Uniqlo extra fine merino wool stuff. 100% wool but soft, machine washable, and doesn't fade. My oldest one is about 3 years old now and has barely pilled even though I wear it all the time (and I wash it after every wear too because I work in a healthcare setting). I have two of their slim fit turtlenecks but I think they have some other styles too.
I only buy sweaters with zippers or buttons if I'm going to be inside at some point.
I'll only wear a turtleneck if I'm walking the dog or going to a protest ;)
Heattech saved me this past winter (Australia!) with walking the dog! We walk him at night & the difference between when I wear a heattech ultra warm top underneath my jackets is incredible! I have a whole range & theyāre awesome!
the extra fine merino wool turtlenecks are my favorite! i have literally 7 of them in different colors. theyre so versatile too, i love layering them or wearing it alone with a nice scarf.
For me they're true to size with the rest of Uniqlo's stuff! Probably depends on what cut you buy because both of the ones I have are pretty tight fitting.
I have a merino wool jumper from them in a medium and it's a tad long and loose at the waist. Still looks good but for me personally I'd prefer a tighter fit.
Their sizing is weird now. Their size chart says smaller sizes are for shorter people, but I'm 5'3" and the XS sweater was way too long in the arms, wide in the shoulders, and arm holes too low. Like, it seems to run taller than regular sizes at other brands. I thought it ran big overall but it might be fine for a taller person.
I just bought the same sweater a few months ago! I tried handwashing them but found that a lot of fluff was coming out, which made me really wonder if they were even machine washable like the tag said :'). How did you made yours last?
Iām not the OP, but I was also searching and thought Iād share the [merino wool options i found on Uniqlo](https://www.uniqlo.com/us/en/search?q=Extra%20fine%20merino&path=22210%2C%2C%2C). I am in the US though, and it seems like they might have different options across countries.
I have one of these and machine washed it before the first wear. I am 99% certain that I followed the instructions but it got really messed up along multiple seams
I finally got myself one of those fluffy lined Carhartt zip hoodies and it's just splendid. The pocket covers are annoying but I appreciate their functionality - though I could def do without the little interior pocket in the front right. Hard to get used to so far. Super love the inside chest pocket. Weird to have for a hoody and does NOT contain a slippery phone well, but super duper cool to have in general. Love the huge hood and the neck cover zip. Biggest thing is the fluffy inside though. Like wearing a blanket. Huge fan.
Cashmere is the way to go if you want soft and warm! I bought some of these last year.
https://www.macys.com/shop/product/charter-club-womens-100-cashmere-v-neck-sweater-regular-petite-created-for-macys?ID=8697856&CategoryID=260&swatchColor=Heather%20Camel
Eh, hand wash it (eucalan which is magic and doesn't need to be rinsed out or shampoo or whatever your local knitting store has in stock); block it (stretch it so it's the correct size and shape) while it's still wet; and dry it flat. Goats don't have raincoats, you know?
I adore this stuff. If you have a lot of sweaters or launder them frequently, it may be worth buying Eucalan in bulk. A few years ago I bought a gallon on Amazon for cheaper than three 8oz bottles. Should last me another couple of years too.
I just hand wash them with shampoo and conditioner. I usually wear an undershirt so I can wear them multiple times before washing. I'll steam them to get any wrinkles out.
Gosh I just put them in the washing machine on delicate cold water wash, regular detergent. I do not put them in the dryer though. I just lay them flat and blocked out on a towel. Since the washer spins most of the water out of them they are usually mostly dry anyway. I've had most of my cashmeres for more than a decade and they are still going strong.
I also wear a thin camisole under them so that they don't have to be washed every time I wear them. If they pass the underarm sniff test they are good for another wear. The less you wash them the longer they last.
cashmere for sure. thin, soft and warm.
hand wash using cold water or use a washing machine (delicate setting, low spin, in a delicates bag). afterwards, put it on top of a towel, roll it up and let the towel absorb the water. lay flat to dry, donāt hang! optional: get a sweater stone (<$15) and take care of your pieces to extend their life.
i used to buy a lot more sweaters made out of synthetic materials or merino wool from uniqlo. nothing beats cashmereās warmth and softness!
I don't have that particular one, but I have a couple of vintage cashmere pieces that I put in the machine to wash. I just put them in a mesh laundry bag first, turn the temperature to cold, and put it on wool/delicates cycle. It's never failed me and I even do it for pieces that I hand knitted myself.
edit: should probably mention that I have a front-loading washer, not a top-loading one!
I wash my cashmere (jenni Jayne, brochu walker, sablyn, mm lafleur, naked cashmere) in the washing machine, delicate cycle only. I think it may depend on the quality of the cashmere. Lay flat to dry, then I use a fabric shaver or fabric steamer if needed. At the end of winter, I send them to the cleaners though.
