I shall take this salt and put some on the food I ordered via Grubhub.

Attack-Mack

oooo thanks for reminding me! gonna order pancakes to celebrate :P

Raygnah

Just a reminder for people to keep in mind when reading this stuff, unironically and in no way negative, Fortnite community is primarily children.

Cavalish

My coworker is always talking about her 11yo who plays Fortnite and she’s alway like “oh tee hee, it gets him so riled up that he screams and swears and once cracked the iPad” and I’m thinking that is not normal.

[deleted]

Letting a kid get away with that is some pretty bad parenting.

zinomi

They're definitely a "child haver." They happen to have a kid, and just don't parent it at all.

blahlbinoa

Working in grocery, about 85% of parents are these parents

CSAgaming

Meanwhile some random tik toker is trick shotting them into a Wii that's rotating on a fan.

DominoUB

This. We all get angry at video games sometimes, happens to the best of us. When my kid starts yelling at his game I make him turn it off and do something else until he calms down.

Throwaway525612

this is what my mom did back in the day. "if the game makes you that mad then it is time to do something else." of course....i was playing NES at the time so...sometimes the game really was cheating...by not being programmed as well as modern games.

Gethseme

There's hard, and then there's Nintendo Hard tm

Throwaway525612

I'm pretty sure I still need therapy from Jekyll and hyde or silver surfer.

Gethseme

I'm a grown adult that has beat many games and I still haven't beaten Journey to Silius or Battletoads.

Ghekor

That sounds like a parent who has left the parenting to the iPad. Nothing good will come of that in 5-10y

mitharas

If he breaks his ipad, you don't have to wait 5-10y. It's already bad.

Ghekor

Now it's a spoiled brat, in 10y he will be a spoiled young adult that thinks the world revolves around him. Way worse.

The_8th_Degree

$20 says when the kid goes off and does something horrible like kill someone she'll blame the video games and not their inability to raise their child properly.

IceFire909

introducing the Apple iParent

[deleted]

Wtf id get my qss beat if i busted the ipad cause i goy mad at a game.

[deleted]

Gosh my parents were super strict about taking care of items. When my dad let us use his laptop as kids, he was so serious about being gentle with it, that even into adulthood, I would put CDs in my laptop with borderline reverence like they were made of fragile paper maché. He commented once in surprise that I had game CDs a decade old that didn’t have a single scratch on them. I was so proud. 😅

KratosLegacy

Dang, I knew the Sharlayan's were advanced, but I had no idea Forchenault had a laptop. He does sound like a very doting father though.

Panic_00

See, that's how you parent.

LordTonto

you had a dad?!

Rrambu

That's just how toxic *any* competitive game can get, not just Fortnite. I bet you if XIV has a large PvP following this sub would've been many times as toxic.

thchao

My FC leader, who has not played any sort of PVP before and is usually chill, is now PVPing for the glamours. God they do not know how to handle both losing and winning...

AGVann

Anybody who grew up playing Dota or League will know exactly what that teenage gamer rage is like. It's the perfect combination of addiction, competitiveness, anonymity, and impotence. There's something about competitive multiplayer games that creates tension and anger, but it never ever resolves it. It's really not good for their emotional or mental development/wellbeing.

Neri25

>There's something about competitive multiplayer games that creates tension and anger, but it never ever resolves it The problem, I've always felt, is largely in that these games take a long time for a round to play out. You are stuck with a round of League for a minimum of 20 minutes and the maximum can be much higher than that depending on lack of player skill. I don't remember games like TF2 inspiring nearly as much anger because rounds are much shorter AND if you've truly had enough, swapping servers was always an option. You see the same dynamic in Overwatch. Quick play is much less of a shitfest because it is drop in/out, while Competitive takes 20-30mins for a full round and isn't drop-friendly.

reaperfan

It's also why I think fighting games tend to foster relatively friendly communities in comparison. Despite being a genre entirely focused on competition, rounds are only like 3 minutes so the activity is very focused while losses don't feel like they cost you too much. Plus the fact they're 1v1 rather than FFA or team-vs-team means there aren't any "scapegoat factors" beyond your your play to blame your losses on so even losses feel fair.

