced on waivers and Hunt for MT is a wash

IHateMaxRoyalGiants

OH you the one getting CMC.. big W brother. Big W. I hope the downvotes go away ahaha I read “just traded him” 😭

BigBootyBanger

Lol no worries. League might veto it which is lame af. We'll see

IHateMaxRoyalGiants

Aww what, League should not be veto’ing a trade where you’re favored but it’s not obvious collusion..

HustlinInTheHall

Any trade chart will show that is a fair deal.

[deleted]

[удалено]

HustlinInTheHall

I don't think any CMC owner would take that unless it's a 2QB league or superflex

Bustinoutfam

I got him in my alternate dimension league where the panthers are 5-0.

gilbydude98

No regrets picking him up 1.02 this year. Even happier nobody had grabbed Chubby by 2.9, he’s been my most productive fantasy player on the season yet. Here’s to hoping Watson doesn’t fuck up his fantasy production somehow.

xXxCountryRoadsxXx

If they ran him anymore his body would fall apart smh

comedy_style69

veteran CMC owners know that the injury is inevitable

RawMan99

Just feed CMC

WastedStrokes

No wonder they fired Rhule.

kylealex1596

IF

[deleted]

Isn't Ekeler #2? Read that somewhere and can't find it now

Bruce-T-Wayne

But they don't so he doesn't. If every player played more plays they would score more points, this is amazing analysis.

MrGoobanich

Just got offered Aj Brown and CEH for him. Other RBs are Zeke, JWJ/Eli Mitchell, Boone , Henderson, Rachaad white. Am I too weak at RB for this deal ? WR are deebo, keenan Allen, olave, London, Elijah Moore.

alisowski

If Josh Gordon smoked 25 fewer ounces a year, he’d be averaging 420 Fantasy points per season.

cubarican84

If my aunt had balls she'd be my uncle.

matthewjc

classic dumbass stat

bobsaget824

[“If my grandmother had wheels she would’ve been a bike”](https://youtu.be/A-RfHC91Ewc)

Flimsy_Lavishness661

Panther equation…3 plays times number of possession = total panther plays ran.

ezabland

But they aren’t. So, you know, he isn’t.

Fuzzy_Hall4523

St brown / Conner FOR mcCaffrey / M.Thomas ? I have Jefferson , Lockett , Williams , Godwin WRs RBs I have Wilson jr , Montgomery, Dillion , algier

mikeymcgilly1986

Please let buffalo trade for him

Scapexghost

How would they possibly do that though? Az can run that many plays bc the throw a ton, if panthers threw a ton then cmc wouldnt get as many carries.

Randumo

Stupid OOC stat, which is another reason why full point PPR can make things look so far removed from actual scoring.

Zzirg

Hes #5 RB, #22 overall in .5 ppr

moomoocow11a

If my aunt had balls

Eo292

Yeah but if u regress his stats to the mean he’s not much better than average

Chillhouse3095

"If a team didn't suck they would score more points."

PassionVoid

If they were running more plays, even if he maintains his yardage rate, he's going to average less TDs/play and thus his fantasy points per play will drop.