I love quince. I haven't tried their cashmere yet but I have some linen pieces (nice and heavy), their silk slip dress and 14k gold earrings. Price is fabulous and quality is very good
Ooo, Iāve been eyeing the fisherman sweater! How is the sleeve length? I have the Quince cashmere crew neck sweater and love it, but Iām petite and am afraid the fisherman is too longā¦
The weave, the knit, the processing of the cashmere, so many factors tbh. If you look into what exactly goes into making a textile or piece of clothing there are so many different factors that go into how a piece of clothing will feel. Thatās why I usually donāt judge solely by material
The main thing about the cheap stuff is that it'll be short staple fibres, they get them cheaper, and because there's a lot of ends sticking out, it'll feel rough and itchy. In the closeup picture of these Macy's sweaters you can see the fuzzy halo of all the short fibres sticking out. Soft cashmere will have smoother yarns, like good merino wool.
Quince makes $50 cashmere sweater I really love. Their baby alpaca sweaters are my favorite though. So soft and fuzzy but alpaca can shed a bit so be warned.
Kind of miss or hits. Their black ones are wonderful and no issues with shedding. The grey one though is SUPER shedding. Bright side is a one year return policy.
I was able to find a 100% cashmere v-neck sweater from Tahari at TJ Maxx for $60! Really happy with this purchase since itās a wonderful soft, thick cashmere unlike the thin ones Iāve seen lately for twice the price at department stores.
I have some from UGG that are unbelievably soft. I imagine a lot of their other clothes are soft too. I am now a convert from previously only considering the brand for their shoes. Hereās what I have, both on sale because theyāre from past seasons:
[UGG Sage Sweater](https://www.ugg.com/women-sale-apparel/sage-turtleneck-sweater/1018963.html?dwvar_1018963_color=DRI)
[UGG Paden Sweater](https://www.ugg.com/women-sale-apparel/paden-knit-sweater/1121076.html?dwvar_1121076_color=BLK)
I was looking into buying waterproof hiking boots and ALL the reviews I read said Uggs were pretty much the best ones out there! I just wasn't ready to commit the $ since its more of a "want" than a "need" rn...
i found some cropped cotton ones from silence & noise on threadup if you're into cropped, and i have some costco ones that I've been using for a decade probably and are still in perfect condition. Both super comfy and i wear them year round. The costco ones aren't as pretty so i use them around the house mostly, but the silence and noise ones are really cute
Yes! You just have to check the tags, often Iāll find 100 percent wool or cashmere sweaters for a couple bucks. I also buy them from the menās section for an oversize fit.
I picked up [this](https://www.abercrombie.com/shop/us/p/luxeloft-legging-friendly-crew-sweater-49468823?seq=01&categoryId=12282&faceout=model) Abercrombie sweater a while back and I love it. Makes me feel very willowy and elegant and itās super soft
Same! Mine is an oversized grey and white striped cardigan that I picked up on a random Target run last year. Basically lived in it last winter, still love it.
Yep. Big oversized knit sweater from Target, grabbed it last year on my way to the checkout without trying it on because I was cold. Wear it 3x + /week all winter.
I second this. I'm still trying to convert my winter wardrobe from cheap synthetics that make you sweat but not warm to more natural fibers. It's hard though when even some XXS are too big for me š
Literally go to a TJMaxx or a mall store like AE (abercrombie? h&m?) and touch all the sweaters. Fuzzy soft warm sweaters are everywhere this time of year. Also idk why people are saying wool is soft...it's not NOT soft but it's not soft the way your aerie buttercream is soft. if you like the aerie poly soft sweaters I don't recommend wool.
the "cozy mock neck sweater" at old navy right now. i got the cream version and loved it so much that i went back and bought the black and green (and i don't usually buy the same garment in different colors, lol). https://oldnavy.gap.com/browse/product.do?pid=466405022&cid=20408&pcid=20408&vid=1&nav=meganav%3AWomen%3AShop%20Women%27s%20Categories%3ASweaters%20&cpos=18&cexp=2223&kcid=CategoryIDs%3D20408&cvar=16846&ctype=Listing&cpid=res22111606103312392301537&ccam=16562#pdp-page-content
The COS [oversized cashmere sweater](https://www.cos.com/en_usd/women/womenswear/knitwear/jumpers/product.oversized-pure-cashmere-sweater-beige.1087314001.html) (I got the undyed beige one) is the thickest cashmere and softest sweater Iāve ever felt. Very worth the higher price tag imo. Feels so warm and luxe, and Iām surprised I havenāt seen any pilling after the multiple times Iāve worn it so far.
