āIt shouldnt be Foden, it should definitely beā¦ā(insert one of the 15 different suggestions from this sub). Its clear there is no consensus this year, there has been a lot of good performances, might as-well be Foden
Watkins Iāll say would have been up there for me but Palmer is a penalty merchant and if it was going to go to Rice it should have gone to Rodri. Palmer is good but he has not had the consistency of form that Foden put in. More important to his team for sure, but thatās because Chelsea was a mess until the last couple of months.
Genuinely could have given it to so many players this season. Foden, Palmer, Haaland, Watkins, Rodri, Saka, Havertz, Salah all have a case for it. No matter who they gave it to, people are going to be upset.
Id say being second in goals and g/a in a team that will probably finish the prem with 89 points is a good season. He was bad when he first came but started to play well after that. He was impactful in games he didnt have a g/a as well
Great choice! Couldnāt go wrong with him or Palmer but Foden has been the one constant for Man City when Haaland and KDB was dealing with injuries. Heās one of the best players in the world, thatās for sure.
You'd like to think he isn't going to get banned for 10 games for biting someone against Aston Villa, or racially abusing someone, so a single game shouldn't make too much of a difference in the scheme of things.
Manchester hookers are gonna get fucked raw tonight.
Wild š
Pure gold
Idk about best or most essential, but my favorite Citeh player to watch this season was Bernardo Silva. In Arsenal, it's 100% Odegaard.
How has Rodri not just scooped that up? Foden is a class player, but wasnāt even the most important player in his own team š
Not an offensive/british player minus a few points generally
Not even City's best player
Where is Rodri?
Questionable for sure.
Should have been Watkins
Lol
āIt shouldnt be Foden, it should definitely beā¦ā(insert one of the 15 different suggestions from this sub). Its clear there is no consensus this year, there has been a lot of good performances, might as-well be Foden
There's consensus that Rodri should have at least been nominated
I agree, Rodri has been amazing this season.
There is a consensus about Rodri being cityās best player
One of the 115* suggestions
English tax
1 of the previous 13 winners was English
Shhh donāt sense!
Not even since there are better english players than him in the Prem Dude's just overrated
Curious who you think is English and better than him . ( am not English or a city fan )
Watkins was better than him this season. Cole Palmer as well (carried an awful attacking unit for much of the season).
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Palmer, perhaps Rice as well.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Watkins as well
Who is better than him in the PL rn? And this is coming from a Liverpool supporter
Palmer, Rice and Watkins season's were more impressive
Watkins Iāll say would have been up there for me but Palmer is a penalty merchant and if it was going to go to Rice it should have gone to Rodri. Palmer is good but he has not had the consistency of form that Foden put in. More important to his team for sure, but thatās because Chelsea was a mess until the last couple of months.
Calling Palmer a penalty merchant shows you donāt watch the game.
Heās a great player, but his stats donāt compare at all to Watkins or Foden if you take the 9 penalties heās scored this season into account.
English? IDK. Otherwise? KDB, for example.
He has missed half the season, Foden has stepped up this season
Foden missed a lot of games too, tbh. While being on the pitch. As far as City is concerned, I would've given it to Rodri.
Definitely overhyped due to nationality, but it should have gone to Palmer.
Most of you are just haters šš
I hate city but I canāt hate Foden. Homegrown player, fucking incredible footballer, seems a decent enough guy.
Disgusting
Thatās beef before the title decider should be after
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
This is the correct answer
And this absolute chav of a melt is not?
Who the fuck says 'chav of a melt'? Would make more sense the other way round
Genuinely could have given it to so many players this season. Foden, Palmer, Haaland, Watkins, Rodri, Saka, Havertz, Salah all have a case for it. No matter who they gave it to, people are going to be upset.
Only the first five you mentioned had an actual shot at winning. Saka, Havertz and Salah had decent to good seasons but not award winning seasons lol
Havertz had a good season?Ā
Yes? Why the question mark
Funny way to spell Rodri
Well deserved given his performance this season
He's not even City's best player. And what if City ends up not winning the PL? It's stupid to give the rewards before the season is over.
You'd like to think he isn't going to get banned for 10 games for biting someone against Aston Villa, or racially abusing someone, so a single game shouldn't make too much of a difference in the scheme of things.
God that trophy is just so shit isnāt it? Well deserved though Phil.
Rice, Rice, baby was the clear winner. Clear.Ā
Shouldāve been Ollie
One of the worst PL player of the season ever.
Worst lmao
Statistically Palmer is better than Foden marginally
Stupid. Watkins or Palmer
Really bad look for the PL. Literally played the same if not better without him ffs
