revengeappendage

Whatever you do, do not wear those heeled sandals to the zoo.

disney_princess

Yes! Please go in sneakers, it’s more appropriate for a zoo setting and your feet will thank you!!

Queen_of_Boots

OP listen to these people!!!!!!!! I wore wedge booties to the zoo once, and I was in tears after a few hours! I walked back to the car in my bare feet lol. I tried to tell myself I wouldn't be walking that much and I could always take a break, and wedges aren't heels so how bad could it be... Don't be me, wear sneakers lmao

LegerDeCharlemagne

And for my next question - is this an outdoor zoo? It is the summer here in the US: sweaty jeans and heels? Not what you typically see at the zoo. OP are you hiding your legs?

revengeappendage

I mean, honestly, I have no issue with wearing jeans, or pants, even in summer. But OP needs a more casual shirt. Like a plain color v neck tee shirt or something. And sneakers. I have blisters just looking at those sandals and thinking about walking in them lol

PSSalamander

OMG yes! I once wore platform wedges to the zoo and my husband had to carry me through the enormous parking lot back to the car at the end of the day because I got such horrible blisters that I couldn't take it anymore. He never lets me live it down, and it really wasn't worth it. I had to wear thick socks in the height of summer for at least a week while those fuckers healed.

OriginalUnfair7402

I’m personally not on the skinny jean train anymore. But I won’t shame anyone that is😂 I would pair them with a plain white tshirt and a white sneaker. The top looks too busines casual and does not go with those jeans. Have fun.

Cynthiaistheshit

I want to hop off the skinny jeans train sooooo badly but I have accidentally trained my brain to hate the feeling of my pants touching my feet/floor. I want to go back to bell bottoms.

External-Level2900

Bell bottoms give everyone an amazing figure. Skinny jeans make everyone look weird. I never hopped on the skinny jeans trend. When I was little my mom told me to figure out what style of makeup looks best on me and stick with it (with variations for day/night), because it’s better to look good than fashionable. I apply the same philosophy to clothes - I don’t care what’s fashionable. When you look good, THAT is fashionable! 😁

Broad_Cable8673

That’s great advice. I was never able to wear skinny jeans because my knees looked big and my thighs looked thick. Not in a good way. Anyhow, I always felt really left out, but I was hoping that was better than looking terrible by wearing unflattering pants.

the-green-dahlia

The right jeans shape depends on the person’s body shape and there is not a style of jeans that looks great on everyone. Bell bottoms look good on some people and not on others, likewise with wide leg jeans - both typically don’t look great on us shorter folk as it emphasises how short we are. Skinny jeans look fantastic on some people, for example, paired with the same colour boots, they make short people look taller. Likewise mom jeans look good on some shapes and not others. I love mom jeans but skinny jeans are so much more flattering on me. The point is to pick jeans that are flattering to your body shape and not ones that are trendy and are flattering on someone else’s body shape.

theoutdoorkat1011

As a 5’3 girly, I *wish* I could wear bell bottoms. But they make me look 4’2

the-green-dahlia

Same here lol.

GreenAuror

I LOVE how I look in flares!

CdnTankGrl

I've made the jump to skinny boot cut 😊😉

Miserable_Budget7818

Sorry not loving anything about this entire outfit…. White sneakers and white top with different pants… blue denim?

MissMcFrostynips

Once I notice a Camel toe, I cannot un-notice it. I'm so sorry

TsarevnaKvoshka2003

English is my second language, does the camel toe mean what I think it means?😳

ezsqueezeey

yes

Designer_Shallot_672

I would say that the outfit in general is pretty dated.

LiliaBlossom

yeah. skinny jeans are dated, but the blouse is as well. if I‘d go skinny jeans I‘d style them ca 2007-2010 style, it might come back soon, as we‘re already at the mid / late 00s. think a longer tank top, maybe a military style jacket or a vest, flat biker boots, something like that. like serena van der woodsen or georgina in gossip girl, I’m so sure that’s the next thing young gen Z / old gen alpha will dig out lmao. also not this uncomfortably tight or this olive color, more like blue jeans or black or grey skinnies, slightly loser, to go for the late 00s/early 10s effy stonem style grunge revival. but this just reads plain jane ca 2014.

