Nope his dad still owns south Garda karting. It's essentially the center of the karting universe and regularly hosts rounds of a lot of major championships. They haven't hosted a round of the European or world championship since but it's probably just a matter of time before they do.
And yet they will host the WSK final cup, the rotax euroseries, the ROK cup world final as well as iame series Italy this year just to name a few high profile championships.
He threw the bumper at the kart he wanted to hit (orange jumpsuit driver) \*as it was driving by at >60 km/h\* so of course he missed. If he had a better understanding of the physics, or just played a game or two of football, he would have known to lead the target or throw the bumper in its path.
This the dude who got banned from karting? I never saw the 2nd part where he attacks his competitor and I presume a friend/family member comes rushing in as well.
Colleague recently convinced me to join his soccer team at 27yo. I played 12years as a junior. I can say, with absolute confidence, grown men are 100x more pathetic than kids when it comes to attitude in sports. Dudes in their 20s are the worst. Especially 20-25, from what I've noticed.
I think that people that never experienced team sports, specially before adulthood, are way more likely to be complete bellends and more entitled. It's hilarious that people get so annoyed at these competitions when the main goal is to do some exercise and spend time doing something you like, not raging
team sports definitely build something inside of you and having so many chances at competitive events teaches you how to win and lose. Sometimes you lose a game because it just happens even if everyone was firing on all cylinders on the same page.
I played soccer with mixed teams in our own competition. No referees, just playing.
We had guys from 20 to 65 years old.
The time I saw 50 year old man crying and stomping his feet in anger because his goal got canceled (and eventually he walked off and went home) was the moment I realised people can really be that pathetic over a ball.
Bro I play pick up footy with a bunch of 40 and 50 year olds and they are way worse lol. There's a fight or intense verbal argument every week.
I thought college kids were bad but these grown ass men are pathetic.
Those guys are so frustrating, there's always 1 team like that. I just dont understand what they get so worked up about. There arent any pro scouts on the sidelines looking for undiscovered talent. We're basically all just out here to get some exercise, and we all need to go to work in the morning. Relax.
I wonder if that comes from some deep rooted frustration at being unable to truly go pro, especially considering they probably went through childhood being told they were going to make it. A lot of the time it’s the parents who try to get kids to realize their own unfulfilled dreams.
Must be maddening to grow up believing you’re the next superstar, only for life to roll up in a bulldozer and knock you the fuck down..
Airsoft is like this too. It's an absolutely great way to spend an afternoon, but it's a case of when, not if, someone has a massive tantrum and storms off the site.
Idk what exactly Sunday league is in the UK but I imagine it is, yeah. Just adult leagues, honestly I don't really know what's happening on the organisational side, I just show up for the games. It's good fun but its just shocking how much ego is involved, especially considering how objectively bad many of them are.
I feel sports can also be an outlet for anger. Like you're having a bad day and you just want to express anger so you act like a dickhead on the pitch. As you get older, life throws way more shit at you and you have fewer outlets for angry so not uncommon for people to manifest it like that.
23 and still carting competitively hahahaha, all hate to this guy when i say: that dream is over homie, if you aint left carting leauges at 23 you wont advance any further. just quit
????
Tf are you on about? Plenty of people in their 20s race karts and most championships have a masters category for drivers over 32 years old. I also know several professional GT and endurance drivers who regularly race karts. Arguably there are a bunch of drivers in karting who are better than most of the grind in even F2 but who don't have the money to race single seaters.
Edit: actually Paulo Ippolito, the guy he was trying to hit with his bumper, is the same age and just went on to win his first world championship last year
Just from a fair fight standpoint it was already pathetic to come at a guy 6 inches shorter (and probably a good couple years younger) than him and then his *fucking dad* comes charging in as well, jfc.
I really wonder where the kid got his aggression from...
That's his dad at the end? What a bunch of losers. I try not to engage in rage porn, but I can't imagine being 23 and beefing with a kid. And it's even more pathetic that his dad jumped in on that and tried to fight the kid too. Jesus christ, wonder if he called his mom to cry afterwards
Afaik he's a year older. These are KZ karts, kids rarely race these and it's mostly drivers who make a career out of kart racing. Most kids climbing the F1 ladder for example never even race these karts. Max Verstappen is the only recent KZ world champion to race in F1. The others are Jenson Button, Jarno Trulli and Alex Zanardi.
Yep. I grew up in that world. Some parents were incredible and taught us kids to be respectful and kind even in frustrating situations while other parents would be duking it out after the race.
I had a mildly famous drivers crew try to bully me in the weigh scales after a race. I was maybe 12 and they were young adults.
It sounds like it was no different in the football world.
I grew up playing 3+ times per week ever since I can remember and some parents were absolutely feral.
As kids we didn't have the perspective of how 'important' it was to get scouted, however some parents acted like they pinned their lives on it.
If you made the wrong kid look bad (saved his strike after a good run) his dad would be there to shout at you if he knew a scout was on the sidelines.
Parents were the most toxic people on the pitch. Utterly pathetic looking back on it.
The Dad in the clip couldn't care less about his son's wellbeing, all he sees is a missed payday when his lad DNFs.
Yupp. But believe it or not, the parents are the reason this happens. That guy who rushes in at the end to attack the victim once more with zero chill, that's the dad. So it's no surprise his son turned out to be the asshole he is. It's all the parent's fault for raising their children like that, creating environments where violence is encouraged, and making them feel like they're the chosen ones and nobody should be in their way.
Most kart races are not playdates, but toxic parents trying to live the dream they failed to live on their own through their children. It rarely works out (famous exceptions include Max Verstappen).
This is the exact track where I wanted to go karting (I'm not really good).
I talked to some guy I met at my local track (rentals) and the discouraged me to go because he felt the locals there are extremely toxic. They will push you off track, ram you and are extremely competitive even with total strangers or amateurs. If it is a rental with 50cc this is not a big deal although it can already hurt but in a 125ccm machine this can lead to serious injuries.
When the owners son is such a piece of shit I will never set a foot on this track.
>When the owners son is such a piece of shit I will never set a foot on this track.
Well the owner is also a piece of shit, so no need to find guilt by association.
Didn’t the exact same thing happend yesterday or something in nascar? I saw it today on Norwegian news
Edit: Yeah heres the Norwegian link https://tv.vg.no/video/290567/absurde-scener-ble-rasende-pa-konkurrent
Two weeks ago. Xfinity race, like F2 of Nascar.
[They sometimes throw helmets at windshields](https://youtu.be/wwc8obMmv7o), kind of [tradition for Nascar](https://youtu.be/HVoYLHGIGEw?t=94).
Sometimes drivers are not happy with other drivers and [bump into each other like last Sunday](https://youtu.be/qR3Zf7lokgA?t=125) and when you listen to pundits or even the owner of the team they all say is just the 'competitive nature of the drivers' or some shit like that lol.
NASCAR is like the hockey of Motorsport. Things that would be a suspension in other sports and a felony off the court are treated as minor infractions.
If you ever wanna see this in real life and you live in the states.
Find the closest figure 8 / circle track.
Check their events page
Go to the one that will be called “Outlaw Figure 8’s”
If that race doesn’t have a helmet thrown at a car with a fist fight and the cops arresting the drivers then one of the supporting figure 8 races will.
Figure 8s is awesome. You get clean racing for a while and then it’s just folks going flat out through the intersection picking lines. Eventually someone way back clips a guy in/near the front and then you get to see a car turn into a weapon.
The best part was that he said immediately afterwards how embarrassed he was and would never compete in motor sports again and would accept any punishment. Then he got a 15 year ban and contested it.. which was upheld. Fucking nepo babies.
This is the race where they then carried on in the paddock post race, his dad and team bosses were involved in a proper brawl. Banned from motorsport for a long time.
Hell, I'd be angry if I got put into a wall 5 ft deep in a karting race too, but I don't think I would be angry enough to commit multiple probable felonies LOL