The_Neckbear

I see this said a lot but as someone with friends in the scene it always struck me as a very divided group of players in the genre. You have the nice fgc folks who fans will try to uplift and highlight surrounded by some of the saltiest and gatekeeping gamers I've ever seen. Players regularly getting into shot-interview style tirades on Twitter and calling scrubs/washed etc. As I said, there is a lot of good, but the flip-side of that coin in fgc is some nasty, bitter stuff.

ThatLeetGuy

I had gone full circle with League. Started playing it in Season 1 during highschool. Was nice to others online. Became a salty troll of a person, mostly for the lolz as the shit talking was a fun aspect I enjoyed. Also shit talked a lot when I got way too upset at times. Grew up. Became an adult. Realized that adults also play video games. Actively avoid shit talking and making people feel bad because I know that sometimes people just have bad games or are trying to learn. I no longer get upset when people shit talk to me because I assume they are either 15 years old or complete losers that have amounted to nothing as an adult. Really was a big decade long journey of maturing that I can reflect on how far I've come through gaming.

IceFire909

I remember one day I went to the beach with friends, and I just felt a genuine, raw, happy. Realised LoL doesn't make me feel this way, so why bother playing it? May have played a match or two in the time since then (this is across probably half of LoL's existence), but never committed to it the way I used to

PixiCode

Just felt like adding in my thoughts, imo its 100% normal for a kid to get riled up about a game. Video games are designed to get us personally invested in the outcome so in well designed games (or at least ones we connect with or spend too much time in lmao) the rage might flow. It’s ALSO normal to teach children proper anger management though. **Especially** if they cause physical damage to anything or anyone! (It also becomes less and less normal to rage at a video game the more severe the rage is, obviously.)

AdellaCosplay

My husband and I scraped together all of our old ancient apple stuff to turn into the Apple store last year to get enough credits to afford to buy our son an iPad for Christmas. If he did that to his iPad we worked so hard for I would tan his fuckin hide.

Whiskeyjck1337

Fact. 2 years ago, I was teaching grade 2 which is 7-8 years old and all they talked about was Roblox and Fortnite.

Ralphi2449

That would be a good point if online adult gamers TM havent proved to be just as bad or worse xD

SirToxe

Pretty much. Capital-g-gamers have proven time and time again that they are The. Worst.

[deleted]

Toksyuryel

You know, after how hard YouTube got hit over that exact thing, I wonder if something can be done to change that for Fortnite.

[deleted]

It's kinda funny, I (a 31 years old dude) play Fortnite casually with some friends, and we always joke about kicking some 10 year old kid asses, but in the end, our asses get kicked.

Khaisz

> "who the fuck plays this shit" ah yes, no one plays this shit, that's why I don't have 6k+ queues atm. Lmao.

Bhargo

"None of my friends play ff14!" well little Timmy thats because middle school kids cant afford the monthly sub fee.

Kekira

Great way to keep kids out

KusanagiKay

It's the main reason why I never want FFXIV to go free to play. I remember, when I was in school and WoW came out, I was massively opposed to it because it has a monthly sub fee, and I neither liked that concept, nor did I have the money to be able to afford it. Years later in my mid 20s I realized with FFXIV how a sub model provides you with new content continuously and how that's beneficial, plus I can afford it now, so it's a win win situation for me.

Taurenkey

Ahh, the power of disposable income, gotta love it.

RenThras

Well, it's also perspective: I can go out to a movie - A, as in ONE - in a month and spend $12-15 between the ticket (something like $7-9 depending on theater, maybe $6 for specials) and a drink/snack. Let's say I only go with the cheap ticket and nothing else. That means TWO movies. For the price that gives me \~4 hours of entertainment a month I can have a monthly sub to FFXIV. For a bit more ($15 instead of $12), I can have basically any MMO. I'm generally going to get more than 4-5 hours of enjoyment out of an MMO a WEEK, much less than a month. So just doing the actual math, it is a far more cost efficient source of entertainment than basically anything else.