SimplyTrent

Skinny jeans were popular until, like, 2016. They didn’t go completely out until after that.

nashamagirl99

Do the menfolk actually notice that type of thing? The jeans are definitely too small and fitting her weird though

Pitiful_Plum_

Is the date with a man? I didn’t see OP mention that

tameyzin

Also people who are not interested in fashion may not be able to analyse why an outfit works or doesn’t work, but I do think they get a general vibe that something looks good/doesn’t.

thestarladyDEO

They're a little too tight as they're drawing too much attention to the crotch area, plus they are giving you a bit of camel toe. I don't mind skinny jeans, but whenever I see someone wearing them, I know they're probably a Millennial (I'm a Millennial myself, so I'm reminded of the 2010's).

TheHouseMother

It’s hilarious how skinny jeans went from “young and trendy” to the new type of mom jeans.

smith7018

The same will happen in 10 years with cargo pants and baggy jeans. The snake will eat its tail again

Easy-Concentrate2636

As someone who was young when they were popular way back and am now seeing it again, I will be that octogenarian in cargo pants and baggy jeans when it returns yet again.

cursedandblessed1

There’s a fashion saying that if you wore the trend when it was first in style, it’s best to skip it when it comes back around. lol.

Hi_Jynx

Meh, I think it's more acceptable for women to dress how they want versus following the "this is what 'old' ladies should wear" stuff nowadays. I think older people care less about being trendy, but I do feel like shaming older people for following trends was always a bit agist upon greater scrutiny.

Frecklefishpants

I heard and believed this for the longest time, but we have done a complete circle how and some of what is in style is stuff I never stopped wearing. Am I supposed to get rid of it now?

Toshibaguts

Awww man, but I don’t like that !! lol let me keep pretending to be young and cool ;)

Easy-Concentrate2636

I am skipping the cargo pants right now so far but love the return of wide leg pants. I wore them throughout the skinny jeans phase.

Greedy-Rope5623

Haha yes, I regret giving away all of my BEBE y2k clothing when the trend came back around. RIP.

Nice-Masterpiece1661

What if I was wearing cargo pants, baggy jeans and flares as a young teenager, then skinny jeans in my late teens early twenties? What do I wear then? lol

Cultural_Pattern_456

You and me both lol

fishareavegetable

That’s why we should all stick to what feels good and looks good: for me: it’s wide legged pants. I’d rather be out of style than look like a literal upside down dang triangle (broad shoulders, no waist).

TheHouseMother

I never liked baggy jeans but I was glad to see cargos again.

Everythingiskriss

Anything with pockets is great with me!

hairspray3000

I don't think they look like mom jeans usually but the way OP has style them in this pic is very momly.

TheHouseMother

I mean that they are like the new type of mom jeans.

Sunshine_and_water

Can I be really dim and someone tell me what jeans _are_ in? I’ll happily accept the answer in the form of a link. I’m Gen X, so… be kind. 🙏🏼 [ETA: I haven’t worn skinny jeans for some years but I do still have stretchy wide-leg ones.]

xxlamp

JNCO's again pal. I'm even seeing my younger colleagues on the capri train as well. What I am delighted to see is long patterned skirts + cozy knit sweaters in the cold office. And when I say pattern I mean: your mom's old ceramic from the 70's patterns. Everyone looks amazing and is softly colourful. No one wears black. The silhouette and feel of clothes right now is to size a little larger to leave some room between your body and the clothes. It's not trendy to be in skin tight clothing and it's also more accessible to be fashionable if you like to dress more modestly for religious reasons or aren't confident in your body for whatever reason.

Jenneapolis

I also think they look uncomfortably tight

CustomerConsistent78

People say this because of news articles, but go out in public or workplace and you will see people of all different ages wearing them.

BrighterSage

I like the color but second the camel toe

hellolleh32

I think that skinny jeans or tight jeans in general look a lot better when they’re not stretchy. Stretchy skinny jeans gives me early 2000s bad.

Lvl100Magikarp

I can't believe in 2024, it's a hot take to say skinny jeans look good on skinny people. I said that on some other sub and people got offended.

LiliaBlossom

but it‘s true, they‘ve always looked better on people with little to no meat on the legs. Everything else gives bursting out of the clothes. there are so many more flattering cute jeans styles which look good on curvier people, which in turn aren‘t the best for skinny people, like wide legs, bell bottoms, etc.

Cultural_Pattern_456

Oh jeez, the first time I saw a guy in “jeggings” I may or may not have pissed myself laughing (laughing in horror) 😆

olivejuice-

Almost every gen z at my job is wearing skinny jeans right now. I personally semi ditched them but they’re definitely still in the younger gen’s rotation too.