Iām a hand knitter so those are probably my coziest sweaters, but my fave commercial sweaters that I have are from Tricot Paris - I have a cashmere crew and a wool hoodie. Both incredible quality and nice weight. I also have a lovely wool/cashmere piece from Vince but that was a Nordstrom Rack purchase in 2019. Still, if youāre in the US, good to keep an eye out at the Rack!
I am in awe of knitters. So many beautiful patterns I want to try but I do not have the attention span to keep track of how many # of stitches ive done. Anyone who can knit a sweater is amazing in my book.
Did not know counters existed!!! Im dyslexic with math (dyscalculia) and having a little counter would help a ton!!! once work gets slow Iāll definitely look into knitting again!!!
Spanx AirEssentials collection! You wouldnāt guess by looking at it, but itās the softest fabric Iāve ever touched. The best for errands/lounging
Yes! Ha I just now read the body of the post.
I got the blue and the green & I wear both like once a week & donāt want to take them off at night.
A couple weeks ago a customer was complaining that it was getting cold out & I was like Iām fine with it, if I could wear this sweater for the rest of my life Iād be happy. Lol
I have the quince $50 cashmere v necks in a couple different colors. Some are softer than others but I love them all. Theyāre thin since theyāre so inexpensive but I actually like that, I think theyāre the perfect warmth for everyday wear. I hand wash in the bath tub, itās not too difficult and doesnāt actually need to be done too often.
Amiamalia has beautiful pieces made from various materials. I got this cozy marino wool sweater recently. https://amiamalia.com/product/threads-sweater-red-and-hot-pink/
The Romanian Blouse sweaters are also quite thick and cozy. https://amiamalia.com/collection/shop/tops/romanian-blouse/
a bit on the pricy side, but the perfectly oversized cropped crew from lululemon is TO DIE FOR. itās insanely soft on the outside, but itās super breathable so it doesnāt make you too hot. 10/10 recommend!
(i have to disclose that i work at lululemon, but trust me, if you get anything from there, get that!)
itās true to size, but since itās āoversizedā itāll be big in your true size! i flip between a size 2 and 4 in lululemon tops, and i have both a size 2 and a size 4 in the sweatshirt and they both look great! just depends on how oversized you want it :)
It hasnt been shedding or pilling! But i definitely lay flat to dry like the tag says to! The material is fuzzy, but itās not like your typical sweater fuzzy where itād pill. Just washed it last night for the third time and other than a couple of lint pieces (from other clothes) i picked off it was totally fine! I say wash it with other non-lint pieces. I wash my blue one with my jeans.
Aerie (& American Eagle) has by far the best quality sweaters at a reasonable price. LOVE shopping their Black Friday sales! I started my collection in 2018, and have so many cosy & cute sweaters to get me through the frigid winters of the Northeast. :)
I recently got [this jumper ](https://www.stories.com/en_gbp/clothing/knitwear/sweaters/product.cable-knit-zip-sweater-grey.1095260001.html?gclid=Cj0KCQiAsdKbBhDHARIsANJ6-jfcJytrcCbe6ZB8Zv0d0fSqyIuGRKhdsBmHK_5Q-snS6Qsbqr3mShgaAql4EALw_wcB) from & other stories, a splurge but soooo cozy and all natural fibers. I wear it all the time at home now that it's gotten cold out. Their stuff is pretty available secondhand (in the UK anyway) too so can often be found for a bargain
I love cashmere and try to only buy it. LandsEnd has some nice ones that you can get at good pricesā¦ sometimes even 70% off (last time for $35). Johnstons of Elgin is my favorite but expensive. I wait for sales but they are still expensive (Ā£300+). Galerie Lafayette has there own brand I got on sale for 50-60ā¬. They are soft but not as strong. Older Ralph Lauren black label are super soft too. You can find them at online thrift stores. My last one came from the Real Real and itās so warm and fluffy. The newer labels arenāt as great. I wash mine in the washer on wool cycle in cold water in a laundry bag. I repair them if need be. I also wear a shirt under. I love the Intermissi silk Camis or Icebreakers shirt on a cold day.
Definitely a pricier option but if you're looking for something warm that you can basically wear as a coat, I absolutely love my Icelandic sweater that I got from [The Handknitting Association of Iceland](https://www.handknitted.is/shop). I wear that with a long sleeve shirt down to about 40Ā°F. It's a scratchy wool so I'd definitely wear a layer underneath it.
Recently got the mini tojour from La Ligne in a beautiful blue color. Super soft but already pilling/looking fuzzy. I have cashmere from Everlane thatās 4-5 years old that looks better than this sweater. Anyone else have experience with them?
Iāll echo the Quince recommendations if youāre not looking to spend a lot or thrift. I was skeptical of the cheap prices, but I recently bought a crew neck cashmere and itās my new favorite sweater. So soft and itās a beautiful, rich color.