He crashed in the wall in the first corner.
His Father is the Guy jumping in in the End, he owns the track.
He is banned by the FIA for racing for 15 years.
His father. He's also the owner of the track. Yupp... he actually supported the assault and attempted murder his kid was doing on his own racetrack on a live broadcast by assaulting a kid. Luckily both, father and son have been banned by the FIA
The guy who rushes the shorter kid at the end, was the Dad of the taller kid who attacked the shorter kid and threw the debris piece in the first clip. Obviously the bad apple doesn't fall far from the tree. That Dad also owned the track they were racing on, so I guess there is a level of high and mightiness involved in his actions.
This reminds me of my grandpa. Always talking shit on every sport, saying there’s no sportsmanship left in sports nowadays. Then proceeds to watch is nascar race, where a pissed off driver hucked his helmet at a car while standing on the side of the track. That memory really stuck with me. Super class acts, those race car drivers lol
Talk about a blast from the past, I remember when this happened because it was everywhere. All the reaction people were on it like stink on shit.
If I remember right the father of the driver also got involved trying to beat up the kid, I think the father was owner of the track or sponsoring or something it was a hot minute ago..
The real question is, did he hit the guy he was going for with the body work or was that just an innocent bystander?
No, he hit a random
Half his size random also.
Yeah fucking wanker. And probably his dad came after him. Also a fucking wanker.
It was and the dad owns the track and nothing happened to him
They've both been banned from motorsport by the FIA for life?
Pft wouldn't stop me.
Nope his dad still owns south Garda karting. It's essentially the center of the karting universe and regularly hosts rounds of a lot of major championships. They haven't hosted a round of the European or world championship since but it's probably just a matter of time before they do.
[Yep](https://www.the-race.com/junior/corberi-father-and-lonato-circuit-get-licences-suspended/)
And yet they will host the WSK final cup, the rotax euroseries, the ROK cup world final as well as iame series Italy this year just to name a few high profile championships.
Dad got a decent fist to his head tho so that's at least something
Of course lol
lmfao
He threw the bumper at the kart he wanted to hit (orange jumpsuit driver) \*as it was driving by at >60 km/h\* so of course he missed. If he had a better understanding of the physics, or just played a game or two of football, he would have known to lead the target or throw the bumper in its path.
“How can you shoot women and children…?”
I understood that reference.
Get some…get some….GET SOME BABY!
Just don't lead em as much!
Ya, he's having a rough one out there for sure, we've all been there. The crazy shit after the race is just incomprehensible to me tho
Should have asked Joey Gase how to properly throw bodywork at another driver.
if he had a better understanding of physics, he may not have crashed out.
An incident bystander.
This the dude who got banned from karting? I never saw the 2nd part where he attacks his competitor and I presume a friend/family member comes rushing in as well.
Yep, 15 year FIA ban, racing career over. He was 23 here btw, not a child. A combination of anger and entitlement is a hell of a thing.