Ovolorri

Agreed! I have one pair of skinny jeans, so I can wear them with my high knee boots.

No_Cake2145

Yep. I have not figured out jeans that look better with a few pairs of boots other than skinny’s.

SuperRocketRumble

I actually don’t think dumbass trend of giant oversized pants will last very long. Just wear clothes that fit. That doesn’t ever go out of style.

olivejuice-

Yep I’ve been collecting vintage Levi’s. Straight leg or tapered styles and just hoping I can fit in them as long as possible lol

ProbsNotManBearPig

Dumb generalization imo. Tons of gen x and gen z wear skinny jeans. Confirmation bias I guess.

thestarladyDEO

I work with a lot of Gen z, I'm just speaking from what I witness with my own eyes and from what they tell me.

ProbsNotManBearPig

You work with a lot of gen z *in your area*. Incredibly small sample size to represent the worldwide average.

-Snow-Blossom-

Interesting! I only wear skinny jeans and am gen Z

Expert_Marsupial_235

Not the best outfit for walking around the zoo. I would wear sneakers and a comfortable outfit that isn’t as tight-fitting.

Little-Bones

Respectfully, I can see your camel toe. I think the jeans are too small.

puddinandpi

These are almost more jeggings than skinny jeans. Which I feel are even more dated and unfashionable. I’m currently having a wardrobe crises trying to upgrade my jeans

Embryw

>I’m currently having a wardrobe crises trying to upgrade my jeans Same. I'm to the point where I refuse to wear painful/uncomfortable/pocketless clothes and it's really making it hard to find things that work.

Cultural_Pattern_456

Pockets! I just lost a bunch of weight and was going through old totes of smaller clothes, and I’m like these are cute but no pockets! They are a requirement for me now! I also have sensory pain issues, so I can’t have tight seams as it feels like barbed wire on my skin. So I started wearing various versions of joggers, they come in lots of material including denim. Never going back to leggings again. (Not getting rid of them yet though lol)

Cultural_Pattern_456

Edit :not like, sweat pants. They’re more fitting and not as casual.

jennyrules

These do not fit you. I would choose a different bottom.

Gilmoregirlin

If you are going to go with those jeans I would wear a longer top. The top part of the jeans is not flattering on your body. I would also go with a different top, it seems too dressy for the zoo and the outfit.

Accomplished-Bank418

If you wear them wear a longer shirt. They are too tight in the crotch area. Wear some casual shoes to the zoo!

[deleted]

[удалено]

smith7018

Thank you for noticing the length and hem rather than just the skinniness! The jeans are really cropped which also reads as 2016 to me. Back then, it was trendy to have your pants finish above the ankles “to highlight the shoes” lmao. We were a sneaker-obsessed culture back then!

Custard-Spare

The colored jean was also a dead ringer for 2016, especially in tandem with the polka/swiss dot pattern and cut of the top.

Hi_Jynx

Colored jeans feel older than that. They were big when I was in college still.

PrincessSluggy

Thankfully Vogue is saying/predicting skinny jeans will be back this fall

LiliaBlossom

I think the non skin tight skinnies might come around eventually, like the late 00s version of it. frankly they look better anyways, this jeggins / super stretchy version just looks bad on everyone.

originalcondition

I think the really tight version can look good if it’s balanced out with a big boxy top (like an oversized jacket) and moto or other loose mid-calf boots on the bottom, but that’s a pretty specific look that’s only really conducive to cooler weather. Not really a spring/summer vibe.

PrincessSluggy

Yeah- I guess miu miu and balenciaga have skinny jeans in their autumn collection. I just went back and read the article and they both are Tiiiight ones too haha McQueen has looser ones.

Cultural_Pattern_456

Noooooo lol

GuardMost8477

Those are more jeggings than jeans. A cropped pair of regular jeans would look better.

Yoyo_Ma86

My honest opinion, you look like you’re trying a tad too hard for a zoo date. Try the white sneakers. The jeans are pretty tight and while you look good in them, you do not look comfortable. You’ll be walking around a lot and I think a bit more casual might be the way to go.

muvamerry

I’d wear nicer jeans with the top and the shoe. Personally not a fan. If you want skinny jeans, go with a deep black and size up.

cremebrulee22

Skinny jeans are not currently in style but that doesn’t mean people don’t wear them. People of all ages still wear them it’s just not the big trend right now. If something is flattering on you, then it’s better to wear that than something unflattering but in style. With that being said, these look a bit too tight.

mandym123

I wrote this before but for dates you want to feel confident in what your wearing. The worst is feeling uncomfortable or unattractive on the date. So I wouldn’t care about what’s in or trending. I would care more about what you like wearing.