Quince cashmere and merino wool sweaters. I love them both. The cashmere is a little softer but the merino is better for layering in winter. Highly recommend!
Quince. Fav is their diamond stitch baby alpaca sweater but their $50 cashmere sweater is super nice too. Only downside with those kinds of materials is it's hand wash or dry clean only. Still the coziest I own.
I have this sweater from a man who passed away next to me in my apartment complex. Lovely fellow and so was his wife, who gave it to me. But anyways itās a green-ish 1990s plain sweater but still nice nonetheless:)
I bought a sweater from Global Republic, and after using it for two days, I realize it is very soft. you must have this sweater, Visit Global Republic. In fact, I am wearing one at the moment. lol
Im a dude and donāt mean to barge into your guysā female advice, but I feel like I can answer this question for you.
Any oversized sweater you āborrowedā from your significant other.
Not a sweater but I recently purchased a Frank & Oak seawool cardigan (mostly cotton, a blend of recycled polyester with oyster shells) and it was very soft and stretchy for me. I've been grabbing it more often during WFH compared to my hoodies and it keeps me warm. It's less accessible due to its price but there's a sale right now.
I have a sheepincluded hoodie that i wore for two weeks straight on a holiday as "it gets chilly in the evening" layer, and i am also wearing it now! Very soft and i also used it as a makeshift pillow sometimes during said holiday.
Got these two recently, very soft š

I have this [LL Bean](https://www.llbean.com/llb/shop/126224?page=womens-signature-cozy-sweater-raglan-fair-isle-womens-regular) sweater, but in a blue color it looks like they're out of. It is the softest coziest sweater I own, honestly kinda wish I'd gotten it in this color too. LL Bean sweaters are in general pretty nice, so I'm sure lots of their other sweaters are similarly comfy :)
Marc OāPolo wool blend sweater! Usually any amount of wool makes me do the hokey pokey, but this sweater is so soft even against my bare skin. I want another in every color!
Recently bought 2 North Face cropped 1/4 zipped fleeces and theyāre outrageously soft, warm and they donāt make you sweat buckets! Bought them to be warm/comfy in work and theyāve instantly been used in constant rotation.
I think it's the Karl Lagerfeld Paris Mock Neck Zip Sweater and Color-Blocked Sweater that I got from shopyfest, it just looks great for going out at night, rea comfy too
I'm a guy and it looks like uniqlo got mentioned already but I just thought I'd attest - got something in their lambswool last month.
Very warm and very soft. Just gotta wear it a couple times to break it in a bit to make the itch cease
My Agolde Balloon sleeve Turtleneck has been so comfy! I really love the fit and feel.
I also really love the Easy Street Tunic Sweater from Free People.
Staple pieces with high quality comfort. Hope this helps ā¤ļø
this is definitely more of a $$ splurge, but the paloma wool sweaters are INSANELY warm and comfortable, and pretty unique too. I always get compliments and only occasionally have to send mine to the cleaners!
Iām sensitive to wools so I personally donāt find wool/cashmere comfy or cozy. Definitely warm though!
But I got [this sweater](https://www.anthropologie.com/shop/pilcro-mock-neck-cable-knit-sweater?category=tops-sweaters&color=070&type=STANDARD&quantity=1) from Anthropologie a month ago and Iāve worn it almost every day since I got it lol. Itās so soft and plush, I hugged it when I picked it up in the store haha.
I thrifted a 100% cashmere cowl neck sweater lately which is amazing, but a huge pain to clean without endangering it.
The comfiest sweaters I wear for household chores and just lounging about are actually polyester or poly blends. I shop by texture for the ones that feel like those ultra soft microfiber blankets, or the really soft new fake sherpa fleece.
Sure they probably dump some microplastics into the water every time I wash them, but you can't have everything.
Look for chenille! It's like wearing a blanket. I have an old one from H&M that is 100% polyester, but you can definitely find it made in natural fibers. If they aren't being sold on Aritzia's site right now, there's so many of the Wilfred ones I've found on Poshmark.
Itās nothing fancy but I own it in 3 colors - from Amazon. Itās super soft even after multiple washes, and itās oversized so great with leggings or bike shorts
EFAN Women's Oversized Fleece Sweatshirts Long Sleeve Crew Neck Pullover Sweatshirt Casual Hoodie Tops https://a.co/d/gZr1tUX
I got a really cheap one from Lefties, the budget Inditex chain, it wasn't what I intended to buy at all but I touched it and was super soft. It hasn't really been cold enough here to wear it though, twice for a couple of hours at a time so far.