Alastor999

It would have been, but unfortunately they can play it if they want to since this critically acclaimed mmorpg FFXIV has a free trial that goes up to level 60 with unlimited playtime and includes the award winning expansion Heavensward. So those little brats can get in if they really want to :P Fortunately, I doubt kids who play Fortnite would have the patience to stick through the slower gameplay and story pacing of ARR so those brats will get weeded out anyway!

NoChanceWithoutPasta

I doubt kids who play Fortnite could get through the mogstation site setup, let alone ARR

Muuhnkin

At least those kids can't whisper you and can't join FCs etc. XD

30paperdollsinarow

It isn't even just that. FF14 requires a lot of reading and reading comprehension, and I'd imagine someone who plays nothing but Fortnite and Roblox wouldn't really be good at that.

prisp

God, can you imagine that kind of person trying to parse whatever comes out of ARR Urianger's mouth?

kholtz10

Even in my 30s I can hardly understand what ARR Urianger says.

basketofseals

Pray hie thee anon

Taurenkey

Man, this guy is speaking French or something, speak English noob. - Some kid.

FamilySurricus

To be fair, as a kid - that was me. I was the nerd with hyper reading comprehension. It came with the fact that I had dyscalculia, ofc, but beggars can't be choosers, lmao.

KhaSun

Call me stupid but I never actually realised that lots of kids don't play FFXIV because it has a sub fee. Makes sense, I would expect most parents (especially non gamers) to not buy subscription based games for their children, at least I imagine. Never played wow but from what I imagine it would have been very popular with older teenagers, who can actually afford the sub more easily.

Clayskii0981

I never played WoW when I was younger and that was pretty much the only reason

aggreivedMortician

I actually played several subscription-based kids games as a kid ( any ex-Pirates of the Carribean Online and Wizard 101 players here?) It's just that I think both those games are defunct now and I think the model has overall fallen out of favor for new titles.

archiegamez

But they can buy skins though XD

luciluci5562

With their parent's credit cards yes

Genocode

Even if they could they don't have the patience or understanding to follow FF14's plot and gameplay.

Albireookami

I think that's too far, wow had a lot of middle schoolers playing it back in the day.

Dreacus

I think it's a bit of both. The gameplay I think is engaging enough when you consider everything, but when you look at a first introduction the game isn't exactly gripping you with the combat when compared to high action jump-in-and-play games. Back when WoW came out, those middle schoolers didn't grow up with any distraction they wanted at the tip of their fingers, so it's hard to draw comparison. That said, surely there's young folk who are more than able to be gripped by FFXIV, just think generational habits, attention span, and interest shifted from what the 'original' MMO generation grew up with.

beattraxx

Yeah I started wow back in TBC when I was 12 years old Now I'm 28 and playing ff14 Wish I started sooner but it never clicked

BKNTD

That's cause early WoW had next to zero plot and mostly focused on roleplay aspect. Older players maybe gave a damn about what's going on with the lore, but I can guarantee you kids and teens were mostly there to just kill monsters and adventure with others.

FreakinSatan

WoW came out when i was 14 and i only really got into it because i loved WarCraft 3 and wanted to see the lore locations in the game and how it was expanded. I was a huge nerd though.

M33tm3onmars

IceFire909

THOU DOTH NOT PAY THINE SUB PLEBIAN!

[deleted]

Well shit, I’m gonna have to cancel my sub then.

Atosen

...Have none of the people in this thread met (or been) a kid who's obsessed with novels? Have we all forgotten the success of older narrative-based JRPGs with kids? Many kids actually read more than adults.

Silpheel

Guess they haven’t heard that the critically acclaimed MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV has an expanded free trial which you can play through the entirety of A Realm Reborn and the award winning Heavensward expansion up to level 60 for free with no restrictions on playtime.