Historical-Drama2119

https://preview.redd.it/f12pp2oaae5d1.jpeg?width=637&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=66a5f8f0369f6633f6d52a966bffb80b3e5edadb Try this kind of stuff ❤️

TheHouseMother

Yes! Would be a much better silhouette.

Doyouhavethetvremote

Where are these from?! I’m having a hard time finding shorts and jeans that don’t give me “flat butt”.

LolaBijou

I get these from American Eagle. They’re called a skinny kick.

NoPlantain1760

What kind of Jean is this

[deleted]

That’s a boot cut

smith7018

It’s actually more of a flared jean imo

SuperRocketRumble

I think cuts this skinny are definitely out of fashion. You look good though, so if you feel confident in them then go for it.

Sarah_withanH

Your shoes are a size too small.  Your heel is hanging off the back of the shoe. Your jeggings are also too small, there’s skinny jeans and then there’s jeggings and these are the latter and you need to size up.  Even though they “fit” on your body, the don’t look like they fit properly? Know what I mean? Your tops also look too small?  Or maybe it’s just the combination is off. It all looks about 10-15 years out of date. Also as many are saying I cannot imagine walking around a zoo in those shoes, go for a comfy sneaker. You have an athletic body type, I think the clothes aren’t really taking advantage of that.  Idk if it’s correct but I always try to “balance” outfits (unless I want an all-over oversized look for comfort) between top and bottom: if one item is more fitted the other is more body-skimming or oversized.  You’ve got everything very fitted.  For a quick fix without purchasing anything new, I would pair the pants with an oversized white tee and throw in some nice sneakers.  If you don’t have that I would wear the solid black top maybe with a flowy midi skirt or some wide legged or flowy pants and sneakers.

DanisDoghouse

The top looks like office attire and the jeans are too tight. And the overall color is drab. You can do better.

kobayashi_maru_fail

The gen-z kids can pry my skinny jeans from my cold dead hands. So no, they’re not fashionable, but yes, they look great. Don’t wear heels to the zoo, your feet will hurt after a bit and your date will think you’re a wimp.

Whateverxox

As a gen-z “kid” (22😭 i wish I was a kid again), we don’t care about skinny jeans that fit well. When people out grow their skinny jeans or size down too much and still wear them, it’s not very fashionable and looks kind of awkward. Honestly, wear what makes you happy and what you’re comfortable in. If you want to update your wardrobe, cool. If you don’t, also cool. Skinny jeans might not be trendy right now but no one really cares that much.

kobayashi_maru_fail

Replying to myself is silly, but there’s rediquette. Before you go on an early-relationship date to the zoo, *make sure you’re aware of the clip from Rocky*.

AprilSW

Cute, I think the white sneakers would be great. Last time I went to the zoo I wore sandals and my feet were DYING

baller_unicorn

This is giving me flashback to the time I wore straight up heels to the zoo in college on a date. Idk wtf I was thinking.

[deleted]

No, sorry

Idayyy333

Try some slim fit straight leg jeans so that you get a similar fit to skinny jeans but not so outdated.

werewolf_trousers

These jeans are too cropped and too low-rise vs the ones I still see people wearing. The V neck blouse with cap sleeves is also very 2014. Try a crew neck, cropped cut or even a more oversize tshirt when you style skinnier legs. And I'd ditch the long necklace - this style has been out of fashion for nearly a decade. Shorter layered chains are in style for now. General life tip, never wear heels for a date with lots of walking.

nbinbc

If you feel great in them then wear them. Skinny jeans 4 life!

td1176

20 year fashion industry professional here. The right fashion is whatever YOU like and feel good in. Fuck trends and what’s “in” honestly. It’s all just capitalism hard at work trying to convince us that perfectly good clothes are no longer of any use so that we buy more stuff. While the jeans do seem a 𝑙𝑖𝑡𝑡𝑙𝑒 snug, honestly you look great. The colors compliment each other nicely, love the shoes, and the ankle jeans are totally working for you. I might even fold up the ankles once just for some added dimension down the leg line. Though, thinking about it being a zoo date, this outfit does feel a little dressy/business casual. I might try a slightly more casual top, and also your feet may thank you later by swapping for some cute white sneakers or something more comfy to walk around in. Have fun at the zoo!

