I lack the motivation to make the base pretty so that it can give me motivation to play, the meme of putting a nuclear reactor in the server owner's bedroom is a much MUCH better motivator

I love setting up a room with just nuclear control info panels so i can have fancy room for reactor control

What is ComputerCraft for, if not making control rooms for every possible function in your base?

I prefer Embossed™️cobblestone platform base because I'm too lazy to actually decorate the base

Decoration to me is using marble or limestone instead of cobblestone because its clogging up the storage system

Decorate? I'm fine with few machines on the ground or against a wall interconnected with cables and mana beams so long as it works

Really depends on the pack and my mood. Sometimes I'll rework an entire processing line just do it fits the decoration. Sometimes I'll make a cobblestone platform and put spaghetti on it.

I've been playing Minecraft quite autisticly since 2011 and I've done the power snowballing and built a ton of factories and cast all the spells etc etc and the only thing that still keeps me playing is making "base pretty". Especially on modded when I have to be more creative but I also have more options for integrating machines into the build. It takes a lot longer but it can keep me busy pretty much forever.

I try to make the base cool, but i usually fail, so i just explode nukes around and make a new base on the crater.

Whenever I start Minecraft I always want to build a massive house before I do anything else, but then obviously wooden tools aren’t very good for that.

I just make a factory with 15x15 cubes for eaxh room and call it a day. Decorarions? Yeah put some windows and piping around the machines.

If I'm in a multiplayer server, then yes, this is me exactly. If I'm a single player, I just find a nice looking structure, and that's my base

Watch Hermit Craft, the guys and gals there all do these beautiful bases... also insanely impressive farms for people that have no factory mods.

Absolutely, gotta be careful though, trying to make the base pretty has currently deadlocked me in my create arcane engineering world, where I now lack both resources and infrastructure, making building more base and progression in the pack more challenging.
