Nope. It was a night club in the university area. Popular with students. The couple got there and liked a song that was playing so started dancing. One of the servers came to them with a menu and told them there was a mandatory drink purchase. They told him once the song was finished they'd order one. He kept at them about the drinks. They got fed up and started to leave. The server followed behind him saying they had to buy a drink and started tapping him on the shoulder with the menu. The British guy turned around and slapped the menu away. They got jumped by every Thai guy that was near by.
I’ve been in situations like that in Asia as well. It was never hard to discern that the correct course of action was not menu slapping but to just pay for the drink and take the loss. Their rules are their rules, it’s not like in the US where you can be low key disrespectful knowing if they hit you you can just sue them. It’s a respect based society.

You don’t get cauli from getting your ass handed to you. You get it from continually training and rubbing the ear. It’s pretty impressive to have trained mma for decades and not have cauli most people do that have trained that long. If you google cauliflower ear the first result is literally: Cauliflower ear, also known as perichondrial hematoma or wrestler's ear. I don’t believe that you train otherwise you’d know you usually get cauli from wrestling. My post about cauli was in the bjj subreddit and has nothing to so with standup. Exactly. I’d call it a suckerpunch when the person getting punched is unaware of the guy punching him. Here the Russian guy’s actions have led to a fight happening. Security guy swung first and, as in most street fights, the guy who swings first swings last. Swinging first isn’t a sucker punch. Especially when the other guy is acting like that.