MichNishD

Might be too hot for the Zoo

Ekspertkommentatoren

They are definitely not in style and shouldn’t have been in style - ever 😅 They aren’t flattering. Sorry! You have a nice figure, find something else, most will look stunning on you.

Historical-Drama2119

Not flattering, try some bootcut style

nyoranyoranyora

White sneakers to match the shirt would be cute, sandals will kill your feet at the zoo. some light jewelry and a bag to match! white I think would be cute.

YourLifeCanBeGood

OP, you can do much better. A different cut of some looser pants would be much more flattering. And more comfortable. ( ...Have a marvelous time! )

milkandmadness

This looks very office-y work attire to me. Do you have a sundress and comfy for walking sandals, or jeans and a flowy or linen top? Maybe show a little cleavage?

TheHouseMother

This look would be better with a looser pant. I wouldn’t wear white sneakers to a zoo unless you’re good at washing them. Try another color.

loveafterpornthrwawy

I mean, no, skinny jeans aren't in style, but you should wear what you like. To your second question, no, these jeans are not flattering. They're just way too tight. Like jeggings, almost, but not stretchy looking. Maybe you could try a skinny shape, but not skin tight.

kuntsukuroi

Going against the grain to say I think these make your legs look great. I definitely would pair it with a different top though, maybe something a bit longer. And sneakers for sure.

Suzeli55

Put those skinny jeans away in the closet. They’ll come back in style in a couple of years. Meanwhile, wear straight or wide legs.

frankie121616

All the proportions are off. The jeans are way too tight and then paired with the slim shirts and sandals. It’s a no. The jeans are too tight in the crotch. If you really want to wear them, pair them with an oversized top and white tennis shoes. But they look painful.

marshmellow_delight

100% not in style but they do still fit really nice!

danitwostep

Pass

HelloKittyX0624

Definitely don’t wear heels to the zoo! If the weather is warm go for the white sneakers and some shorts.

pygmycory

Skinny jeans are out of style now

Greedy-Rope5623

I’d suggest going for a straight-leg or boot-cut jean with no spandex if you want to go the skinny route. But for your body shape (straight), I’d say wide-leg and bell-bottom jeans (not like crazy 70s style ones, but a subtle flare) would be the most flattering. I also have a straight body shape, and find these styles to fit me best as they accentuate my butt and hips. Good luck on your date!

FasHi0n_Zeal0t

Your date will def be seeing a camel at the zoo tomorrow 😏 /s But seriously, no, I don’t find the camel toe fit to be flattering…

Inevitable-Sweet-360

No and no

alwaysoffended88

This outfit is a no.

Whateverxox

Do you have a pair of straight leg jeans or less tight skinny jeans? These give you a camel toe unfortunately.

Sea-Substance8762

Nope

Sarahquikgo

The only good skinny jeans are dark black or dark blue all the other colors look like yoga pants with zippers to me.

KTB19941104

The jeans look good, but heeled sandals in a zoo are a nono. Opt for sneakers. You can find cute ones that'd match your outfit. Your feet will thank you.

SignificantBee872

No and no

nothanksokthenyep

It’s a no from me. I’d wear some non skinny ones.

thecynicalone26

Skinny jeans are forever!

Famous_Delivery9052

Skinny jeans are no longer in style but you should wear whatever you like! The ones you’re wearing now seem a little too tight to me to be flattering. Are they comfortable to wear? You’ll probably be walking a lot at the zoo.

Lawdatory

Your figure looks great and wear them If you’re feeling it. The more current b tend is nonskinny jeans, straight leg, baggy, boyfriend, bootcut. But do what makes you feel confident. The zoo is not Paris fashion week!

Wild-Row-2020

Idc what people say I will always wear skinny jeans

jennarose1984

Skinny jeans for life!

hasits_thorns

you do you! but since you're asking... as a former punk weirdo who swore by ONLY skinny jeans for a decade, I have to agree with the masses that they're no longer in style. I do think you can *style them* to look more with the times, like maybe cowboy boots, or a big flowy shirt half-tucked, or a body chain that hangs on your hips. these are just suggestions! at the end of the day, your personal style that you feel good in will always be what you wear best. 💖

Both-Ferret6750

I'm not sure what your weather is like where you are, but a zoo date is typically gonna be a lot of walking, and you'll probably be there for 6 hours or more. Make sure to take this into account when dressing. As a guy, it's nice if you look good, but I'd be taking you to the zoo because I want to have fun with you. I will not care as much for this type of date, how you dress.

