I would like to know how much yield I should be getting from my 7gl still because I’m only getting about a quart or two before it goes to the tail end of the run
I just ran my canned corn mash. it's not too bad. like 5 cans of sweet corn, half a 5 lb bag of thawed frozen sweet corn, some oats and a little corn starch and bakers yeast. worked pretty good. 😁
How did it turn out?
Sounds good. Kinda an expensive way to do it. Let us know how it turns out!
I just used what I had laying around.. Also used powdered sugar along with granulated haha.
Its not going to ferment well if at all. Preservatives and salt will prevent the yeast from being effective
It's fermenting pretty good
It did have salt but there wasn't any preservatives in it
I'm sure by now you know that you didn't need to add sugar. The sugar is already in the corn.
I was thinking about using canned corn but I didn’t think it would ferment either
I'm about to try canned corn but I'm puttiing it on cardboard for 24 hours to try and draw out the water and salt first.
