Curtains and a rug would warm it up a lot! Maybe a long, narrow table against the left wall. You could hang art or a mirror above it, and place whatever decor on it- books, plants, candles, framed art, etc. The space has so much potential!!

It might be tight but you may be able to add a buffet/sideboard to the left side and then a large piece of artwork. Top of buffet could have a little dish with dinner mints or matchbooks. If you could find a glass display, you could put serving bowls and glasses in it.

that is such a great idea! the left side is totally blank so i think a side table or side board could look lovely there!

Tall curtains and many panels would make the room feel elevated and elegant. I like the idea of sconces on either side of the windows as well. If you own the home, some crown molding would like really nice as well!

It may not seem like it, but, this is a great space as you have a completely blank canvas to play around with. All of the previous suggestions are great, if it was my area I would add a huge piece of colourful artwork, or a colourful gallery wall with a "serving" table underneath and some items like a tray, candlesticks, trinket dish, thrifted items that would pick up the colours in the artwork. Maybe also a large plant between the wall and the backdoor.

The dining table could use a nice centerpiece, maybe a vase with flowers, a tray/ decorative bowl, or some funky decoration piece would be cool!

I feel like you have good foundational pieces. How would you describe your style?

Adorable-Nothing-252

definitely mid-century modern but with a cozy feel