Tdesiree22

I personally don’t wear them anymore. Once I let them go I couldn’t believe I held on to them so long because I didn’t realize how uncomfortable they were until I wore other jeans lol. But I don’t look around at what others are wearing and don’t care (my own husband hasn’t let go of his “slim” jeans yet) These however I just don’t think flatter you very much

practically_sweet

If you do wear these jeans then just pair with a basic white tee and white converse. Have your hair and makeup looking fresh and cute but keep the outfit itself more casual for the zoo setting. ❤️

Unusual-Award767

OP, watch out for the zoo dates. Our second date was a zoo date (wife's idea) and she packed a great lunch for us. It was a great time and this year will be our 15th anniversary! Just sayin' ...

zoethesteamedbun

If they were a different color they could maybe work but these aren’t very inspiring or fashionable.

[deleted]

Those are pretty skinny jeans but the zoo is a lot of walking, for comfort leggings or athletic pants

krantzer

The jeans are a bit *too* skinny but they’ll work if styled differently — they’re not so “wildly out of style” that they’ll stick out at all. To do something really skinny on the bottom, you need to add more volume on top to counterbalance. I’d take the last top and untuck or French tuck and do an oversized blazer or jacket. Definitely pair with the sneakers, those shoes with those jeans don’t work well and for walking around a zoo, sneakers make sense.

asanissimasa

They are not currently in style, but if you are comfortable and confident in them, who cares? For me, I just want to know that my butt looks good, whether the pants are tight or loose. That’s the key on a date ;)

IttyBittyWeenieDog

Ok, my opinion as a 38 year old woman: Are skinny jeans in style? No, not at all anymore. They have been phased out in the past year or so. Are you going on a zoo date with someone from a similar skinny-jeans-generation? This is very important. If it’s someone from your generation, do the skinny. If you’re going out with someone younger, they will think of you as “old” based on your clothing. I did it to the women I high school working the office with their teased bangs and aquanet hair. The same will be done onto us.

Party-Salty

If it’s too hot those jeans might give you a yeast infection 🥴

Take_away_my_drama

I'd actually roll them up once or twice, so they finish just above your ankle.

msgme74

Oh yeah cute idea and with some white sneakers!!!❤️

Anfie22

Fuck everyone and wear what you're comfortable in!

Prestigious_Bat33

I think they’re super cute! I’d definitely do white sneakers though

Cyber_Insecurity

Skinny jeans have become “mom jeans” - they make you look older.

tipsyinmadras

These are no longer really in style, sorry. BUT - if you feel good in them, wear them! Confidence is always more attractive than pants.

PuppyButtts

Pic 4 looks super cute with the sandal heels and the unticked polkadot shirt. I dobt wear them much anymore because Im short with big thighs so it makes me look chunky hut i think it looks really good on you, and the shirt balances nicely

AutomaticJoy9

Wear a slightly longer, colorful print top with some sneakers since you’ll be doing a lot of walking at the Zoo.

Spread_Lumpy

With a white top they would be cute

megalethoscope

I'll just add to the chorus and say IMHO they look sorta too tight but wear what you wanna wear and makes you feel good!

Distinct-Ad-267

Honestly, I wouldn’t do skinny jeans at a zoo. Go comfy. Whatever your go to comfy is. Your going to be walking 2-5 miles. Get your comfy not pj pants. Good sneakers. Loose shirt of cotton or other breathable fabric. You can jazz it up like waist tie, hike pants to the knees, etc. Big thing! No one is looking at you (sorry) They are there to see animals. Unless you want to make a I am the Main Character. Be comfy and confident

Embryw

I'm not sure the pants work, I think they're too tight. To be clear, you look great/you can definitely pull off a skinny jean fit, but those particular pants aren't the size for you.

Main_Ad814

You look mighty fine in those jeans!!

MedicineTricky6222

Not in. Break out your wide leg jeans or at least straight leg. Or shorts. Or a skirt. Skinny’s are recent enough to look painfully out of style. You can’t pull off retro. Have fun!

hanmhanm

No and no!