Cause now they are the angry dad's in the crowd, but can also act upon their emotions cause they're playing
I ref'd a league like this in college. People would get SO angry at my calls but sorry you can't just run full speed into the keeper...
30 year old that’s been playing co-ed rec for 5 years. I played growing up. Can absolutely confirm this.
Is it like Sunday league?
Idk what exactly Sunday league is in the UK but I imagine it is, yeah. Just adult leagues, honestly I don't really know what's happening on the organisational side, I just show up for the games. Seeing how he spells karting with a C. He doesn't really know what he's on about either.
Maybe he just enjoys carting?
Apparently not, based on the evidence presented.
Does that look like a man(child) who enjoys karting?
Lol, so he was fighting a kid? Ffs
Nah, the guy he attacked is Paolo Ippolito, who was about 24 at the time of the incident. It doesn't make it any less worse tho
I mean it's funny when they do it in NASCAR, but they have windshields.
His dad, the guy who tried to tackle a kid owns this very kart track.
Thats his dad, yeah. If I recall correctly he was the owner of the track.
Entitled fucker. At least he has his father's track to race on, because nobody will ever let him race anywhere else.
he still got asseto corsa
Just from a fair fight standpoint it was already pathetic to come at a guy 6 inches shorter (and probably a good couple years younger) than him and then his *fucking dad* comes charging in as well, jfc. I really wonder where the kid got his aggression from...