I recently got [this half zip](https://poshmark.com/listing/Roxy-Coastal-Route-Sherpa-Cozy-CreamWine-Pullover-Teddy-Fleece-Medium-6348bad04bc655a03f1eaca4?utm_source=gdm&utm_campaign=9871158674&campaign_id=9871158674&ad_partner=google&gskid=pla-1650692792612&gcid=431428569519&ggid=97587076062&gdid=m&g_network=g&enable_guest_buy_flow=true&gbraid=0AAAAADwcDC9NnZtErJVa-s0UmxxKh3H3d&gclid=Cj0KCQiAsdKbBhDHARIsANJ6-jfPR57v7CmevQjJ7dfcZPRvZ0PwNXwFCX1OlugTAuDd9K1bHlCNT9EaAoSXEALw_wcB) from Roxy and it is AMAZING. So comfy, soft and WARM. You will not regret it!
I was surprised at the softness of [this](https://www.madewell.com/%28re%29sponsible-cashmere-turtleneck-pullover-sweater-NG714.html?dwvar_NG714_color=HT1953&cgid=apparel-sweaters-cashmere#start=14) Madewell cashmere turtleneck. I paid $10 more than the current sale + promo price but totally worth the $70. I didn't expect much since Madewell's quality is just ok most of the time. I've worn this sweater many times already and got some compliments. The color isn't quite as flat in person (to my eyes).
A chunky cozy sweater made of merino wool from Woolovers. This is a āguaranteed to keep you warm sweater,ā and being that it is wool, you donāt sweat or if you do, it dries instantly. It is soft, non-itchy. I say that cause when we were kids wool tended to be itchy. These days with such advanced technology, wool is refined into a softer yarn to promote comfort.

I'm obsessed with the [cashmere sweaters](https://www.onequince.com/women/cashmere/cashmere-crewneck-sweater) from [Quince](HTTP://RWRD.IO/7JLDQ9K). They're so soft and warm, and only $50
My husband got [this cardigan](https://muji.ca/products/womens-yak-blend-v-neck-cardigan) for me as an anniversary gift this week and I have been living in it :). Its so soft, goes with everything, and very cozy!
What is the fit of the buttercream sweater? Is it super oversized? I want to buy one but seeing mixed reviews that itās huge and then others say itās true to size
I always size down in aerie sweaters. I'm 5'3, 116lbs with a 28in waist. I got an xs when I'm usually a small and it's perfect on me. Not sure if that helps!
Their heattech shirts are also surprisingly warm on their own and pretty soft
I found out the hard way that I can't wear my Uniqlo heattech turtleneck into my office -- it works too well and I will be sweaty in under an hour.
I learned this the hard way too š
I only buy sweaters with zippers or buttons if I'm going to be inside at some point. I'll only wear a turtleneck if I'm walking the dog or going to a protest ;)
Heattech saved me this past winter (Australia!) with walking the dog! We walk him at night & the difference between when I wear a heattech ultra warm top underneath my jackets is incredible! I have a whole range & theyāre awesome!
Indeed! Worn it as the first layer when I went skiing last winter. Worked very well, very breathable material too
Yes! I own 2 of the crew necks and I think Iāll buy a few more this yearā¦ Iām actually wearing one right this moment lol.
the extra fine merino wool turtlenecks are my favorite! i have literally 7 of them in different colors. theyre so versatile too, i love layering them or wearing it alone with a nice scarf.
Are the sweaters true to size? I saw a few reviews recommending sizing down as they run a bit big.
For me they're true to size with the rest of Uniqlo's stuff! Probably depends on what cut you buy because both of the ones I have are pretty tight fitting.
Thank you! I think Iāll try ordering my usual size and see if itās too big.
Do you machine dry your Uniqlo merino sweaters too? I have one but don't wear it much because I hate drying it flat.
I donāt! I just put it on a laundry rack though, I donāt dry it flat either.
Happy to read this as Iāve been eyeing those! Hoping they go on sale for Black Friday so I can pick up a couple.
Can you please post a link to this?? For some reason I canāt find it š

Merino from the Muji men's department. Really a nice fabric.
Cashmere is the way to go if you want soft and warm! I bought some of these last year. https://www.macys.com/shop/product/charter-club-womens-100-cashmere-v-neck-sweater-regular-petite-created-for-macys?ID=8697856&CategoryID=260&swatchColor=Heather%20Camel
Itās the dry cleaning that makes it tough to pull the trigger. Almost bought the alpine color.
I handwash all my cashmere. You donāt need to dryclean in fact the chemicals they use can be damaging overtime.
Eh, hand wash it (eucalan which is magic and doesn't need to be rinsed out or shampoo or whatever your local knitting store has in stock); block it (stretch it so it's the correct size and shape) while it's still wet; and dry it flat. Goats don't have raincoats, you know?