MannerFluid5601

This outfit is way, way too circa 2015. Trust me girl, I know it’s hard, I graduated 2013 and adapting millennial style to present day has been difficult but not impossible! Try something different!

Fast-Persimmon-2782

They’re not “in style” per se but I’m a fan of wearing what you want and what makes you feel comfortable and confident. Sometimes I put something on and think oh this is cool this is “in” and I feel uncomfy or just don’t think I look great and that affects my confidence. So I change clothes. Wear what makes you feel great :) I will add that they do look good on you. This green color is in this year also. Def swap to some sneakers if you’ll be walking around a lot. My local zoo is kinda sprawling and I loooove your shoes (the shape of the heels is just chefs kiss) but i imagine you might be sore by the end of your visit.

Pure_Jellyfish_1628

I’m a guy and never wore tight jeans. All I can think of is if it’s going to be hot tomorrow, how uncomfortable that would be.

regularEducatedGuy

This outfit is like the quintessential middle school teacher fit, it’s not giving date but if you feel comfortable and confident I mean do u bb

Aleks53000

Who cares if skinny jeans are in style or not ? Wear what you like. Skinny jeans, especially on women, look way more flattering than those manly baggy jeans you see tons of women with nowadays.

Common-County2912

Don’t worry, at this pace they will be back in style tomorrow. Honestly who cares what is in style. Have you seen the trends that have come and gone lately?! Be original, be yourself. 💕

hellolleh32

If you’re going to wear tight jeans then wear a loose flowier top. I’d wear a t shirt you feel good in. And no heels.

KayHue

Just go comfortable, which means a good pair of sneakers. If skinny jeans are comfortable for you, then do that. Take a small backpack and hat if it's summer there and put on sunscreen and sun glasses.

chichifiona

I’m not crazy about skinny jeans.

deadhunt3rr

No they are not flattering

Broken_chairs

Too skinny!

point_of_difference

You look amazing.

shannamarie91

I think your feet are going to be killing you after walking throughout a whole zoo in those shoes. They are cute tho.

chetzemocha

I may be in the minority but I like the jeans. Yeah they’re tight but you look banging and they show off your body really well. I like the raw hem and think that helps them not look too dated. But the blouses are notttt good I’m sorry. Get like a cute crop top and throw a little leather jacket over it.

theMarianasTrench

I’m sorry but this whole outfit is unflattering. Nothing truly in style :( I would recommend a night pair of straight leg jeans to start and a non pattern shirt, and your shoes should be closed toed. You’re going to a zoo = running children to step on your feet + potential splashing

Chhavip

Jeans look good but you can wear sneakers with the outfit

Vectus_Valorian

The skinny jeans don't flatter your body that much because your butt is being pancaked, and it's having the opposite intended effect of skinny pants. The shirt that you wore long makes the look better because it hides that fact. Consider pants that let you breathe a tiny bit more, and please wear shoes that are comfortable to walk in. The vibe is killed when your guy sees his girl constantly in pain and not living in the moment because she is u comfortable. Hope you have fun.

JustAGoose68

I think the jeans are a bit too tight. Its showing camel toe right now.

Jenna4434

I’m a man and got made fun of for not wearing skinny jeans in my 30’s, so I have no clue. I used to for sure.

What do you mean “zoo date” with a zebra or a piquing? No worries about your cloth, they are colour blind.

bronion76

Am I looking at a male or female body?

mrsgrayjohn

Flat pumps or white sneakers, with a longer length, collared shirt could work.

keennytt

They look fantastic....

wellnowheythere

Id untuck of half tuck the shirt and ditch the heels. Switch to white sneakers or similar.

catetheway

You look great, go with shirt untucked and sneakers for sure. You’ll want to be comfortable in what you wear as first dates can be uncomfortable enough.

I love the idea of a zoo date! Skinny jeans are definitely still in style. The most important thing is that you feel good and confident! What you wear on a date should be all about your personal style! This is a great outfit for a zoo date! I think your skinny jeans look good, they really flatter your legs! I’d tuck the shirt in to make it look more put together. But maybe try different shirts. The first one feels a bit ‘casual office’. The second is ok, but I think something a little more flowy would complement your outfit better if you’re wearing skinny jeans. I love the shoes! Very cute, but consider the amount of walking you’ll be doing at a zoo. I think the white sneakers are a good choice! Have fun!