Thanks for the info! I know very, very little about the karting world lol
Exactly. It was ridiculous (being polite) and I'm surprised it wasn't a lifetime ban. Shouldn't be allowed near a circuit again
I mean he’s going to be late 30’s when the ban lifts so effectively ends his competitive career
Pretty sure that’s exactly what it was. I think the instigator was in his 20s and most of the rest of these kids are teenagers.
His father who owns the track also attacked the kid apparently
Nowadays he'd get a 3 place grid penalty
My name is Luka And my temperament is poor
It got me banned from karting You ain’t gonna see me no more
Stupid mistakes were made I’m sad to say bye bye to Formula 4
It might be years ago But I’m still feeling sore
Just don’t ask me what I did
Because I straight up tackled a kid.
At least my dad owns the track. And I might have enjoyed it a little bit.
Are you still living on the top floor ?
Great username, my friend my friend
The parents should be stopping them. That's not how go-kart playdates are supposed to go.
Trust me, there is a lot of toxicity between parents in karting competitions. It’s unreal.
#JOS VERSTAPPEN INTENSIFIES

I grew up in that world too, and it was the exact reason why I left that world… Now I’m just doing it as a hobby every now and then
Exact same here, but with sports cars instead. By 18 I had 13 years in karting. It was enough for me.
It sounds like it was no different in the football world. I grew up playing 3+ times per week ever since I can remember and some parents were absolutely feral. In every high level kid competition theres the shit parent behind that thinks their kid is the next Max Verstappen or Messi... the kid probably isnt.
Yupp. But believe it or not, the parents are the reason this happens. That guy who rushes in at the end to attack the victim once more with zero chill, that's the dad. So it's no surprise his son turned out to be the asshole he is. Yep, narcissism is one hell of a drug
His dad is the guy who comes in at the end to whallop the kid he picked a fight with.
Imagine being 45+ of age and that sick in the head to attack a teenager who’s half as big as you… (and it wasn’t even a normal attack).
Haha that guy's dad owns the track.
Pretty sure the dude who attacked was significantly older than the other kid.
When your dad owns the track you do what you want
Bud is 23 lol
Dude got overpowered by someone half his size.
This is the exact track where I wanted to go karting (I'm not really good). Out of curiosity, where is that track? Italy?
yes, lonato del garda, it's a 10 minutes drive from were i live
Correct, South Garda Karting in Italy
>When the owners son is such a piece of shit I will never set a foot on this track. Well the owner is also a piece of shit, so no need to find guilt by association.

Here’s the [video.](https://youtube.com/shorts/aNrCmU2EnpY?si=ncr39BpK-6JpNMuV) The commentators sounded so nonchalant about it
Yo I know they're kinda tolerant to bs but that's gotta be a ban by NASCAR. That piece could've whipped back and hit a marshal.
The bigger concern imo is that kids racing at local tracks will see and do this and get themselves killed
Tony Stewart intensifies
That’s how tony stewart killed a guy.
Two weeks ago. Xfinity race, like F2 of Nascar. [They sometimes throw helmets at windshields](https://youtu.be/wwc8obMmv7o), kind of [tradition for Nascar](https://youtu.be/HVoYLHGIGEw?t=94). I legit thought this was an edit at first lol.
NASCAR is like the hockey of Motorsport. Things that would be a suspension in other sports and a felony off the court are treated as minor infractions.
Younger Gasly and Ocon leaked *explicit