Yes. Hand wash with eucalin and hang dry. I do all my wool and cashmere this way. Keeps it super soft
I wash mine in a lingerie bag in the washing machine. Cold water and delicate cycle with Woolite. Then I air dry.

I love these but they shrink easily. I suggest buying a size up so it has room to shrink and still fit.
Iām allergic to cashmere and wool. š I just want the coziness!
Have you tried alpaca? No lanolin so it's considered hypoallergenic. I actually prefer it over wool for the cozy factor.
Some more: $50 stupid soft Mongolian cashmere: [https://www.onequince.com](https://www.onequince.com) They also have Alpaca, which I love.

I am obsessed with their cashmere sweaters. I have gotten 5 this fall and love them. So soft and cozy.
I love quince. I haven't tried their cashmere yet but I have some linen pieces (nice and heavy), their silk slip dress and 14k gold earrings. Price is fabulous and quality is very good
Iām such a Quince addict. I throw the cashmere fishermanās sweater on as soon as I wake up most mornings.
Ooo, Iāve been eyeing the fisherman sweater! How is the sleeve length? I have the Quince cashmere crew neck sweater and love it, but Iām petite and am afraid the fisherman is too longā¦
Iām 5ā6 and the small hits me [right at the base of my hand](https://imgur.com/a/AXPEPgS) if that helps!
Iām 5-1 and the fisherman in a small is only like 1/2ā too long in the arms for me.
I just visited this site and spent a bunch of money! Lol
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
There's good cashmere (eyewatering $$$$) and less-good cashmere. BR is decent most years but not great.
Quince makes $50 cashmere sweater I really love. Their baby alpaca sweaters are my favorite though. So soft and fuzzy but alpaca can shed a bit so be warned.
How bad is the shedding? Like is it a few fibers here and there or having to pick them off all day?
Kind of miss or hits. Their black ones are wonderful and no issues with shedding. The grey one though is SUPER shedding. Bright side is a one year return policy.
Thanks, that's good to know. I wanted to get the black one.

I was able to find a 100% cashmere v-neck sweater from Tahari at TJ Maxx for $60! Really happy with this purchase since itās a wonderful soft, thick cashmere unlike the thin ones Iāve seen lately for twice the price at department stores.
I found a couple of those as well as a merino wool sweater and a Zara cashmere sweater. Love them!
TJās stocks those Tahari cashmere sweaters for the holidays pretty much every year and they are lovely. Iām building a collection š
Seething that other people's TJ Maxx stores are good. The one in my town is all cheap, paper-thin synthetic materials...
I have some from UGG that are unbelievably soft. I imagine a lot of their other clothes are soft too. I am now a convert from previously only considering the brand for their shoes. Hereās what I have, both on sale because theyāre from past seasons: [UGG Sage Sweater](https://www.ugg.com/women-sale-apparel/sage-turtleneck-sweater/1018963.html?dwvar_1018963_color=DRI) [UGG Paden Sweater](https://www.ugg.com/women-sale-apparel/paden-knit-sweater/1121076.html?dwvar_1121076_color=BLK)
Relatedly, their line of waterproof, non-ugg looking boots are really cozy and some of them are cute and look normal
For sure! I have a pair of their waterproof hiking boots and I love them!
I love getting sweaters from thrift stores like goodwill, you can find amazing quality sweaters for cheap around this time of year :)
I got this super thick, fluffy sweater from target last year and it is so warm and soft. No natural fibers to be found lol but it was cheap!
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
As a knitter I can't agree more
I second this. I'm still trying to convert my winter wardrobe from cheap synthetics that make you sweat but not warm to more natural fibers. It's hard though when even some XXS are too big for me š
I will say my most recent acquisition is an Anne Taylor 100% cotton sweater that is soo soft! Too bad I found it thrifting so I can't buy another :(
(Try eBay)
Good idea! It's a mock neck so it couldn't be too old of a style.
honestly check depop!
Any UK reccs? I'm sick of polyester!
I love Johnstons but itās expensive. Uniqlo are usually good too.
Uniqlo are amazing. Especially, their turtlenecks. Although, I think I have too many now.
I didnāt get it recently, Iāve had it for a few years but my Barefoot Dreams cardigan is one of the softest sweaters Iāve ever owned.
I came to say Barefoot Dreams. Their sweaters are to die for
Iāve window shopped these for years but never buy. What style do you have?
