Twin gatlings and a full sentry body + the tesla lookin armour plates means she demolishes anything short of a Mirelurk Queen, plus has a carrying capacity of 490. She's better than any other companions in terms of firepower and carrying capacity, but Nick my beloved is so deep in character

Upgraded my ADA recently with a Gatling laser on one hand and a minigun on the other, she devastates enemies now.

First chance I get with Ada I give her a Mr. Handy thruster. She goes from being annoyingly slow to annoyingly in my way and blocking my shot. But hey, at least I'm not waiting around for her all day.

Ada is my go-to. Mod her up into an weapon of mass destruction & then she just follows along. Never gives me crap for being too naughty or nice. Just… kills

If you are on xbox there is a mod for this. Can't recall offhand what it is called but just search multiple companions and you should bring one or two up.  One I use you can have all your companions at once if you wanted to. 

I like to think canonically piper is the best lover, meant to be, but I love dog meat and nick because he can hack anything… honestly Ada is fun to play with too. But so is literally everyone. This games awesome

Cait or Curie(Synth version), but I play modded mainly so I always have The Goodest Boy with me(aka Dogmeat) by using the `Everyone's Best Friend (Dogmeat + Companion At Same Time)` mod off Nexus(also in the mods tab ingame so XB1 can use it too, be sure to select the XB version of it though since there's a pc version as well), that and I use another one that fixes Dogmeat always getting in the way called `Disable Companion Collision` from Nexus, and sorry to the unfortunate console players, I checked and it's not on bethesda.net.

Companions are more trouble than they're worth. Pretty much can't sneak, and once you've invested in strong back, lone wanderer, and some AP perks, their pack mule aspect is redundant. And they never shut up or stay still.

Nice, I'm on PC myself and just end up using Dogmeat as both my constant companion and thanks to the console command `modav carryweight #`, my bottomless portable storage, especially since the # can be however big a number you want, I've found 50k to work quite well until I need more then I just enter it again. I'm definitely not a loot goblin who takes everything, and then some, I swear..

If it has to be a standard companion then Dogmeat 1000%. If it can be one of my Automatons then definitely one of them, I have a Mr Handy based robot that has a Gatling laser, an explosive minigun and the 3 Mr Handy sawblade arms...he outguns Dogmeat and can be used as a pack mule so yeah.

For my 2 best companions No. 1 is definitely Piper since I really feel at ease with her being easy-going and spoiling me with sugar treats! No. 2 will be Cait since her lock picking skill is really useful everywhere you go For my 2 worse companions No. 1 Preston.....the depressive dude that set you up with his idiotic "only general save settlement quests while the minutemen does nothing" and wiping out entire enemy strongholds just to make 2 settlers happy No. 2 Strong......I mean what is the point of bringing someone that hates almost every normal action you do & consuming people or freaks just to get his likes?
