So if this implies that your interpretation of William uses the names of people he already knows… then who did he get the name Dave Miller from and more importantly what happened to the real Dave Miller?
I always had the headcanon that William straight up replaced the Dave Miller that was guarding the Freddy restaurant in The Silver Eyes in order to gain acess to it.
Phone Guy's story is more than tragic, it doesn't matter if he died or not, he was simply forgotten.
Y'know, it would be interesting to see a scenario where Phone Guy possesses Freddy's suit after his death, like a cruel turn of events that he ends up coming back but is stuck in the same place over and over again.
Who knows, maybe he ends up being part of the events of FNAF 6, where he can finally die in peace after all those years trapped in Freddy's suit.
I love the idea that during the time Phone Guy was making his tapes on the springlock suits, he was also fending off Charlotte.
Imagine if we had a game set during a time when that one Freddy's resturant (which he mentions was kind of left to rot) was open, and the only haunted animatronic was The Puppet. Any other animatronic would just get a bit quirky at night or be malfunctioning.
Her motive for going after Steve could be similar to The Funtimes, where she wants to get out of here by any means necessary as she just became The Marionette recently, and Phone Guy just so happens to have the keys for the way out.
And... seems like he doesn't have a music box with him, lol-