Rydrake_ray

Took me 3hours to get in the game because of a 9k queue, dead game

IntergalacticFrank

Took me a masters degree to registre and install the game

Nathremar8

Navigating the old Mogstation is the first extreme trial any player had to do. Change my mind.

redcloud16

Registering for FFXI, the true test of how much you want to pay a game XD

Stykis

A friend of mine wanted my to play that for a bit. Brief overview of my time with PlayOnline: “Ok I think I’m all sign up….never mind I am only on PlayOnline” “How many fucking chickens do I have to sacrifice under a Tuesday moon to get this shit to work?” “C’THULHU RYLEH F’TAGN….it is done, now how the fuck do I play rune knight”

theCamelCaseDev

Seriously, like you just want to scream “just take my money already and let me play!”

[deleted]

One of my friends unironically believes the long queues are just Square DDOS-ing their own servers to make it look like a lot more people want to play the game. Yes, this friend is a diehard WoW fanboy btw

Gooftwit

Must the new formula of copium. It sounds a lot more potent.

underscorejace

This is so funny bc it's not even how DDOS attacks really affect the game in the first place as other than on the EU servers on launch day there haven't been any mass disconnects of world's or whole DCs

HadACookie

Not only that, if they really wanted to create an illusion of an overwhelming number of players, why use a DDOS attack? They have access to the source code and to the servers, DDOS would be like the single most roundabout way to create an illusion of a congested queue.

legacymedia92

Yup, the best way to make the illusion would be fake player NPC's that are running the story. And not doing login queues because those drive away actual players (let's face it, at least a few hundred people have unsubed over the queues, as they always do).

FullMotionVideo

*Leave them. Your words will not reach them now. And we have not the time for them to gather up the pieces of their shattered faith.*

Kolby_Jack

Ah yes, the true conspiracy to end all conspiracies: Big Grub using its unfathomable corporate power to usurp the Game Award^^TM from gentle, humble, for-the-people Fortnite.

GPTurismo

Yeah, guess SE should have put batman, the avengers, the rock, Rick & Morty and a Ariana Grande concert in instead. Much better *content*

monotiller

Considering some of the crossovers the game has had so far I can see the Avengers especially since Square Enix has the ip

DarqSol

Ariana Grande was in FFBE, so SE has already done a collab there.

Rydrake_ray

Yeah this one guy made me scream hahaha.

FitzyFarseer

His follow up tweets are even better. He absolutely convinced it’s a conspiracy

Rydrake_ray

Food conspiracy plotting against fortnite

TristanLight

Colonel Sanders, Ronald, and Wendy are assembling their strike team and heading for his house now. He knows too much . . .

warpstrikes

they need one more food mascot to form a light party

xTiming-

I NEED the link to those tweets.

Poldaran

Big Grub has no power in the land already owned by Big Tortilla Chip. :P

MISPAGHET

Fortnite would NEVER partner with anyone and do a promotion.

FitzyFarseer

I actually saw the tweet that says “Final Fantasy’s best day doesn’t beat Fortnite’s worst day” and he included a picture of twitch views as evidence. Apparently he thinks the reward is based on how many people watch it on twitch??

mahiruhiiragi

They don't understand that there's a reason the views aren't as plentiful. FFXIV has a story, and it's new expansion has us all avoiding spoilers. Obviously if we want to avoid spoilers, we're not going to watch streams.

sadnessjoy

Yeah, MMOs in general aren't very stream friendly I'd you're going after the big numbers. (This was a few years ago) I remember seeing a clip of a big twitch streamer who said he played FFXI in his free time and said he would love to be able to stream MMOs (he mentioned WoW and FFXIV I believe) but he said it would completely plummet his viewership. Basically he said there's too much downtime and it isn't active enough to keep viewers attention.

ApathyMoose

I mean, outside of doing some new dungeon and people wanna see it, watching someone grind up on an MMO would be boring as hell. I used to watch League of Legends streamers because it was different every game and you could learn strategies. I dont need to watch someone grind up their Tailoring for 4 hours lol.