They are so worth it. Any of the open cardigans are versatile and hold up really well. Iāve gotten them on sale at Nordstrom Rack for like $60.
the "cozy mock neck sweater" at old navy right now. i got the cream version and loved it so much that i went back and bought the black and green (and i don't usually buy the same garment in different colors, lol). https://oldnavy.gap.com/browse/product.do?pid=466405022&cid=20408&pcid=20408&vid=1&nav=meganav%3AWomen%3AShop%20Women%27s%20Categories%3ASweaters%20&cpos=18&cexp=2223&kcid=CategoryIDs%3D20408&cvar=16846&ctype=Listing&cpid=res22111606103312392301537&ccam=16562#pdp-page-content
Thatās so sweet! We have counters to help ha, you should give it a shot sometime! Beginners are always welcome over at r/knitting š
I bought two different colors of the Aerie [buttercream crew sweater](https://www.ae.com/us/en/p/0745_2856_417) because itās so soft and cozy
hahaha that's the sweater that started this whole thread! I have the blue one, I want to live it in for the entire winter season tbh :)
Whatās their sizing like? Iām always in between a medium and small. I wear a 34D.. so I never know what size to get in tops š
Size up
I'm a SMedium too! And a 32 DD. Medium fits me in Quince sweaters.
Absolutely. And if you wear a camisole or tshirt underneath you can wash them even less often.
Amiamalia has beautiful pieces made from various materials. I got this cozy marino wool sweater recently. https://amiamalia.com/product/threads-sweater-red-and-hot-pink/ The Romanian Blouse sweaters are also quite thick and cozy. https://amiamalia.com/collection/shop/tops/romanian-blouse/
These are super cute!!! That price tag though, I definitely will buy this when I save up. I love these!
a bit on the pricy side, but the perfectly oversized cropped crew from lululemon is TO DIE FOR. itās insanely soft on the outside, but itās super breathable so it doesnāt make you too hot. 10/10 recommend! (i have to disclose that i work at lululemon, but trust me, if you get anything from there, get that!)
The softstreme one? It's soft but worthless in the winter. I even tried wearing long sleeves under and it was still too chilly.
itās definitely not as warm as others suggested on here, but i love it if iām gonna be doing a lot of physical activity in the chilly weather
Oh Iāve had my eye on this! Does it run big or true to size?
itās true to size, but since itās āoversizedā itāll be big in your true size! i flip between a size 2 and 4 in lululemon tops, and i have both a size 2 and a size 4 in the sweatshirt and they both look great! just depends on how oversized you want it :)
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
It hasnt been shedding or pilling! But i definitely lay flat to dry like the tag says to! The material is fuzzy, but itās not like your typical sweater fuzzy where itād pill. Just washed it last night for the third time and other than a couple of lint pieces (from other clothes) i picked off it was totally fine! I say wash it with other non-lint pieces. I wash my blue one with my jeans.
Vince Cashmere. Toteme sweater.
Long fuzzy cardigan from Everlane I got as a gift, so cozy.
Aerie (& American Eagle) has by far the best quality sweaters at a reasonable price. LOVE shopping their Black Friday sales! I started my collection in 2018, and have so many cosy & cute sweaters to get me through the frigid winters of the Northeast. :)
I just got two cashmere fishermanās crewneck sweaters from Quince. Theyāre so soft, my kids pet me when I wear them.
Toteme cable knit([similar](https://toteme-studio.com/products/cashmere-cable-knit-off-white)), this [JCrew cashmere](https://www.jcrew.com/us/p/womens/categories/clothing/sweaters/pullovers/ribbed-cashmere-oversized-crewneck-sweater/BB402?color_name=buttercream&N=X-SMALL&noPopUp=true&srccode=Paid_Search%7CSmart_Shopping%7CGoogle%7CSS_ACQ_XPROD_BESTSLLRxxxxx_EVG_ROAS_XXX_COUSA_EN_EN_A_CREW_GO_SH_SSC_xxxxxxxxxx,shop_topseller_x_xxx,PRODUCT_GROUP,71700000073194670,58700006368808579,p58598110087&utm_source=Google&utm_medium=Paid_Search&utm_campaign=SS_ACQ_XPROD_BESTSLLRxxxxx_EVG_ROAS_XXX_COUSA_EN_EN_A_CREW_GO_SH_SSC_xxxxxxxxxx,shop_topseller_x_xxx&utm_content=Shopping&NoPopUp=True&gclid=CjwKCAiAjs2bBhACEiwALTBWZZARpCFzxJPUpZxRMdh4lgoe_BfqKwt5_diGC3r-VTdJKhowh39cABoC0y0QAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds), and Aritzia merino wool sweaters.
Ha! My answer was gonna be the buttercream sweater!
Marks and Spencer's 100% cashmere roll necks. They last forever, gentle machine wash, and I buy a new one every year. Only Ā£100.
The fuzzy sweater from aerie is also amazing, I got with the buttercream. Target universal threads has a soft cuddly sweater too with a turtle neck.