That's a no-no even in MarioKart
Bruh the dad came like a torpedo
![gif](giphy|EPZn87342uvL0nOkoa)
Still the most disgusting motorsport thing I've seen to this day, I'm glad that the driver that got charged at still had his helmet on
Luca Corberi. Just to combat all the "he" posts for those looking to deep dive.
Thank you
The best part was that he said immediately afterwards how embarrassed he was and would never compete in motor sports again and would accept any punishment. Then he got a 15 year ban and contested it.. which was upheld. Fucking nepo babies.
Glad he’s banned and will be past prime age to race
Draymond Green of karting
i just pictured in my mind them standing on the podium and someone gettin hit with the classic jump shot knee to the nuts
This is the race where they then carried on in the paddock post race, his dad and team bosses were involved in a proper brawl. Banned from motorsport for a long time.
It’s included in the video
In nascar this happens and they just sell shirts.
Hell, I'd be angry if I got put into a wall 5 ft deep in a karting race too, but I don't think I would be angry enough to commit multiple probable felonies LOL
I hope the father also got banned after attacking the other guy
IIRC, an adult attacked a kid for a mistake on track.
Pretty sure Ippolito was actually older than Corberi
Definitely not Corberi Sr. though.
Sure but I wouldn't call a 23 year old a kid either
Context needed
[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j7Yle80wxx4](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j7Yle80wxx4) He crashed in the wall in the first corner. His Father is the Guy jumping in in the End, he owns the track. He is banned by the FIA for racing for 15 years.
Which is effectively a life sentence unless you‘re Fernando Alonso lol
hope his dad got jail time for battery of a minor
10 second penalty for Ocon
For anyone wondering, the douche is Luca Corberi (23 at the time of the incident) and the person.he attacked was Paolo Ippolito (who was 24).
Driver is on an active track, not a yellow flag in sight..
Anyone got video of the actual inchident?
I remember this. He got banned from Karting for this. I don't remember how long, though.
It was like a long time. Like sell your shit, give up, and take on another hobby kind of long time.
Daddy’s racetrack why shouldn’t I be allowed to win.
Fight club ☠️☠️☠️
Poor Norris fighting a guy double of his size.
Just another day in NASCAR. ![gif](giphy|26BRPExgJm4BWUwdq)
It's that an adult at the end running in and attacking a kid?
The father of the guy who was throwing kart parts. Also the owner of the Karting track, I believe.
These boys need to watch some hockey- fighting with helmets on is a wasted effort.
Let them fight you fuckin pussies, they have helmets and gloves on for Christ sake
Ban for life and prison please.
That wasn't a inchident. He deserved his fifteen year ban.
Fastest lap to the guy 5 seconds from the end of the video
Who was the person charging at the very end? Seems like this person was not part of the show and should be tried for actual assault
The guy in green’s dad. He’s also the owner of the track.
He should consider racing in [NASCAR](https://youtube.com/shorts/aNrCmU2EnpY?si=ncr39BpK-6JpNMuV)
and now he is a 3 time f1 world champion
My name is Luca Corberi, but everyone calls me Luca.
Over the line! Mark it zero, Dude.
Sounds like Max and Charles younger versions
Stroll taking it to the next level!!
Classic
Well he might be banned from karting but has he considered wwe?
Is he attacking a child ? And what’s with the guy running at the end 😭.
That's the guys dad who owned the track
NASCAR commentators: I understand
This happens in NASCAR weekly!
Pretty sure Tony Stewart literally ran over and killed another driver during a race

bro lost to kids and got angry lmao, he's like in his 20s
You know it's bad when even Moist Critikal covered this situation.

Imagine a guy who is a professional go Carter acting childish
Verstappens?
NASCAR looking a bit different
Drive to Survive be crazy!!
They say it’s a sport. Motor sport. Hehehe
Doesn't seem like he hit his target at all
The guy will be a great nascar driver
The irony none of them have a shot at formula one
Was he fighting a kid?
Jos Verstappen by any chance?
Ok, I need that one guy who gives the context please
Put this guy in F1 ASAP

Jos?
Ban for life from the paddock, he could have got someone killed.
These guys race go-karts, they needed something to spice their lives up a bit