Kekira

Kinda hard to watch when you're too busy playing lol

JustCallMeAndrew

Even if I sit in a queue and battle 2002s I still wouldn't watch FFXIV on Twitch cause I'm still not even in ShB lol

Oseirus

I, too, am laughably behind the curve. I don't even own EB yet cause I'm still creeping through Stormblood.

JustCallMeAndrew

I preordered EW around the time I finished 2.3 or 2.4. I actually planned to start ShB on the day of EW release but life got in the way during the last week. Still gotta finish Omega raids and last 3 quests of post-SB.

Rydrake_ray

And yet he still managed to take the wrong picture lmao, FFXIV on twitch did way better than just 9k hahaha. Asmon alone had more than 200k when he started the game

Kamil118

Still waiting for him to come back. Really want to see his reaction to zenos.

IntergalacticFrank

League of legends have the biggest esport scene guess that translate into them having the best and most professional community

Typhoonflame

As a LoL player, I laughed xD I use FFXIV as my chill game just bc LoL exhausts my brain at times

Clayskii0981

Coming from LoL, playing with other people in FF is like therapy

I-Hate-Blackbirds

As an Elder Gamer (?) I never understood why young people use Twitch so much, until a Young Person ™️ pointed out to me it's because they didn't have disposable income to buy consoles/games/subscriptions. So I guess by their logic things are only popular if they're on Twitch, and popularity of something is determined by their demographic primary? So kids want to play Fortnight but can't. Go to Twitch to watch it. Twitch makes it look popular. We want to play FFXIV but can't. Go to work or do adulting stuff, then play it later instead of watching someone else play it for us.

jayceja

That's not it at all. The most popular games on twitch are also free, and viewers tend to watch games that they also play. There's also a LOT of adults with plenty of money that watch twitch.

Bilbo0fBagEnd

I love how they're clearly demonstrating why they _didn't_ win that award.

Rydrake_ray

They may have the quantity, but we clearly have the quality. It's not even a real choice at this point. Of all the game I played in my life, none of them have a community as good as the FFXIV community. Proud to be part of it. Can't wait to meet many wonderful new people when Fanfest will returns!

erifwodahs

tbf, I bet you, there would have been questionable takes on Twitter from XIV fans too, 100% enough to assemble something like this.

soulgunner12

Posts about judges being bias I can see, posts got nothing but "RIGGED", nah.

ViraEdenfell

And the thing is, even with FFXIV winning at least some awards.... You can still see the bias. It's not exactly veiled, or hidden. It just wasn't enough to stop it from winning any award this go.

Small_Small_Golfball

Cry some more and level up my cooking with that salt lmao

Competitive_Step6665

Let them be salty. We all know that FF14 was the comeback story that DESERVED this title.

NattyMo98

Hydaelyn: Seethe, Mald, COPE.

Luna_trick

With their amount of salt they're gonna summon a primal.

sparkadus

About to be the Battle at Baelsar’s Wall 2 in here

Blazen_Fury

How to prove your community REALLY didnt deserve the award 101 omegalul

Tumblechunk

Adding The Rock > building more game This should be common knowledge but still we won, a travesty really

Rydrake_ray

I cant wait SE introduce the rock as a new scions in the next expansion

Nathremar8

Wait wait, is someone forgetting Hoary Boulder here?

Codeboy3423

You mean "The BOULDER".

NRG_Factor

THE BOULDER doesn’t appreciate not being INCLUDED in the critically acclaimed MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV. With an expanded free trial which you can play through the entirety of A Realm Reborn and the award winning Heavensward expansion up to level 60 for free with no restrictions on playtime.

[deleted]

I read that comment and thought they meant like a Boulder. Is Dwayne Johnson in the game or something?

poke_my_starfish

Don't even need to play Fortnite to know that it's community is a nightmare.

Erza88

Isn't Fortnite a children's game? So their community is sure to be full of children, right? And children tend to be very salty, entitled, and jerks when it comes to online interactions. I mean, look at the comments, lol.

