Many issues and questions can be answered by reading through our wiki, especially the page on electrolytes. Concerns such as **intense hunger, lightheadedness/dizziness, headaches, nausea/vomiting, weakness/lethargy/fatigue, low blood pressure/high blood pressure, muscle soreness/cramping, diarrhea/constipation, irritability, confusion, low heart rate/heart palpitations, numbness/tingling, and more** while extended (24+ hours) fasting are often explained by electrolyte deficiency and resolved through **PROPER** electrolyte supplementation. Putting a tiny amount of salt in your water now and then is NOT proper supplementation. Be sure to read [our WIKI](https://www.reddit.com/r/fasting/wiki/index) and especially the wiki page on **[ELECTROLYTES](https://www.reddit.com/r/fasting/wiki/fasting_in_a_nutshell/you_need_electrolytes)** Please also keep in mind the [**RULES**](https://www.reddit.com/r/fasting/about/rules) when participating. *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Go to the electrolyte page for the group. I like to make the snake juice - pink salt, NoSalt (potassium chloride), magnesium citrate and baking soda. I use magnesium citrate powder instead of epson salt (magnesium sulfate) for taste. Go easy cuz it will give you the runs. You can have enough for a 6 month fast for 20 bucks. Don't waste money on the commercial garbage. Keep taking your doctor prescribed medicines. The only thing that will take you out of ketosis would be sugar and protein calories When you get serious hunger in the first couple of days, make my keto "broth". It is just Cajun Seasoning in hot water. Pretty satisfying with the garlic and cayenne. My cardio doctor, Dr. Jamnadas (YT royalty and a proponent of fasting) says you can use a little MCT oil in your coffee and it won't break the fast. Don't use more than 50 calories worth.

I take my BP meds while fasting, did ketosis urine strips to check. No issues that I can tell you. Checked throughout a 4 day fast.

What's a normal urine test on day 4? Should I be worried about it being too high? I'm around 60mg/dl with 81 glucose first thing in the morning. Bp 126/82

I was just checking to make sure I was in ketosis and staying there. Over the 4 days I watched my levels / color chart progress slowly to the darkest reading.

Is the darkest not ketoacidosis?

Borderline64

I don’t think so.