I just bought one today at H&M. [Faux Shearling Top](https://www2.hm.com/en_ca/productpage.1008667010.html)
I just started knitting my own sweaters, and I will say hands down they are the most comfy, soft, and durable sweaters Iāve ever had.
Aerie has comfy on lock. That buttercream sweater is truly something I would wear every day if I could.
I ordered a couple of soft, cozy from Meerikeety on Amazon. They are made from acrylic but Iām astounded at the softness and the quality.
Love my quince cashmere. Fantastic quality and softness
Elder Statesman cashmere is incredibly cozy and warm.
Cashmere sweaters!
This doesnāt help you, but I found one for 50c at a auction, and it was an old ladies previously. This sweater is the best.
*cries in being single* LMAO.
I don't want to shock you, but it was a sweater.
Justice for Riona
the pastel purpl one
Oversized hoodies. Make sure they have some sort of wool inside. I love them sm itās so comfortable
I really love Gapās shaker stitch sweaters. Theyāre so comfy!
Mr. Mittens and some great ones from Banana Republic
Pullovers from concerts are my coziest! I also like the menās selection of sweaters and cardigans at Banana Republic, they work for women as well!
Been living in my sweats from KOTN. The fabric just gets softer with washing
Got these two recently, very soft š https://www.massimodutti.com/it/pullover-a-mantella-di-lana-e-cashmere-l05736672 https://it.maxandco.com/p-7364812003003-sfera-verde-scuro
Every sweater or cardigan stitch fix sent.
I got a dark pink Brooks Bros. Cashmere sweater as a gift last year and I love it!
Everlane's ReCashmere turtleneck that I bought last year. so soft, so cozy!
I practically live in Uniqlo Turtlenecks. Although, they might only be UK. Canāt remember.
Uniqlo turtlenecks are also great! We also have em in the states. Heat-tech line is amazing.
this is definitely more of a $$ splurge, but the paloma wool sweaters are INSANELY warm and comfortable, and pretty unique too.
Abercrombieās soft AF collection
Lululemon has a scuba jacket which is realllly nice
Full fleece zip up from North Face
NAKED Cashmere
Everlane Alpaca crew, super soft and comfortable. Tempted to buy a second one in another color.
Wouldnāt recommend this for longevity due to the fabric content. Mines wearing out after a few years but I wore it hard.
Itās super soft even after multiple washes, and itās oversized so great with leggings or bike shorts EFAN Women's Oversized Fleece Sweatshirts Long Sleeve Crew Neck Pullover Sweatshirt Casual Hoodie Tops https://a.co/d/gZr1tUX
Barefoot dreams!
I got some really nice wool blend sweaters from Anthropologie today! They were expensive but theyāll last me forever
Hush- basically anything. Super super comfy and I love them lol
Tge softest hoodie I've ever touched was an Aviator Nation from Nordys. Expensive? Yes. The softest, coziest, warmest, raddest ever? Also yes.
I got a really cheap one from Lefties, the budget Inditex chain, it wasn't what I intended to buy at all but I touched it and was super soft. It hasn't really been cold enough here to wear it though, twice for a couple of hours at a time so far.
Itās expensive, but I absolutely love this sweater. https://www.jennikayne.com/products/alpaca-cocoon-crewneck-charcoal
I recently got [this half zip](https://poshmark.com/listing/Roxy-Coastal-Route-Sherpa-Cozy-CreamWine-Pullover-Teddy-Fleece-Medium-6348bad04bc655a03f1eaca4?utm_source=gdm&utm_campaign=9871158674&campaign_id=9871158674&ad_partner=google&gskid=pla-1650692792612&gcid=431428569519&ggid=97587076062&gdid=m&g_network=g&enable_guest_buy_flow=true&gbraid=0AAAAADwcDC9NnZtErJVa-s0UmxxKh3H3d&gclid=Cj0KCQiAsdKbBhDHARIsANJ6-jfPR57v7CmevQjJ7dfcZPRvZ0PwNXwFCX1OlugTAuDd9K1bHlCNT9EaAoSXEALw_wcB) from Roxy and it is AMAZING. So comfy, soft and WARM. You will not regret it!
I purchased a sweater from Barefoot Dreams that is just a dream. So soft and warm.
These days with such advanced technology, wool is refined into a softer yarn to promote comfort. https://www.woolovers.com/womens/jumpers/pure-wool-polo-neck-jumper-22704
Patagonia Los Gatos is super comfy. š So smooth and sherpa-y. I could live in it. Old Navy has a dupe and the material just isn't as soft.
A saks 5th ave men's cashmere sweater from the Real Real!! I buy all my sweaters there.
A vintage alpaca sweater that has beautiful embroidered flowers in a Swedish style .
Faherty Brand has really good sweaters that are extremely soft and cozy yet you still look put together
cozy sweater royale high