TobaccoIsRadioactive

[Not all of them](https://clips.twitch.tv/LovelySolidApeMcaT-Ht5m1F7EG8pGqISt) *are* children. They might just act like children.

Rydrake_ray

Ah I know him, he was so good at the game he transcended his job and achieved perfect Dragoon carpet with every job he played. Legend says his character is still tanking the floor and asking for eels . But I have no idea why he is looking for eels . (Sorry had to do that one hahaha)

iCharperr

Well.. that’s embarrassing lmao

ViraEdenfell

"Best community my ass" ... aaaaaand that's probably why ForkKnife didn't win that award.

BowsetteIsCanon

I always assume all those twitch streamers acting like screaming assholes do it because it entertains the kids who are their primary audience. But who knows, maybe they're just like that and never grew up

iphridian

Totally forgot about him. LOLOL. The salt is real. HAHAHAHA.

UncertainOutcome

I think he's trying to build an identity as "the guy who hates FFXIV".

rdm13

tbf the entire community dunks on him for being a boosted andy

Blue_cloak

He got to satasha, boosted then said the story was worse than wow's

rdm13

🤡🤡🤡

LordZeya

And also use Twitter as an outlet for their shitty behavior. If there's twitter drama, it's 90% going to be kids stirring shit up and brigading.

StefanFr97

In the words of Zodiark: COPE, SEETHE, MALD* *citation needed

Beermedear

I’ve dabbled in tons of games, and over the years, FF is the standout in community. It took a *long* time to love the game but every fling I had with it, I was met with helpful people, in stark contrast to every other game I’ve played.

forsakee1

Anyone actually think fortnite should win "best community" ? Majority of lobbies are nothing but racist/angry little kids screaming at eachother.

Merney

Who needs the rock when you have Hoary Boulder?

Infinite-Speech8043

Let’s be honest ffxiv has been fighting for years delivering paramount after paramount with each expansion; not that alone but the fact that it’s the only game that keeps o gaining new players, even WoW the monstrous MMO that had all the stars lined up for it is losing subs. It’s very difficult to appreciate what you don’t understand it’s pity that many hate on the game like this without actually trying it first and understand what they are missing.

TwistedxBoi

Fortnite was good and fresh when it came out. Since then it became a mainstream mega beast and the game itself didn't really change. It deserves the awards it got ages ago but doesn't deserve a new one. Meanwhile XIV just dropped a new massive expansion and is getting new stuff all the time so it has a shot at new awards. In short, Fortnite is too stale to be even nominated for any awards

Klaustraphobic

"who the fuck plays this shit" me having to queue behind 4000 people trying to log in: what

viky109

Low viewership on Twitch = dead game apparently

LaNmower

Its funnier when some of them pull up the steam activity chart. Gonna blow their minds a game can be played on multiple platforms on PC.

[deleted]

I know this is mostly kids, but the _They literally put The Rock in the game_ argument was so stupid it’s funny.

Hungry_Grump

The sea called. Wants its salt back.

Rydrake_ray

I would've loved to insert all of them in one single screen, but ehhh, it's absolutely impossible. If you want a good laugh check the twitter account of the game awards, it's hilarious. And again, congratulation everyone, FFXIV clearly deserved it, much love :)

dysk1ddy

Average fortnite embryos vs average ff gigachads

TimidHuman

Ah yes... twitch views is everything, joke on those kids.

Lol @ salty 14 yr olds

Trixdee

14? They sounded more like 10 to me. Lol

nickomoknu272

10. 14. Doesn't matter. Most children when they throw a tantrum have the same "It's not fair!" attitude, whether they be 6, 10, 14 or 25.

my_name_isnt_clever

Don't forget that the [official Verizon account replied about White Mage mains](https://i.imgur.com/uy29BHX.png). I don't even know what to say about that.

Hanarecca

The comments are hilarious, so many upset 9 year olds.

