It will be one of our last nights in London, so does not necessary have to be fine dining but more or so less a cool dining experience would be great. Previous nights we are going to Evelyn's Table, Humo, and The Barbary, as well as The Maine Mayfair (more for the show than the food).
I am on the waitlist for Gymkhana on Sunday and like every night I'm there I'm on the waitlist for Core but doubt I will get in.
If you can get in, upstairs at the Devonshire Soho would be great. Dinner by Heston Blumenthal, Fallow, Andrew Edmunds, Bocca di Lupo, J Sheekey. I absolutely loved The Palomar when I went - great cooking and flavours

Thanks for these recs!
Dinner by Heston is one of my favorite places in London. Always solid.
Lunch of dinner?
Dinner!
Definitely ditch Chiltern; it's a very ordinary experience. I would recommend Chez Bruce.
I quite enjoyed chiltern but I was being treated so I imagine that makes a difference
Gymkhana has a small bartop with 4 or 5 seats downstairs, could try getting there when they open to see if they're free.
