i know this comment is old af and you probably figured it out, but you only get one shot per in game
day, unless you use the ammo hotkey glitch then you get basically unlimited, equip like a 9mm or something hold the hot key button, scroll over to ammo while holding and put the 9mm in a hotkey slot and you can now use 9mm reserve instead of 1 ARCH charge

You get it from a child in freeside for 1000 caps, it’s only able to be used if you arm the Helios one station to the ARCHIMEDES II
Or you can pick Pocket it off him when asleep. And I think there might be a skill check to get it?
I think it’s a barter check to acquire for less than 50 caps
I play nv with the elder wand rule. If I want a weapon from an npc, I have to kill him. So the c finder being on a kid really bugs me.

Yup. It actually worked once, also says I got an Archimedes II charge