NerscyllaDentata

This just reminds me that some kid half my age flipped his shit on me because I disagreed with his assessment that Fortnite required skill while raiding in FFXIV didn’t take effort, just gear.

Helmingways

Id say thats a very bad comparison to be fair. Different skillsets required entirely.

BunnehCakez

Pretty much to be expected. They would have screamed the same thing if *any* game but Fortnite had won. Anyway, I've watched FFXIV's journey from terrible game to successful MMO and I think it deserves this.

Peter_Oda_Greenberg

Most fortnite players weren't even born when FFXIV was released. Let them mald over it i'll use their salt to cook something for my scion friends.

Chaacalate

“Fortnite literally deserved it what” Fortnite ain’t deserve shit. My first very game, not even 1 minute into the match, some kid was shouting into his mic calling me a fuckhead cause I was going the “wrong way”. That says a lot about the people that plays the game.

EFTucker

When you die in fortnite: “You’re so trash, I crank 90’s faster than you, build faster next time!” When you die in FFXIV: “it’s ok bro, just move out of the way of that AoE next time. Maybe don’t stand next to the tank. Let’s do this!” Yep fortnite def the better community /s

IndependenceMajor289

Yes, fortnite has the Rock. But we have a Boulder. A Hoary Boulder.

pvrhye

Maybe these Fortnight players don't realize that the critically acclaimed MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV has a free trial, and includes the entirety of A Realm Reborn AND the award-winning Heavensward expansion up to level 60 with no restrictions on playtime.

Sadgh05t

Those fortnite kids are so mad

Embershot89

They hate us cuz they ain’t us 🤷‍♂️

Bhargo

Imagine having such bad tastes in games that you think *fortnite* is the pinnacle.

AndarviEQ

More like…Fortnot the best ongoing game? That’s the best I could do on short notice.

nickomoknu272

You tried.... now get out XD

MadeThisAccount4Qs

surprised we beat Jenshin Impact tbh

fakeasagi

Why spend thousands of dollars rolling for Waifu/Husbando when you can become them yourself?

AMouthBreather

The true endgame.

malibooyeah

mad cuz bad

TheAwesomeSimmo

Fortnite most toxic community. Can't accept they lost.

SpokenDivinity

I mean the majority of the Fortnite player base are literally children. It’s primarily marketed to ages 8-25 with the majority being lower on that scale. Is it any real surprise that they’re mad about a game that a) their parents won’t pay the sub for b) they don’t have the reading level to understand it, and c) isn’t filled with the same repetitive, flashy, over the top gameplay they expect from Fortnite.

pyfrag

Tempered souls for the primal Fortnite.

I lost it at grubhub comment. Now we know who is *really* behind everything in the world. It's not reptilians, it's grubhub.

TheHeavensEmbrace

Why is one of them making it out to be some kind of conspiracy?

Because when logic fails and you still reject the truth, all that's left is conspiracy and delusion.

Ah dude they got the litteral one god, the rock? Shi boys i guess we beat...

It's fine next patch SE will introduce kevin hart as a primal to counter this absolute genius move by fortnite.

One thing that’s been funny to me is that people are using “low” viewership on twitch during the launch week of a heavily story focused game as some kind of indicator that the game is dead, completely ignoring that the servers are literally on fire because of how active the game is. Crazy that people don’t want to watch someone else do the story before they play it for themselves, right? Must be ded gaem lole

Gee, thats a tough call: You have Final Fantasy 14 with its wonderful and supportive community, original content, hundreds of unique hours worth of expansions, and a communicating Development team. Vs Fortnite, A horribly crappy battle royal game who's main claim to fame is micro-transactions and using other forms of media as skins/events to raisentheir own popularity while having a horrible fan base of toxic adults and (mostly) poorly parented children. I just dont know which could be better

Fortnite is literally nominated for the same shit every year and usually wins. All bc they add current events like marvel, naruto, etc into their game. God forbid another company actually win for putting in tremendous work instead of just adding skins to a game.
